He truly didn't have much to do, but then again, calling for and forcing a National-Level Hunter to attend an unscheduled meeting was no different from attacking the government the Hunter was affiliated with.
"Thank you for your time. My name is Norma Selner," the woman began.
"The Upgrader?" Steve asked, interrupting her.
"You know about me?"
"The question should be, which Hunter with enough resources doesn't know you?" Steve replied honestly.
He may not know much about the lady before him, but he knew her powers. She was his plan B should the [Soul Heart] project fail.
However, that wasn't all. Last he checked, she worked for the American government, which meant they had a hand in her presence here.
Even though it was relatively easy for anyone to find out about her, she was still a protected secret of the government.
Looking at her, though, Steve could see why. A soul so bright it shone with half the intensity of a Monarch's.
"Then you must know that I am Clairvoyant," Norma Selner said as she sat upright in her seat.
"Clairvoyant? You see the future?" Steve asked, surprised.
During his philandering months, he had read up and learned a lot about hunters and their powers, but very few, if any, hunters had clairvoyant powers.
It made sense that one should exist, but he had yet to meet one until now.
"I have been, so far, but ever since your fight on Jeju Island, it has all become a mess."
"That makes sense. I am the greatest variable of all time," Steve replied nonchalantly.
Whether she understood the meaning behind that statement was entirely up to her. Even if she did understand it, she could still do nothing with that information.
"Yes, however, that isn't why I am here," she said as she immediately began rummaging through her bag. She soon produced a file, which she passed to Steve.
"A few days ago, the National-Level Hunter Christopher Reed was found dead in his home."
"Let me guess, you warned him?"
"Yes."
"…And I'm next," Steve replied as he began chuckling.
He didn't even know whether to laugh or cry at the thought of someone being capable of killing him.
However, even he understood that no power capable of dealing damage and killing a National-Level Hunter this easily was human.
Meanwhile, beside him, Judy and Legia could be seen upright and focused as they observed the lady before them.
Steve noticed this but did nothing. This was their instincts at work. He wasn't so stupid as to design them with just a new body that could host their powers completely.
He had added a few conditions that would protect him.
"Relax, it's not a threat, just a warning," Steve said, knowing that Legia was about to make a move.
"Don't mind them, but in your vision, how did I go?" Steve asked.
"All I saw was a bright light swallowing you. I have no idea if this is a good thing or a bad thing as of yet, but I believe it is my duty to warn you."
