"You children got guts showing yourselves again. Maybe, you are not so useless." They both let out a deep chuckle and their mouths curl up into a sinister smile.
Seijuro and Lily continue to point their weapons at the creatures. The creature pounces at Lily, and she swings her staff upwards, sending the creature flying into through the ceiling of the school. Before jumping through the hole she created, she looks back at Seijuro,
"Good luck, Yoshiki. Try not to die." He smiles and looks back too,
"You too, Lily." Seijuro then turns his head back around to face his opponent.
Lily lands on top of the roof. The creature slowly begins to get to its feet and this time, it was no longer smiling,
"Do you not remember what happened last time, child?" It says mockingly.
She simply smirks, which only confuses the boogeyman,
"Yeah I do. You getting nervous?"
"Such arrogance! You must be cleansed of your sins!" It charges directly at her, striking its claw directly at Lily's head.
She ducks and swings her staff at its knee, causing it to lose balance and fall towards the right. It grabs the front side of her haori. She swings her staff at it's hand, causing it to release her haori. Lily lifts her staff over her head,
"Brawn of Heracles." She slams her staff on its head.
The ground below them begins to crack and Seijuro glances upward to see the ceiling breaking. The creature charges at Seijuro. He quickly lifts his sword up in front of him to block its claw, which he successfully does. He pushes the boogeyman back and it stumbles,
We're in a narrow place! This technique will be perfect!
Seijuro tightens his grip around his sword. He focuses his dark matter into hands and let's it flow into his blade, which begins to turn dark purple. He lifts his sword above his head,
"Wani's Hurricane!" A huge dark purple strike moves towards the creature, cutting the floor and the ceiling like butter.
It slices it in half, as it lets out a screech and it begins to bare its fangs. Seijuro places his left foot backward and his right foot forward. He positions his sword to his side and grips it with his right hand. His legs start to glow dark purple and he dashes,
"Kiyohime's Vengeance!" He violently swings his sword multiple times, slicing the creature into several pieces,
This child… is a prodigy…
The final slice splits the boogeyman's head in half and Seijuro lands on the other side of the hallway, breathing quite heavily,
The combination of both those attacks… made me use a lot of dark matter. Cutting it into several pieces doesn't seem to kill it either.
He starts to scan its entire body, searching for any signs of a weakness, when suddenly his eyes stop on its torso. As it's regenerating, Seijuro can see part of its heart slowly forming and that's when it clicks,
That other boogeyman! It must have the other part of that heart! It can split itself into two powerful boogeymen! We can't let it fuse back! If me and Lily strike both of their hearts at the same time… we can end it!
Meanwhile, Lily continues to pressure the boogeyman. Striking it quickly before it gets the chance to regenerate or use an ability,
"Lightning…" She swings her staff directly at its jaw, sending it flying off the roof and onto the street below.
People begin to run away and Lily lands perfectly in front of the creature. It quickly stands up. She swings her staff upward to its face, however it manages to barely move out the way. She performs a side kick, knocking it backwards,
This girl… she was struggling so hard the last time we fought…
She pierces her staff straight through the torso of the creature,
"Aeolus' Storm." Her staff spins violently, producing sound shards within the boogeyman, causing it to explode,
Damn this child! She is actually putting up a good fight! My other half isn't doing so well either! Her sound attacks are getting more annoying!
"Come on. Regenerate, so I can beat you down all over again." She says coldly, with a stoic expression on her face.
She leans against her staff and waits for the small, dark purple blobs to come back together,
"You dare mock me?!" The mouth of the creature had formed and spoke angrily,
"Well, seeing as you can't die, you're just an infinite punching bag to me." It now has come together and returns to its normal height.
It glares down at Lily, with a disgusting snarl. She lets out a yawn and gets back into her stance. Overconfidence flows through her,
Looks like Captain Lisa was right. I am a lot stronger than before, but I can't keep this up forever. I don't know how to kill this guy. Yoshiki should be handling himself quite well.
It slowly lifts its hand up,
"Lightning Type: Death Bolt!" A lightning strike is directed at Lily.
She quickly jumps into the air and spins, narrowly evading the strike. It connects against the wall of the school and destroys it instantly,
I can't get hit by that! Not even once! It didn't seem to injure me last time, but it knocks me back and fatigues me. I can't afford any dark matter loss.
Seijuro glances to his left and now can see Lily in the distance. He quickly runs out of the school and towards her. The creature follows him and is about to grab him into a bear hug, when suddenly Seijuro stops running and turns around, swinging his sword in the process,
"Ryu's Breath!" It quickly lifts its arms to protect its torso, however Seijuro manages to slice them off,
"LILY!" Her head whips around to look at him,
"PIERCE THE HEART! NOW!" She doesn't think twice, she lifts her staff up, both of her hands are placed in the middle of her staff. She holds it at a diagonal position,
"Apollos Whip!" She starts swinging her staff diagonally, aiming directly at the boogeyman's arms, cutting them off instantly.
She quickly charges forward, now gripping her weapon with one hand,
"Spartan Assault!" She thrusts her staff forward and it pierced straight through the heart of the boogeyman.
It lets out a loud screech and Seijuro quickly performs the same feat,
"Wrath Of Tatsu!" His sword penetrates its heart and both let out a loud screech,
"You lose!" Lily yells at the top of her lungs.
They keep their weapons placed firmly in both of the boogeymen's torsos. They both suddenly start to glow a light purple and expand. Seijuro and Lily remove their weapons and quickly stand back to back. They can only wait to see what will happen,
It looks like both of them are about to explode!
Seijuro quickly glances at Lily,
"We can't let them explode here, Lily! Quickly! Knock them into the tree line! Don't hit them!" She nods and and grips her staff from the middle, but this time with one hand,
"Hermes' Dart!" The sound shockwave connects onto the creature, sending it flying towards the tree line. He grips his sword tightly and charges his sword with his dark matter,
"Ryu's Breath!" He swings his sword violently, the shockwave of his swing sends the bloated figure flying into the air and disappearing behind the tree line,
"Yoshiki, let's find them now!" They both run into the forest.
They both follow the destroyed trees and stop at where it ends. Seijuro and Lily stand in the clearing that they created the day before. They look around, however the creatures are nowhere in sight. Immediately, they put their guard up and stand back to back,
"Yoshiki, don't let your guard down."
"Don't worry about me."
"I wasn't worrying about you. If that thing isn't here and it took both of their hearts to be hit, that means it is one body, but split. If it has fused..." His eyes widen slightly,
Lily figured it out herself too. How could I be so stupid?! Sending both of them in the same direction!
A sudden shadow passing by in the corner of Lily's eye, causes her head to whip around. More shadows keep pacing around both of their eyes, however they can't seem to get a glimpse of what it is. They keep turning their heads left and right, but the shadow only gets faster. They hear laughter, hidden within the trees. A chill runs down Seijuros spine, when all of a sudden, it stops. They can only wait in silence. A drop of sweat runs down the side of Lily's forehead. A loud crash in front of her causes Seijuro to turn around to face that direction. As the dust clears, both of their eyes widen at what they are seeing. A man, standing at 6 foot with dark purple skin and eyes stands there. It had a large, white smile on its face. It wore a sleeveless black haori and pants and he stood barefoot. His body was well built and written on its chest in Japanese, was "nightmare." Lily and Seijuro can only stare at him,
A… nightmare…
He quickly reaches for his haori pocket and she does the same,
"Looking for something, children?" They both glance up to see that he is dangling the two buttons in his hands,
"Sadly, I cannot destroy them, but you won't be calling for help. I may be powerful, but not stupid to try fight a Captain." He places them in his small pouch around his waist.
They remain wide eyed and their legs begin to feel weak,
When did he…
Seijuro remembers when he was trapped in a bear hug by one of his clones. Lily thinks back to how he grabbed the front pocket of her haori. They both realise how they were played from the start,
This whole time… it could have ended us at any point…
Fear begins to grow in both their hearts. The creature slams his fist into its own palm, maintaining that sinister smile on its face,
"Now, let's run it back."
