Lord Maslow fumed in anger when he realized that the Duke was not going to let go of the lady easily. Aalan looks strong and was not going to let them take Esther away,
"You are making the biggest mistake of your life, Duke!" Maslow had had enough of it and he grabbed Aalan by the neck, Esther gasped and she staggered backwards nearly falling if the guards had not grabbed her in time. She could see blood forcing to come out of Aalan's grabbed neck and Maslow bared his fangs to him, he then turned to look at the scared girl and looked at her, it was like he was waiting for her to say something and she did...
"Please, don't hurt him! I- I will go with you" she said and gave Aalan a look of assurance, after all she didn't do anything wrong. She was so sure that she would return back safe and sound, she worried more on one thing, her mother!
Will that Maslow released Aalan's neck and he held it, pain filled his eyes, his throat was about to be opened and he felt the strength of Maslow, he was no normal. He gave Esther an apologetic look, he wished he was stronger he would have beaten all of them. The guards were still holding her arms and she struggled to be free, "I did nothing wrong to treat me like this! She yelled and the guards looked at Maslow. He waved them to leave her be, one last look at Aalan and he lead the way to the king. People kept looking at her as if she did something wrong and was going to be punished by the royal family, perhaps beheaded in public very soon? Her long hair covered her beautiful face as she walked with her head down. They reached the resting place of the king and she was left there all alone, standing at the entrance of the tent, she dared not enter without permission. Her heart was beating wild in her chest and her hands and knees shivered at the thought of who might be in the tent, was he going to eat her alive! But what did she do?
"Come in!
At that moment, her legs were glued to the ground and the shivering did not stop, it only worsened. She dragged herself to enter and she was shocked by the mesmerizing features of the creature seated in the tent with a wine glass in his hand, she had forgotten her manners and kept staring at him with parted lips. He smiled at her and she went lost, this must be the king, it surely was him. She had heard of his beauty since she was very young and thought it was all lies but...
"How rude of you to not acknowledge your king!" He spoke and the Sou of his voice made her want to run away, she bowed her head and greeted him. The king nodded and hummed softly, the goosebumps on her skin made him marvel, did he scare her? He wished he didn't. He stood on his feet and walk over to her, her scent filling his nostrils and he wanted more of her, she moved moved backwards making him frown.
"So..... your name is Esther, right?" He asked as if he didn't believe what his informants said a while ago and she stood still not knowing how the king knew her name, she and her mother were new in the land and the king knows her name? The king awaited for her answer. He just wanted to hear her voice, to smell the scent from her mouth.....her fresh breathe. She cleared her throat and sucked in air roughly, "yes, my king" just that, it was enough for him to grab her close to him and maybe steal a kiss from those trembling pink lips, but he stopped in his tracks when she took another step away from him and he growled in his chest. The more she runs the more he wants to chase her, he grabbed her by the waist and teleported them to the royal carriage, Esther was trying to catch her breath before she realized they were not in the tent anymore. She forced herself out of his embrace so that she could breathe and when he let her out, she staggered backwards, she had to hold her knees to be stable. Her head was spinning and she wanted to throw up, her feet gave away and she landed on the ground, she could hear faint voice calling her name...
Aalan finally found Esther's mother and he told her what had happened, if it wasn't for the fact that Aalan had the clawed Marks on his neck which were not healing as it was supposed to, the lady would have thought he was lying. "Am so sorry, I should have protected her" he said and shook his head, lady Alaina frowned even more and she made her way towards the royal family in the crowd. "I demand to see the king!" She roared and Maslow was quick to recognize her, she was Esther's mother. "You don't demand! You should seek.....who knows if the king might come you, coming in front of him" Maslow spat back at her ignoring her deadly glare. He was the king's right hand man, he kept quiet and looked at her lazily without saying a word to her, making her blood boil to the highest degree. She re-phrased her sentence,in a much appropriate way and Maslow smirked.
"Well the king himself had sent for you in the royal palace, lead the lady to the carriage! He ordered and lady Alaina was taken into the carriage off to the palace!
Esther opened her eyes and found herself in a totally different place, on a big bed and she tried to get up from the bed. A voice made her jolt on the bed and realized someone was seated on the couch, watching her every move and she blushed when she realized that her dress had come up to her milky thighs...was he watching her all this while? Her face was beet red with embarrassment and the king chuckled at her behavior. He looked at her as she pulled her dress down to her toes, a smile formed on his gracious face, he found her very amusing. Before he could speak again, Maslow entered after knocking, he glanced at the white haired girl on the big bed and then back to his master. The king had a frown on his face and Maslow smiled sheepishly and knelt down on one knee with the other bent with his right hand fisted on his chest and the other at his back, he reported to the king and Esther brightened up when she heard her mother's name. The man left the room and Esther stood up ready to leave, she took a couple of steps before the man seated seeth in anger, where was she going?
"Where the hell are you going!" He asked with anger filled through out his demeanor and tone. Was she pushing it? She shivered and sweat formed on her back and palms, "your majesty, I- I am going back home-" her words were stopped midair and she run to hide from the dangerous king. Around him was a strong and dark aura that she had never seen before, he glared at her....a smirk on his lips made him more scary and she didn't want to come anywhere near him. "You are not going anywhere!" Was the loud order to her and she trembled even more, what did she do to the royal family and that too the king?
With that he left the room and Esther felt cool air enter the room, warm water drove down her cheeks and she shivered not knowing what to do,she just wanted to be with her mother. The king entered the throne room and lady Alaina bowed to him and the king chuckled at the way the woman pretended to be afraid of him, he stood some steps away from the throne and he seemed to be in thought before he turned to look at the old lady. "You know that your daughter is safe here right? He said looking at her, she frowned and spoke out of pure anger. "Your majesty, I can't leave my child here, I will certainly not leave her here" she spoke firmly giving no space for anything, the king laughed out loud, making the room shake a little with the sound of it. He nodded at her courage, at least she didn't hide it that she didn't like him,"Esther is not going anywhere!" He also said firm and strong and the old lady gritted her teeth, she wanted to command the wind to throw him against the wall behind his throne, but she knew well that he was no normal vampire. He was different from the rest and she hated it that the gods mated him to her only daughter, yes! They were mated by the gods that was why the king couldn't take his eyes off her. "I will take my child far away from here, she would be protected from creatures like you!" She spat at him, but the king was surprisingly calm.
" So you knew, you knew she was mine? Yet you didn't even look for me? He asked mockingly and she growled at him, she wanted to kill him right there. Who in the sane mind would happily give their child out to a vampire? The king couldn't stop laughing, "you stole my bride from me, woman! And yet you're thinking of stealing her again? Take her if you can, she's now here in my palace where she belongs" he said and smirked at the woman. He knew the woman was strong, there was a strange power surrounding her.... like it's protecting her.
The wiseperson spoke of a woman and not a human, but Esther was pure human or? A commotion drew them from their chat. King Oasis smelt her, his mate and she was very close, as if he knew that the lady was up to, he teleported straight to Esther before lady Alaina got there, both ladies with widened eyes looked at each other. Esther didn't know what to say, her mother appeared from no where and the king was right in between them. She was relieved though but that didn't last as the king turned to look at her with a frown on his glorious face, she got out of the room trying to run but she got caught by the maid and she made a big fuss out of it. She called her a thief who had broken into the palace, she was no thief! The king brought her there. The once talker maid looked like her tongue was pulled out and she bowed so low that her face touched the marbled floor, she feared for her life. The king had not even glanced at her at the moment but then he turned to glare hard at her that she jumped from where she laid, "so.... where were we?"
He shook his head at the thought of his first encounter with his beloved wife, queen Esther. He so above her but he had done everything to keep her with him, her pale green eyes now looked at him with all the love in it for him. He got what he wanted, but other creatures were plotting against him, they wanted the throne of Devlot. His mate was not conceiving and that made him marry another, he could see the pain in her eyes when ever she saw the other queen with her son. She wanted to have a child too, but the gods didn't work in her favor anymore and she had to give up the title of being head queen because she had no children for the king. It hurt the king that the woman he loves has to take a normal title, there was a possibility that even if she should have children they will have to wait for their turn to rule the land. Queen Helena have the king a healthy vampire baby boy, everywhere was filled with merriment of the good news. Queen Esther sat in her room and stared out her window, when was it going to be her turn...
