The room was silent except for the rustling of pages and the occasional muttering from Wu Xie. Outside, the moon cast a silvery glow through the window, bathing the room in an ethereal light.
Hours passed, Wu Xie's eyelids grew heavy, his vision blurring as exhaustion threatened to overwhelm him once more.
Just as he was about to succumb to sleep, a sudden jolt of electricity shot through his body, jolting him awake with a yelp. "Wovi!" he exclaimed, shooting a glare at the mischievous creature.
But Wovi simply grinned, its tiny form buzzing with energy. "No sleeping on the job, Wu Xie," it teased, its voice echoing in Wu Xie's mind. "You've got a long night ahead of you if you want to make it to F rank."
With a sigh of resignation, Wu Xie settled back into his reading, the book becoming a blur of words as he pushed through the exhaustion. The night stretched on, each passing minute feeling like an eternity.
