Chapter 4 - Cornered

Abi hesitated in giving her hand. She could walk just fine without the hold of a man. But looking at his eyes she knew he would not take no for an answer. With hesitation, she placed her hands on his cold and clammy palm.

"Since you know most of the night shifters are men. I want to escort you there personally so that they do not entertain any funny ideas. Do you know what I meant?" the soft smile on his face could have melted hearts. But Abi was blind to not notice it.

She was only relieved that he did not have those funny thoughts. Her worries were for nothing. She only nodded her head and walked hurriedly. The eyes of the man narrowed but he did not call her or asked her to walk slower.

When she took the lead, he enjoyed the look of her back. She was sexier from behind. God bless the one who brought her such a tight dress.

They stopped in front of a secluded corner of the factory. With no torch to light the area. She looked around.

All around, light and sound were dimming, and the wet chill in the air warned of rain. She pulled her ragged dress closer when he locked his eyes on her body again.

"You can start working here. After all, you are in a hurry." she nodded and ignored him.

Surely he would leave when he would notice that she was too busy with work to entertain him. She knew how he was looking at her. Where his eyes were roaming but girls working like her, did not have any choice. It did not matter. He could look as long as he wanted as long he did not touch her.

But her thoughts were for naught. He did not leave and stood there like he was judging her work but she knew better. So she ignored looking at him. She kept her eyes glued to the work. The moving of her hands, the rolling of dyes, the dripping of extra color from the clothes. The beautiful pattern it formed. The softness of the fur and wool. A rich woman would wear it and flaunt in front of her lover.

Or a mother would buy a dress for her daughter. They would smile wearing it. A warm smile that Abi had only imagined in her dreams. Her eyes burnt with jealousy, the injustice of their lives and the hatred for the rich. They all were full of sin yet they enjoyed the warmth of the sun on their skin. While people like Abigail.. They rot and crawl in the mud and work day and night for rotten bread.

Abi let her hatred burn inside her. For she worked better whenever she was infuriated. Her hands moved faster. Worked better and it was all good until she felt a pair of hands on her lips. The man was leaning too close to her.

"What.. are you doing?" she frowned and struggled but his grip only tightened.

"You can let go of the show. We had enough of it already." he chuckled and leaned to kiss her nape then thought better of it. "The men are too far away to see anyway. You can start for what you are here for." he breathed in her ears and bit them hard.

"Well, it would have been better if you had taken a shower before coming here. But it did not matter. We can take a shower together after we are done with the work here." her whole body froze and then burnt at once. Her eyes narrowed as she understood his meaning and cursed. In the end, the man could not keep his stick inside his pants.

"I am not here for this." she warned but the man only chuckled. Laughed and then paused when she did not move.

"You can drop your act. Do you think i would believe you really wanted to work overtime while you wear this kind of dress and swayed your hips in front of me.'' She did not remember doing any of this but she did not argue with a sick man.

"If you think I am here for this, I apologize. I do not want to work overtime. You can let me go now." she spoke in a cold voice as she pushed him away with full force.

The man was pushed hard. His back hurt a closed and abandoned table full of dirt and dye colors. The color splashed due to the impact and splashed over his perfect white shirt.

His eyes narrowed at her face with something dangerous and sinister.

"You are refusing me?" it was a challenge, "do you know the cost of refusing me bitch?" his voice rose as he looked at her as if she was a pathetic being. He was surprised that she even had a voice.

"I must praise your foolishness. You crossed the line when you destroyed this shirt? Do you know how costly it is?" he took a deep breath and forced a smile on his face, "it is alright. I will forgive you if you crawl between my legs and open that pretty mouth of yours. Satisfy me well and I will let you wash my shirt later and forget about this little disobedience of yours." he signaled her to move in front of him but she did not move.

She glared at him as if she would kill him if tried anything funny.

"I have told you I do not want to do it. You can not force me." she warned but he only laughed and licked his lips.

"Force. Ha! Did you just say force? Are you even a human that I need to force you? Fine! Let me show you who holds the power here. The moment you leave this place, you will be fired from your position. Now you can decide whether you are forced or doing it willingly."
