We arrived at the Hives club, immediately greeted by loud music and the pungent smell of weed. I couldn't be any happier; I've missed this so much. One thing seems to be bothering me though: what if Razor calls me here? I won't be able to answer, and then he might suspect something... I just hope he doesn't..
Next to me, Cross scanned the area, presumably searching for his girlfriend. "Why don't you go along? I'll be around," I suggested, but he shook his head.
"I can't let you out of my sight. What if something happens to you?" he retorted, pulling me away from a stumbling, clearly intoxicated man.
"I'm not a kid, Cross. I can take care of myself, and I've been training, remember? If you need anything, just call or text me. Now go, I'm sure your friend is waiting for you."
He hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Alright then, just be careful, please. The last time I was here, the damn Mafia attacked us."
