Kiara's POV
The world around me is heavy, suffocating, and I can barely tell what's real. My legs feel like jelly, and my vision blurs at the edges, but I know something's wrong. The drug—whatever they gave me—still courses through my veins, making it hard to think, to breathe. I was willing to bet my all that it was either Shadrach or my father's idea to "calm me down."
My head stinged and I groaned, grabbing my temples. I had to get out of here, how will I know if Ares was okay if I was trapped in my own hallucination? And so I begin, walking, searching for an exit.
Where am I?
The sky above is twisted, swirling in dark purple and black, the air thick with something vile, something unnatural. A chill runs down my spine, and I shudder, forcing myself to keep moving. The terrain is jagged, broken like a nightmare, and the farther I walk, the more certain I become.
