"Are you saying that you're different?" asked Daemond in an amused voice.
Annica turned her small body and looked up at him.
"I feel different. Didn't you say that I was your favorite toy?" Annica asked.
"That's right. For now."
Daemond's answer made Annica curl her lips. But soon the man continued.
"But I think you're right. You are different. All right, I'll let you call my name in front of everyone as long as you promise me something."
Annica could see a glint in Daemond's eyes that made her brow frown.
"Promise? What promise?"
Daemond brushed Annica's sticky hair from her forehead with a smile.
"Promise not to wander around alone anymore. I don't want something like this to happen to you again."
The blue eyes looked into Daemond's green eyes for a moment before nodding.
"Alright. I can do that. I promise."
Daemond brought his lips up to kiss Annica's forehead.
"Good girl," he whispered.
