CHAPTER 12: LET'S PAINT
Narra called forth the book with a command,
"Book."
The book appeared, and she flipped through the pages until she found the one containing the House of Magnolia.
Without hesitation, she declared,
"IN," and entered the house.
Inside, she was greeted warmly by Astrantia.
"Astrantia, how have you been? Are you hungry?" Narra asked with genuine concern.
"Hello, Lady Narra," Astrantia replied.
"I've been well, I keep practicing my swordsmanship while waiting for you. I'm a bit hungry, but I'm used to it from my first life. I also have some good news—I can now materialize my body. This means people can see me when I'm working, but I can revert to my spirit form when we're alone."
Narra smiled.
"That's wonderful news! I brought us a lunchbox and some juices. I prepared everything in my father's kitchen. I hope you like it."
"Let me take that. I'll set it up in the dining room," Astrantia offered, taking the lunchbox and juices from Narra. They proceeded inside the house.
Astrantia arranged the dining room and set out the food.
"These look beautifully made, Ms. Narra. Thank you for your effort."
"Thank you, Astrantia. I made rolled omelets, borrowed some of my dad's chicken curry, and baked a cake. I also brought some delicious apple juice," Narra explained.
"This is the first time I've seen food like this, Ms. Narra. I can't wait to try it," Astrantia said excitedly. They both sat down at the table.
"Thank you for the food. Let's eat," Narra said.
Astrantia enjoyed the meal immensely, eating happily while Narra watched her with a smile. After they finished eating, Astrantia gave Narra a tour of the house, and they eventually settled in the study room.
"Astrantia, I already have a plan for what we should sell and do in our store," Narra said happily.
"That's great, Ms. Narra, but I'm afraid I can't use the spell to connect to other dimensions and places. I tried casting it, but it didn't work because I'm a tied spirit in the house. The spell will only work if I go to the place myself. I'm sorry, Ms. Narra," Astrantia said.
"That's a problem then. I don't know what to do now. What will happen to my plans?" Narra said sadly.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Narra. I wish I could still help you, but what if we asked Mr. Carcinos? Maybe he can help us," Astrantia suggested.
"That's a great idea. I'll summon him. Mr. Carcinos, I have something to ask of you," Narra called out, summoning Mr. Carcinos from the pendant.
"Kid, you don't have any missions, so why are you disturbing my rest? Do you want me to give you a mission you can never return from?" Mr. Carcinos said angrily.
"Hello, Mr. Carcinos. I'm sorry for bothering you, but I need your help. I want to open a store here in the House of Magnolia and sell to different dimensions and places, but Astrantia can't use the spell to connect them to the house. What should we do? Please help us," Narra explained.
"Kid, you woke me up for this?" Mr. Carcinos shouted angrily, pointing his claws at Narra before crawling back into the pendant.
"I'm sorry, okay? But I brought you something in exchange for your help," Narra said.
Mr. Carcinos emerged from the pendant.
"You don't have anything I would like," he said dismissively.
"Why don't you taste these omelet egg rolls and this apple juice?" Narra handed the food and drink to Mr. Carcinos.
"I'm telling you, kid, I won't like this, and you're just wasting our time," Mr. Carcinos said, annoyed.
"Just take a bite and sip, please. If you don't like it, I won't bother you anymore," Narra insisted.
Mr. Carcinos reluctantly took the omelet egg roll and apple juice. He took a bite, then immediately devoured the entire omelet and drank the apple juice. He continued to eat and finish the rest of the food and drink.
"Ehem, did you like it, Mr. Carcinos?" Narra asked, grinning.
"Ehem, it's good, kid. You got me. I will help you this time," Carcinos admitted.
"Thank you, Mr. Carcinos," Narra said happily.
"So, since you've inherited this house, you can connect it to the places you've visited. Astrantia can cast the spell directly on you, making you the link that opens the doors of the House of Magnolia to other places. Now that I've helped you, you better give me more of these," Mr. Carcinos said, pointing to the food.
"I will bring more when I return," Narra promised.
"Astrantia, could you please activate the spell and cast it directly on me? I'll be back in the evening with more food while I open the doors to Abutilon Town," Narra requested.
Astrantia cast the spell, and a huge orange circle appeared on the floor where Narra was standing.
A can of paint emerged from the spell with instructions attached.

SPACE LINK PAINT
COLOR: White
INSTRUCTION: Use the paint to draw the Space Link Spell and cast the spell after.

Narra picked up the can and the instructions, examining them closely.
"Astrantia, it says I need to draw the Space Link Spell with this paint and then cast the spell. Have you seen this type of spell before?"
Astrantia nodded.
"Yes, Ms. Narra. The Space Link Spell is a powerful and intricate spell that connects different dimensions and locations. It requires precise symbols to be drawn, usually in a specific pattern. Once drawn, you'll need to channel your energy into it to activate the link."
Narra looked at the instructions, which detailed the specific symbols and their placement.
"This looks complicated. Do you think I can manage it?"
"Don't worry, Ms. Narra," Astrantia reassured her.
"I will guide you through every step. We need to find a spacious area where you can draw the spell without any interruptions."
They moved to a large, empty room in the House of Magnolia. Narra placed the can of paint on the floor and unrolled a large piece of parchment that came with the instructions, which showed a detailed diagram of the Space Link Spell.
Narra dipped the brush into the paint and began drawing the outer circle carefully. The paint glowed faintly as she worked, leaving a shimmering trail behind.
Narra focused, her hand steady as she painted the symbols for north, south, east, and west. The symbols glowed brighter than the circle, indicating she was doing it correctly.
She meticulously painted each linking symbol, feeling a sense of energy building up within the room. As she completed the last symbol, the entire diagram pulsed with a soft, rhythmic light.
"It's working!" Narra exclaimed.
"Well done, Ms. Narra," Astrantia said, her voice filled with pride.
"The link is now active. You can now open doors to different dimensions and places by channeling your energy through every magic spell circle that you will draw to any place using the Space Link Paint"
Narra smiled, relieved and excited.
"Thank you, Astrantia. This is incredible. I can't wait to start using this to connect our store to different dimensions."
"Remember, Ms. Narra, the spell is tied to you now. Wherever you go, you can open a link to the House of Magnolia. But be cautious, as this kind of power comes with responsibility," Astrantia reminded her.
"I understand, and I will use it wisely," Narra promised.
"Now, let's get ready to open our first link to Abutilon Town." Narra added.
