Lila's ears perked up as she heard a faint buzzing sound around her. And it was immediately accompanied by a sudden feeling of being dragged. She felt as if she had been pulled back strangely, and her "oomph!" sound stuck in the seemingly infinite space around her as it echoed.
As her mood slowly shifted, Lila found herself standing in an unfamiliar dark corner. It was hard for her to tell if she was in a room, as the lack of walls made it difficult to compose her surroundings. Hef first thought was to call his friend Mia, but the echo of her voice only heightened her fears.
"Hello, is anyone there?" Lila tried again, her voice wavering slightly. She seemed alone, and she hesitated to move from spot for fear of discovering the unknown. Her heart pounding in her chest, she suddenly heard something or someone run behind her. Lila turned around quickly, but there was no one behind.
In a moment, she was pulled down again, this time by an unseen force. When she opened her eyes, she was met by a huge burst of light. "Where am I this time?" Lila murmured, rubbing her temple to make sense of her surroundings.
As her eyes adjusted to the light, she realized she was in a field and close to it was a small village, with quaint houses and people bustling about their daily activities. Lila gathered up the strength to approach a group of women at outside a house to ask for help.
"Excuse me ma'am please, can you tell me where I am?" She asked, her voice trembling with uncertainty. The women, who were engrossed in their gossip, paid no attention to her as if they could not see her.
"Idiot women" , Lila muttered to herself as she walked away.
Lila's steps echoed softly through the quite little village as she strolled past rows of very beautiful houses, each one seemed like it told a story of how many years it stood and is still standing . Amidst the cozy houses and beautiful gardens, there was one house that reached out to her with an irresistible pull, a faint energy drawing her closer.
As she paused in front of the house, a man emerged from the doorway, his white hair glowing like silver in the sunlight. She was surprised to see another person with white hair that wasn't her or her mom. His laughter rang out, filling the air with a sense of joy and warmth. Lila couldn't help but feel a strange connection to him, a feeling that sent shivers down her spine.
To her surprise, the man passed by her without acknowledging her presence, as if she were invisible to him. Confusion clouded her mind as she wondered why she was being ignored, a sense of unease creeping in. She watched him as he came back into the house holding firewoods. she brushed off the unsettling feeling and followed him inside before he could shut the door.
Stepping into the house, Lila found herself immersed in a world of beauty and magic. The interior was a vision of rustic elegance, with wooden planks crisscrossing the ceiling and a soft light emanating from a crackling fireplace. The walls were adorned with petals, vines and fairy lights, creating a whimsical atmosphere that felt like comfortable.
As she watched the man tend to the fire, the aroma of something delicious wafted through the air, teasing her senses with memories of home-cooked meals and comfort. It was a scent that felt both familiar and alluring, tugging at her heartstrings in a way she couldn't quite explain.
Suddenly, a woman appeared in the room, her presence gentle and ethereal. She was draped in a flowing dress that seemed to dance around her like a soft breeze, her eyes sparkling with a hint of happiness as she gazed at the man at the fireplace. Lila's heart skipped a beat as she whispered in disbelief, "Mom?"
Without waiting for a response, Lila rushed towards her, longing to embrace the woman who bore a striking resemblance to her mother. But as she reached out, her fingers passed through the figure like a whisper of mist, leaving her grasping at empty air.
Lila watched in silence as her mom set the food on the table, her mind racing with confusion and disbelief. "Mummy," she called out, but her voice seemed to dissolve into the air, unheard by those around her. As her mom settled into her seat, Lila's gaze fixated on the subtle protrusion on her stomach. Is she pregnant? Lila wondered, her heart pounding in her chest. It feels like I've been transported to the past or something, she mused silently to herself.
Her attention shifted as the man approached her mom, a tender smile adorning his face. He leaned in, planting a gentle kiss on her forehead, and then his hand tenderly caressed her bump. "My love," he murmured, his voice filled with adoration, "I can't wait to meet our little one. I wonder what gender our precious child will be." Lila's breath caught in her throat as she watched the scene unfold before her, tears welling up in her eyes. "Dad?" she whispered, though she knew they couldn't hear her. "He's...He's my dad?" she repeated to herself, her mind reeling with disbelief.
Her mom's laughter brought her back to the present moment, and she watched as her mom leaned into her husband's embrace. "It's a girl," her mom announced, her smile radiant with joy as she rested her head against her husband's shoulder.
But before Lila could comprehend the situation, the tranquility shattered. In an instant, the serene dining room transformed into a scene of chaos and despair. The air thickened with an ominous tension, and Lila's heart pounded in her ears.
Suddenly, her dad was on the floor, his body enveloped in a pool of crimson blood. Lila's mind struggled to process the horrific sight before her, her surroundings blurring into a nightmarish haze. The once familiar environment warped into a grotesque tableau of destruction and despair. The walls seemed to close in on her, suffocating her with their oppressive weight.
With a gut-wrenching scream, Lila collapsed to her knees, her entire being consumed by a whirlwind of terror and confusion. She reached out desperately, grasping at the fragments of what was once a reality slipping through her fingers. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't escape the nightmarish nightmare that had engulfed her. Lost in a sea of darkness, Lila could only cling to the faint hope that she would find her way back to the world she once knew.
