The journey through Blackthorn Mountain was proving to be more arduous than Wuxie had anticipated.
As the morning mist thickened into an impenetrable fog, every step seemed to lead them deeper into an endless maze of twisted paths and shadowy undergrowth.
The ominous glow of the Paramecia Fruit that Wuxie had seen in his vision was nowhere to be found, and Wovi's incessant teasing was starting to wear on his nerves.
"Didn't you say you knew exactly where the Paramecia Fruit is?" Wovi flapped his wings, hovering just above Wuxie's shoulder. "Because it feels like we're just going in circles."
Wuxie shot him a sidelong glance. "Patience, Wovi. It's not like the fruit comes with a map."
"Oh, so now you're a comedian," Wovi retorted. "We've been wandering for hours. My wings are getting tired!"
Wuxie chuckled. "At least you don't have to walk. Imagine how I feel."
