"To tell the honest truth, I wish I didn't," she replied. 

Charm's eyes burned with fury for the callous and inhumane way the demon treated his bride.

"Why did you show me this…why are you being so kind to a total stranger?" she pondered out loud. 

The old woman's chest heaved with a heavy sigh, "because I wished someone had done the same for me when I was younger, warned me so that I could run and hide. Even a life on the run would have been far easier than the tribulations this devil put me through."

Such passionate fury in the younger woman's eyes burned hotter than coals.

For the despair she saw etched permanently on the old woman's face.

No one should have to live searching for death like they were in the barren desert seeking water.

Charm wished she could be the one to bring water to those parched lips but this was beyond her control.

Suddenly the demons and the others in the room seemed to vanish.
