Mikeal allowed her all the time she needed to train the recruited villagers without letting up on anything.
As she was too busy overseeing the training process, she no longer had the time to be by Mikeal's side at all times.
Anna argued, saying she could make it work but Mikeal knew better than to take her word for it. Eventually, he had to use his authority to subdue Anna into dedicating herself to her job as a drilling instructor.
In return for commanding her, Mikeal soothed her mind by proposing that he would be willing to take in two of her best-trained pupils to be his guard.
This was done so that she would focus on her duty and worry less about Mikeal. Unbeknownst to Mikeal, his proposal made the recruited go through torturous moments that felt like hell had been unleashed on them.
