Chapter 11 - CHAPTER 11: SMALL HOUSE

Narra finally inherited the house. The crab explained to her that the house also acts as a place for lost beings in other dimensions. The crab continued:

"Narra Bani Molave, the House of Magnolia is officially yours. Now, here are some things you need to know about the Chamber of Inheritance Treasures and the inheritance treasure, kid."

Narra's curiosity piqued, and she leaned forward.

"What exactly is the Chamber of Inheritance Treasures?" she asked.

The crab adjusted its position, looking thoughtful.

"The Chamber of Inheritance Treasures was created because of the powerful desires of souls in the universe. These desires were so strong that it prevented them from crossing over, creating a significant problem for the guardians of life and death. These guardians, responsible for guiding souls to the underworld for trial, found themselves unable to move the souls who had deep attachments to their world or strong wills to fulfill promises, seek revenge, or obtain justice."

Narra's eyes widened.

"So, these souls were just... stuck?"

"Precisely," the crab nodded.

"The room became full over time, yet the guardians couldn't persuade those souls to cross over. To address this, the guardians decided to find out what was holding each soul back. They asked the souls about their reasons, then went to the deities to relay these reasons and request permission to give the souls a chance to fulfill their desires without harming other entities and without leaving the room."

"And the deities agreed?" Narra asked, intrigued.

"Yes," the crab affirmed. "The deity of life gave them a branch from the world tree of life, and the deity of death provided them with a cube. These items are key to the Chamber of Inheritance Treasures, allowing the souls to fulfill their desires and, ultimately, move on."

The deities told the guardians the instructions.

"The cube will be the room for those souls with strong desires. You can monitor them through the cube while you continue your duties," said the deity of death.

"And the branch of the world tree of life will be their hope and their doors. The cube will have its own guardian inside, and it will find beings that could help those souls to crossover," the deity of life added.

"We thank the deities for their kindness and mercy," the guardians said in unison.

"And that's how this room was made," said the crab.

"Wow! That was amazing, the history of this Chamber. But now that I've finished the mission and received the inheritance treasure, what will happen to Astrantia? And how do I get out?" Narra asked with concern.

The crab, Carcinos, looked at her kindly.

"Astrantia has already resolved what was holding her back, but she decided to stay because she found a new purpose. She was blessed by the branch of life with a new chance at life alongside you, Narra Bani Molave. It's up to you if you want to keep her by your side, as Astrantia has vowed to serve you. To get out, hold the pendant and say 'out'. To come back inside, say 'in'. Once you're out, you'll have a small replica of the house you can carry with you. Just hold it in your hand and say 'in' to enter."

Narra nodded, processing the information.

"Okay, thank you, Mr. Crab—I mean, Carcinos."

Carcinos gave a small bow.

"Now, I'll go back inside the pendant. Rest assured that you won't be getting any new inheritance treasures soon, so enjoy your first one. Goodbye." With that, Carcinos vanished into the pendant.

Narra held the pendant tightly, feeling its warmth. She looked around the chamber, now understanding its purpose and the weight of her new responsibilities. "Astrantia," she called softly.

Astrantia appeared beside her, a serene expression on her face. "Yes, Narra?"

"What do you want to do, Narra? I will help you in any way and will try my best," Astrantia said enthusiastically.

Narra smiled, her eyes lighting up with excitement.

"I want to open a store—a store where beings from different dimensions or timelines can come together and enjoy themselves. Will you help me open up a store, Astrantia?"

"Of course! If you want a store that can be accessed by different beings from other dimensions or timelines, I can create a spell that will connect the door of the House of Magnolia to anywhere in the universe. I can also be your first employee, but I can't help you with the money to buy ingredients and products. I apologize, Narra," Astrantia replied.

"You don't have to worry about money because I already earned some from my first adventure," Narra said proudly.

"I would like to see if I can put the House of Magnolia artifact inside a book so I can bring it anywhere," Narra said thoughtfully.

Astrantia nodded.

"That's a brilliant idea, Narra. It will make it easier for you to manage everything. Do you need any help with that?"

"I think I can manage. I'll go out first, but I'll come back later. Bye, Astrantia," Narra said, holding the pendant and saying, "OUT."

Narra found herself back in her family's library. She immediately checked the time and date to see if time inside the chamber ran the same as in her world. Upon checking, she discovered that one day inside the chamber was just one hour on Earth. She noticed the small replica of the House of Magnolia on the floor, picked it up, and summoned the book.

"Book," Narra called out. The book emerged, glowing with a soft light and welcoming Narra with a gentle hum.

"Book, can I put in the inventory this artifact I'm holding?" Narra asked, holding up the small replica of the house.

The book's pages fluttered as if considering her request.

"Oh, I see. I understand. I hope that in the future, I will be able to talk to her inside the book," Narra said before closing the book.

Even though Narra couldn't directly talk to Astrantia inside the house absorbed in the book, she was happy to have gained a friend, a house, and a new adventure. She felt a sense of connection and purpose she hadn't experienced before.

Narra closed the book with a contented sigh and placed it gently on her desk.

"Even if I can't talk to her directly, knowing Astrantia is there gives me comfort," she thought.

"We have a lot to do together."

As she headed to her room, her mind buzzed with ideas. She grabbed a notebook and began jotting down plans for her store.

"A store that connects different dimensions... It needs to be inviting and magical," she murmured to herself.

"We'll need unique items, and I'll have to think about how to stock them."

She paused, tapping her pen against her chin.

"Astrantia said she could create a spell to connect the door of the House of Magnolia to anywhere in the universe. That would make it easier for beings from different dimensions to visit. I should ask her more about that spell."

With newfound determination, Narra continued to sketch out her ideas.

"I can use my earnings from my first adventure to buy the initial supplies. Maybe I'll start with something simple, like a café that serves exotic drinks and foods from various dimensions."

She imagined the store bustling with diverse beings, each bringing their unique stories and energy.

"This could be a place where everyone feels welcome and can find a piece of home, no matter where they come from."

Narra's heart swelled with excitement. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but with Astrantia's help and the magic of the House of Magnolia, anything seemed possible.

As she prepared for bed, she summoned the book and glanced at it one more time.

"Thank you, Astrantia. I promise to make our home a place of joy and connection for all who visit."

With that, Narra turned off the light and drifted into a restful sleep, dreaming of the adventures and friendships that awaited her.
