Immediately after leaving Cross's room, I rested my back against the door, rubbing my temples to release some stress. His painful screams filled the air, and I had the strongest urge to go back inside and relieve him. But I hesitated. He needed to learn the fucking hard way.
I had explicitly warned him not to see any girl behind my back, and he did it anyway, with a girl whose identity was a lie.
I had asked Dean to investigate her, only to find out Kira wasn't her real name because there weren't any records of her. The most shocking part being, she was the girl with that bastard Ian at the restaurant. I didn't want to tell Cross yet; I needed to be sure about her first because it seemed he had grown to like her a lot.
Drawing a deep breath, I started walking to the living room. Just then, Chris stepped inside, dropping to his knees.
"Boss, everything is ready now," he announced.
