Prince Austin was growing up just like a vampire that he's to be, curly black hair growing pass his forehead and his sharp features just like his father the king.
He was trained well, queen Helena made sure to get well trained tutors to train her son, she made Austin aware that he was the prince of the king of the whole of Devlot and was fit to be king. He alone was to be king, no one else was to stand in his way, his mother made become brutal in his own way. As he grew up he became more strong, strict and more of a king to be. Queen Esther went through the worst you can think of, having a rival in your home, under the same roof with her?
' crazy!'
She has to swallow her pain and stay under the shadows. It was soon the day of remembrance of the past leaders in the land, ' kings first' it was celebrated every full moon within the year. Everyone was so eager, because it was there the town folks gets to see and spend time with the royals and all worthy people from Noble homes. Young girls can't wait for this day, even though more vampires would be around they still have to take their chances. This time around the king made it special because of his son, he was still hoping the woman he loves would give him a child, even if the gods gave them a girl or a sick child... he was just willing to. Queen Esther dressed elegantly as always that the king couldn't take his red eyes off her, his love, his mate.
"Queen Esther, looking good!" Queen Helena exclaimed as if she was so happy to see her rival. " You look good yourself, queen Helena" she said with a smile, she didn't want to make a scene over there. " But of course! I am great and beauty was my gift, you know? Even look at Austin, he's perfect! My son...my child" she said lovely with her hands cupped on her chest. The grin on her face only widened with the way Esther looked, she found it too difficult to accept that she had no child. She shook her head to stop the tear from falling from her eyes and just smiled at Helena, they were to meet the people in the land for the festive.
The streets danced with lights and people in their best clothes and jewels, shining and making the night a memorable one. As expected the people stood aside when they saw vampires, they didn't trust them one bit, these creatures didn't seem to care though, they moved freely on the streets.
In the corners of the crowd, creatures were lurking around. Esther was all smiles looking at the children dancing here and there and they seemed to like her, she tried to be happy for the first time in a decade after Helena came into her life eating up every thing that belonged to her rightfully. Just then a pack of wolves came out of nowhere into the crowd, Esther was still playing with the children when her senses told her trouble was near and she turned her head to see a vision.
The children she was with were all eaten alive, blood everywhere, screams everywhere and vampires found it hard to defend the land. Creatures with yellow eyes pounced on the people and bit them, the king was in a fierce battle with one who was riding the biggest of all. Helena killed a few with something emitting from her hands, powerful enough to throw the creatures far away from them. Prince Austin on the other hand was being attacked by many, he wasn't going to make it, his painful scream as his flesh was being fed on and his mother had a look of horror. One loud and vibrating scream was enough to stop the festive. The king held her in his arms as she shivered and sweat broke on her body, this started when the king mated and marked her.....she didn't turn full vampire but she acquired abilities much to the shocking of people.
"Its the visions again?" The king asked her and she looked up at him, her eyes said it all. " Yes! They are coming, so close- her voice broke at the flash of her visions again, she raised her head and her forest eyes took her far like an eagle. In the dark, the creatures with yellow eyes were coming, she could feel their rough breathe and their speed was like something she had never seen before. Her eyes widened and her mouth opened when reality hit her- "ruuuun!!!!" She screamed loud enough to get the people to run. The king pulled his sword and just then it slashed a creature, blood splattering every where and screams started to fill the whole town. Esther found herself being the cover for the children, they couldn't run to their parents or homes for shelter because they were busy enjoying them selves as children. They screamed and held on to the hem of Esther's dress stained with blood and dirt, one creature looked their way and they shivered and was coming at them with it's sharp teeths, saliva dripping from it angered mouth and it's eyes didn't blink, studying it's prey. Esther's eyes flickered with something dangerous and she looked at the creature in the eye, her beautiful face flashed showing someone else's face for a moment before the wolf calmed down and settled looking at the lady before it.
The wolf started to stretch out of its form, a groan escaping from it and Esther with the children looked like they are seeing more strange things. " Argh! My bones hurts" and Esther didn't know what to say, she covered the eyes of the children from the nakedness of the woman. "So..... you are the chosen one?" She said with a raised brow looking at Esther with her sharp yellowish eyes. Esther looked damp, what was she saying! Chosen for what? " This is what I hate! How come the chosen is here? In Devlot, the land I so want to destroy!" She spoke angrily and she hissed, shaking her head.
Esther still looked shocked and was out of words, the woman speaking was within her late thirties, yet she looked breathtakingly beautiful and sharp. The woman bent down and cupped Esther's face and looked into her deep green ones that flickered again making the woman much convinced that she was the chosen. She smiled lovely at them and took a couple of steps away from them, she called her wolves to retreat from the land with a loud sound. Just like that they all left as if they were never there back into the shadows, king Oasis didn't know what just happened and he just breathed, knowing everything was fine now and his subjects were safe he looked for his family.
Esther was now done taking all the children to their homes and she was blessed and loved by the people, they wished her good things in life that all her heart desires were granted. As she kept on walking trying to find her husband, the dark clouds started to clear up and the early morning sun had started to rise making the skies a sight to behold. Prince Austin was rushed back to the palace because of the rising sun, he was going to get burns and his mother followed close, the king had to make sure everyone was okay and he didn't have to worry about the sun because he was immune to it. He could walk in the sun and have no burns like other vampires, he was a high class demon....
He walked around with his guards and knights following closely, people were all supposed to be in their homes until further notice. The king didn't know if those creatures were truly gone, he didn't want anything to befall his people, they've had enough. A familiar scent hit his nostrils and he turned to see his white haired mate, walking about in the town and she looked lost and tired. "Esther!" He called and she turned around, she searched for the voice, he didn't call her out loud but she heard him from the distance she was in. Her round eyes darting from one place to another, and when her eyes finally landed on him she sighed and started walking to him. "Let's go home love" he said to her after giving her a hug, much genuine than some time ago when Helena entered their lives, she could smell his strong scent mixed with the scent of rain making her sniff him more, shocking not only the king but the guards as well.....they had no idea how much she missed him.
He helped her sit on his horse and he sat behind her, guiding the horse from the town square back to the palace.
