Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 : Conquest vs War

Olympus was its most tranquil period. Queen Hera bore her third child Eileithyia the baby goddess a few days ago. There was a sudden boom, followed by a shockwave. Buildings trembled and trees were uprooted. But this was a norm in the realm of the gods since the queen bore twin sons a year ago. The boys now looking like teens would fight every chance they got. Their father gave them both tutors to train them but they surpassed them all in their first sessions. Their divinities were extremely combat-oriented.

Ares is the self-proclaimed big brother of the twins and possesses divinity in War, Violence, Battlelust, and Rage. Ares experience a significant boost in their physical abilities when they come into contact with a battle or a fight. His strength, speed, and durability all increase, allowing him to perform feats far beyond his normal capabilities. This enhancement makes him a formidable opponent, capable of withstanding intense physical challenges and delivering powerful attacks.

In the heat of battle, his reflexes sharpened and his agility heightened, enabling him to react swiftly to threats and move with precision. His endurance is also greatly amplified, allowing them to sustain prolonged combat and recover quickly from injuries that would typically incapacitate others.

Ares possesses the extraordinary ability to instantly grasp an opponent's method of fighting. This intuitive understanding allows him to anticipate their moves with uncanny precision. Once he comprehends his enemies' strategies, Ares can effortlessly identify their flaws and weaknesses, enabling him to take them down with minimal effort.

This ability isn't always part of Ares' primary fighting style; instead, it's a powerful tool he can rely on in emergencies. When facing particularly challenging opponents where ordinary methods fall short, this skill becomes invaluable. By leveraging this deep insight into his enemies' tactics, Ares can turn the tide of battle in his favor, outmaneuvering and outsmarting even the most formidable foes. This strategic edge makes him a nearly unbeatable warrior, capable of adapting to any combat scenario with ease.

Ares has the extraordinary ability to sense and manipulate the rage, aggression, and anger within himself and others, including people, animals, and other creatures. This power allows him to influence these emotions in various ways—he can increase or decrease feelings of rage, cause anger to surface, or channel aggression as needed.

In the midst of battle, Ares can amplify his own rage, heightening his strength and ferocity to devastating levels. He can also tap into the anger of his allies, boosting their combat effectiveness and turning them into fierce warriors. Conversely, Ares can dampen the rage of his enemies, sapping their will to fight and reducing their effectiveness in combat.

Ares' manipulation of rage isn't limited to mere emotional influence; he can manifest this emotional energy physically. This means he can harness the raw power of rage to create tangible effects, such as enhancing his physical strength or generating blasts of pure, destructive energy. This ability to turn emotion into physical force makes Ares a fearsome opponent, capable of overwhelming his enemies with the sheer power of controlled fury.

Ares embodies the source of absolute, perfect, and primordial war within every living being, extending his influence directly to cosmic and universal scales. As the personification of war itself, his presence instills an innate understanding and inclination towards conflict in all creatures, from the smallest insect to cosmic entities.

On the battlefield, Ares' power manifests as an overwhelming force that resonates within the hearts and minds of warriors. This primal energy drives them to fight with unmatched ferocity and skill, tapping into the deepest reservoirs of their combative instincts. He can awaken latent warlike tendencies, transforming even the most peaceful beings into fierce combatants.

Ares' influence is not confined to individual battles or earthly conflicts; it spans the entire cosmos. On a world wide scale, he can incite wars among civilizations, fuel conflicts, and stir the hearts of beings to engage in epic struggles. His essence permeates the very fabric of existence, ensuring that the spirit of war is an ever-present force throughout the world.

This omnipresent power makes Ares a formidable and awe-inspiring figure. His ability to ignite and sustain conflict on such a grand scale cements his role as the ultimate arbiter of war.

His twin brother Aatrox is a formidable young god with divinity in Blood, Bones, Conquest, Combat, and Contracts, the fact he possesses five divinities while his brother had four is something he rubs in his face and Ares being the god of violence responds the best way he knows how and we have the current situation.

Aatrox is the living embodiment of conquest, the physical representation of subjugation and domination. As the literal incarnation of conquest, Aatrox possesses the unparalleled ability to effortlessly conquer anything or anyone. This power enables him to seize dominion over whatever he desires through any means necessary, without struggle or resistance.

In the presence of Aatrox, the concept of conquest is no longer a mere strategy or effort but a natural and inevitable outcome. His very being exudes an aura of dominance that compels submission from all who encounter him. Whether through sheer force, psychological manipulation, or a display of overwhelming power, Aatrox can bend the will of individuals, armies, and even entire civilizations to his command.

Aatrox's influence extends beyond mere physical subjugation. He can conquer minds and spirits, breaking down the resistance of even the most steadfast opponents. His power allows him to infiltrate and dominate every aspect of his targets, ensuring total control over their actions and decisions.

This embodiment of conquest means that Aatrox can turn the tide of any battle, subdue any foe, and claim any territory with absolute ease. His mere presence on the battlefield instills fear and submission, as those who face him know that resistance is futile. Aatrox's dominion is all-encompassing, making him an unstoppable force of subjugation and a true master of conquest.

Aatrox wields the unparalleled ability to create and enforce any type of contract or pact with absolute authority. This power extends to agreements made with anyone or anything, including himself. Aatrox dictates every condition of these contracts, ensuring that all terms are meticulously outlined, including qualifiers for any scenario where one or more parties might attempt to breach the agreement.

The conditions imposed by Aatrox's contracts are immutable and inescapable. Once established, these terms will always and inevitably come to pass, regardless of the circumstances. The binding nature of these contracts is such that no external force or being can negate, nullify, or undo them. Only Aatrox himself holds the power to alter or terminate the agreements he creates.

This capability allows Aatrox to exert an extraordinary level of control over others. He can bind his enemies to terms that ensure their defeat, compel allies to unwavering loyalty, or secure resources and power with guarantees that cannot be broken. The contracts he forges are instruments of ultimate control, dictating the fates of those bound by them with unwavering certainty.

In battle, Aatrox can use this power to dictate the terms of engagement, ensuring victory by binding his opponents to conditions that guarantee their downfall. In broader schemes, he can secure alliances, manipulate events, and shape destinies through the ironclad agreements he enforces. This ability to control through contracts adds a layer of strategic depth to his already formidable combat prowess, making him a master of both direct and indirect domination.

Aatrox's contracts are not merely agreements; they are absolute edicts that shape reality itself. The terms he sets are not subject to negotiation or alteration by any means other than his own will. This makes Aatrox a figure of immense power and influence, capable of bending the very fabric of reality to his designs through the unbreakable pacts he imposes.

Aatrox embodies the very concept of combat in all its forms, including mental, physical, spiritual, and conceptual battles. His mastery over conflict is all-encompassing, allowing him to influence and control the progression of any struggle, no matter the area or the number of participants involved.

His expertise extends to the use of all weapons, mastery of martial arts, and unparalleled proficiency in both strategy and tactics. His understanding of the intricacies of warfare, including logistics and statistics, is so profound that he is considered a deity of combat.

In the heat of battle, Aatrox's presence is overwhelming. He can predict and manipulate the course of any conflict, ensuring that the outcome aligns with his desires. His mental acumen allows him to outthink and outmaneuver opponents, while his physical prowess ensures he can dominate in direct combat. Spiritually, he can break the will of his enemies, turning their strengths into weaknesses and their confidence into doubt.

Aatrox possesses the formidable ability to create, shape, and manipulate both blood and bones. This power adds a terrifying dimension to his already immense combat prowess, allowing him to control these fundamental elements of life with ease.

By combining his control over blood and bones, Aatrox can unleash devastating attacks and defenses. He can create constructs of bone infused with blood, enhancing their strength and flexibility. In combat, this combination allows him to adapt to any situation, making him an even more unpredictable and deadly opponent.

The arena, one of several on Mount Olympus was practically destroyed, which not to say it was poorly constructed, not, anything built by the likes of the elder cyclops could never be poorly constructed. But the force being unleashed seemed to have no end. The power outputted by the two brother seemed to rise with ever other clash. There domains fed on conflict of any kind and a spar on this level was a feast without end.

The brothers had grown into young men during this past year. They both looked to be in there early twenties.

Ares was donned in all black armor that was broken in certain areas. Half the chest plate and horned helmet was gone. His cape was in tatters. His exposed are on his chest had a cuts with golden ichor seeping out. Yet his eyes both in and outside the helm blazed with fire. His grip on his war axe was tight and the smile n his face was feral. His hair flowed wildly in the tempest that raged from the repeated clashes.

Aatrox wore no chest plate just bone gauntlets and grieves with baggy pants. His black hair flowed in the wind and his eyes were shining red with golden veins pulsing around his eyes, chest and arms. The cuts and wounds on his body were steaming as they healed rapidly. The blood red spear gripped in his right hand pulsed with golden veins.

There was shimmering barrier around the arena with cracks and fissure the look like braking glass. Several minor gods were helping to power the barrier from the audience area after things escalated. Further away from the area high above the ground in the V.I.P area sat the Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter and Hestia. On Hera's lap was and infant. The infant had black hair liker her fathers and brown eyes like her mother.

"Brother-Husband can you now intervene. This is has been going on for three days." Hera asked with a sigh as she rocked baby Eileithyia.

"She right brother. What if they inflict damage to each other that can't be healed." added Hestia.

"The tree's in the area are being uprooted. That was hard work" huffed Demeter.

Poseidon merely chucked as he heard their complaints. "Let them fight. Their young men a good fight build character."

Hera's eyes narrowed at his comment in obvious disagreement. Before turning to Zeus with a look that promised an evening of lectures, and worst of all no sex. Zeus rolled his eyes and sighed as his head his older brother snicker.

"My sons, Decide the winner in the next move. You mother worries." he said softly but his voice reverberated in the area.

"Yes Father" the both said.

"Awww mother worries for you Ares"

"Shut up Aatrox, as the baby brother she obviously worries about me gutting you"

Aatrox snorted "I doubt that" He got into a stance. "Shall we"

Ares nodded as the blaze in his eyes increased. Ares, the god of war, channels the full extent of his divine power into a single, cataclysmic attack that embodies the chaos, fury, and devastation of war. Ares calls upon his boundless fury, his armor and weapons radiate with divine energy as the ground trembles beneath his feet. Ares raises his war axe, towards the sky. Dark storm clouds gather overhead, crackling with red lightning and thunder. The air becomes thick with the scent of blood and ozone. The spirits of countless fallen warriors are summoned to Ares' side, forming an ethereal army that mirrors his own rage and determination. These spectral soldiers chant war cries that resonate through the arena, like a thunder.

The spectators in the area felt there moral boost and their strength rise. With a roar that echoes like a thousand battle cries.

At the same time, Aatrox begins to spin his spear rapidly, creating a vortex blood that draws in the life essence of all nearby beings whether they be plant live the ground or the gods weakening them and transferring their power into the spear.

The vortex grows larger and more violent, the sheer force lifting Atrox into the air. The energy within the spear reaches its peak, causing the blade to sprout thorns and glow with an intense, malevolent crimson light. Half the sky takes on a crimson hue, and the battlefield is bathed in a sinister red glow. The clouds that gather above start to weep blood, a crimson rain that soaks the ground, black and red lightning crackles through the clouds, and thunder roars like the clashing of immense weapons and bone growths emerge, creating a hellish, war-torn landscape.

"Bring it brother" roared Ares as he brings his weapon down with immense force. A shockwave of destructive energy erupts from the point of impact, radiating outward in a massive, expanding circle of devastation. The shockwave carries with it the combined might of the fires of war, red lightning, and the ethereal blades of the warrior spirits.

Aatrox let out a mad cackle in response." Run him trough". Atrox hurls his at his brother with all his might. The spear strikes with such force that it creates a massive, blood-red shockwave.

The ground itself shatters, and from the point of impact, a massive eruption of blood, bones, fire and lightning that consumed the arena, destroyed the barrier and and threatened to consume the everting and everyone nearby.

Hera panicked seeing her sons consume by the collision of their attacks. "Brother-Husband". Zeus created a barrier of white lightning around the of the vicinity of the energy that was still advancing outward. He then use the barrier to force the energy upward. The chaotic energy parted the sky, cleared the clouds and detonated in the stratosphere, yet the tremors shock Olympus.

The audience or minor gods, goddesses, satyrs and nymphs gulped and thanks their king for intervening. Zeus dropped the barrier, the dust clears from area and the ruble that was once the arena became visible.

Ares and Aatrox forms could be seen. Ares helmet was gone his torso was littered with scars, golden blood leaked from his mouth and noes and he was on one knee. Aatrox has a a few scars and burn mark on hos shoulder. His gauntlets were gone and he stumbled a few steps back before orienting himself.

"It's...your win...broth-" Ares fell forward unconscious before he could finish. Aatrox smiled a bloody smile. Then his eyes rolled back in his head a he fainted with standing.

The audience began cheering in reverence at the spectacle the princes gave them. Hestia rushed down followed by a panicked Hera.

" Olympus, hear me now!

We are the pantheon, the divine arbiters of fate, and the custodians of the mortal realm. Our power is not merely in our strength, but in our unity, our wisdom, and our resolve. As demonstrated by your prince, my sons. It is through our combined might that the seasons turn, the storms rage, and the fires of creation burn. Our will shapes the heavens and the earth, the oceans and the skies. We stand as the guardians of balance and order, our power unparalleled and our purpose unshakable."

Zeus use the moment to strengthen their faith in his rule.
