"Again," Master Fu said patiently, guiding Wu Xie through the movements.
But try as he might, Wu Xie couldn't seem to get it right. His arms flailed, his legs tangled, and he ended up in a heap on the ground.
Master Fu sighed, a hint of exasperation creeping into his voice. "Let's try something else. How about we work on some basic punches?"
Once again, Master Fu demonstrated the proper technique, his movements fluid and precise. Wu Xie watched intently, trying to commit the motions to memory.
"Your turn," Master Fu said, stepping back to give Wu Xie some space.
Wu Xie took a deep breath, summoning all his focus and determination. He threw a punch, or at least attempted to. Instead of a powerful strike, his fist barely grazed the air in front of him.
Master Fu raised an eyebrow, a bemused expression crossing his face. "Perhaps we should start with something simpler," he suggested, trying to hide his amusement.
