After a long time drifting toward the Abyss Way... Which, I used all the time to better myself. I train properly, learn more fighting technique, train that technique, create more weaponry that is even stronger and better using the things I got.
Overall, I felt a lot more confident going toward Mother Nihility, not to mention... The distress signal that Gaidos picked up, it's one of the key that I feel like would lead me to a breakthrough. Both in my Body System and Ship System.
It has been a long time that I felt this excited.
And it was then, when I went out to the cockpit, I see a legion of black ships, of which most of them are destroyed similar to the Horizon's Grace... Bodies of Knights are floating around the the space and these scenes put some churning feeling in my stomach.
"Damn... The situation here is a lot worse, there's no sign of the Space Worm and there seems to be no survivor in here... Everything is wrecked, mercilessly..."
It's hard to fathom seeing such situation happening right now. I wouldn't think that a Legion of Ships from the Mother Nihility would be defeated this badly by a Space Worm. But then, knowing that the opponent is a King Space Worm, a mature one to boot... It's not going to end pretty no matter who its opponent are.
"Captain, I picked up a few vital signal going on. It seems like there's a few survivor that needed some saving as soon as possible!" Gaidos claimed.
Hearing Gaidos stated such things, I immediately park my ship on the wreckage of the main ship and leaves immediately. Since I already wore my Horizon Guardian... I can afford to leave the ship in an instant and connect the comms to Gaidos.
"Gaidos, guides me on who needs to be saved immediately." I stated, since I didn't know which one of them are still alive.
"Noted. I have send you all the personnel that I picked up the vital sign of. However, I also detected a powerful presence approaching. It seems like the Worm is going to came back soon." Gaidos warned me to be quick. Knowing that the worm is coming back to this place.
Immediately, I go toward the personnel that I knew are alive. Fortunately, there's few personnel that is close by so I managed to grab them immediately to the ship...
The two personnel that I grab back seems to be that of an important figures. Because their body suit is also merged with a battle armor. Their black armor combined with black sword that they hold, screams that they're a powerful person.
After all, the two of them are the only people that have these powerful of an armor and sword. The other people who wear armor and holding a weapon, doesn't have the quality of equipment like these two.
I put them to the Healing pod in the storage and then hide my ship on the remains of the ships around me.
"Gaidos, how long until the Worm came back?" I asked, wanting to know if going out to get their resources would be feasible. Since in front of me is a free upgrade to my ship.
"2 minutes before the worm come back. Going out at this period of time isn't feasible, Captain. I have analyzed why the Worm is fixated to this place. The Asteroid in front of us." Gaidos pointed out the magnificent Asteroid in front of us.
Naturally, my sight went to that asteroid and I can see why the worm would like to go here again. Since the asteroid in front of us is filled with so many raw materials of different kind. Making it valuable not only to humanity, but other being in this galaxy as well.
"That is the Stellargem vein. A very rare asteroid that is filled with the necessary materials to create a very high tier ships."
"Well, which do you think is more valuable, A Mature King Space Worm or the Stellargem Vein?" I asked. Because, depending on which is more valuable, is what I will be making my plan around.
"It's clear, Captain. The Mature King Space Worm is worth a lot more than the Stellargem Vein."
"Then, let's wait it out. I'll shot a tracking device to the Space Worm and that way we are able to keep an eye for its movement."
"Let's do that. I will give you a signal on when to shot the bullet. Aim the bullet at the soft part of the Space Worm body."
"Alright. I'll aim at the side of the Worm, if possible, I will aim for the outside of the eye so that it can easily latch itself and plant the tracker into the flesh."
Thanks to the technology that was provided to me by Damien, I am able to create a transplant chip shot that allows Gaidos to pick up its signal anywhere in the galaxy. Although it is expensive to make, because I know that I will be facing off against the Worm, I decided to invest into this technology.
"If I managed to get the Space Worm... It will pay me back more than what I pay to making this technology."
After I said that, the atmosphere shakes and that indicates the Space Worm has appeared.
Gaidos automatically takes control of the ship so that the ship Stealth System somehow doesn't get disrupted by the pressure of the Space Worm. While Gaidos does that, I went back to the storage and check on the two people that I picked up...
"... A Brother and Sister?" I muttered to myself. Looking at the two people that I picked up.
The Brother, seems to be a commanding figure with cool look. Black flowing hair and scars riddling his neck shows that he is someone who is as strong as he looks...
Then the Sister, short hair and looking quite tomboy, similar to her brother, she has a cool look around her and she looks a lot cleaner than the brother...
Judging from the situation, it is possible that the brother were scarred a lot more than the sister because she takes the hit more than her... Which is admirable...
I look at the Pod and it stated that they're going to gain consciousness in a week...
"That's quite a long time... Their condition is worse than I initially thought..." At first, I thought that they're fine and just losing their consciousness. But, the pod judges that their recovering time is longer than that, meaning they have quite a lot of injuries inside of them...
"Captain Noah. Please prepare your weapon. The Timing of your shot is coming in 1 minute." Gaidos informed of that and immediately, I grab my weapon that is still covered in cloth.
"Understood. Noah Aldridge, ready."
