Abi's frown grew deeper. She took a deep breath to keep her calm.
"What would I get by lying? If I could not eat here. Why would I have been standing here and wasting everyone's time?" she spoke in a logical tone but the woman did not get any of it. Her eyes were only her torn and mud covered dress.
It was a beautiful dress in the morning. But now stains of food on the sleeves and mud had covered most of it. Not to forget the small tear she had received from the stones and pebbles. She looked like a mess and she accepted it but she did not understand what it had to do with this woman.
"If you are still doubtful, you can wait here with me. You will know soon if my friend has gone inside or not." she spoke softly, showing more of her patience. But the woman only took it as nervous excuses.
