Standing closer, Steve realized just how much bigger Legia was compared to him. He was an Awakened being and stood at the top of humanity.
He was almost 7'6" in height.
However, Legia's head alone overshadowed him. The giants were already massive enough, but Legia was quite literally built different.
He truly was the king of Giants.
"The one thing that may prove difficult in killing you would be your divinities. However, that can be worked around," Steve said as he waved his hand.
Immediately after, a large number of corpses appeared. They were all giants he had killed, but surprisingly, their bodies were all intact, almost as though he hadn't fought them at all.
"What do you want?" Legia asked, sensing the distasteful nature of the atmosphere.
"I am a businessman, Legia. I lose more if I kill all of your people," Steve said before turning to the corpses.
Unlike before, when he needed to be in physical contact with the material to manipulate it, all he needed now was to have it within his field of view.
Even that was only because he had yet to test if he could do it with only the acknowledgment of the object's existence.
Infusing a bit of his power, Legia saw the flesh melt off from the corpses as the remaining skeletons began to merge and fuse until only one skeleton remained.
Before his eyes, the oversized skeleton—which he estimated was taller than even he, the king of Giants—began to shrink.
He didn't question this one bit, as the man before him seemed to have inherited the powers of the Administrator.
However, he sensed a faint form of divinity from the skeleton, which raised a doubt within him.
"What are you doing?" Legia asked.
"Creating your replacement," Steve replied, before letting the massive ball of flesh fall on the small skeleton.
Rather than crush the tiny skeleton, Legia saw the ball of flesh melt off as it immediately began to merge with the skeleton, creating a whole new body.
Legia's mind immediately became restless as the weak divinity within the skeleton became even more pronounced.
The Administrator shouldn't have such power; in fact, no one apart from the Absolute Being had such power.
So it made no sense that this man could give divinity to a mortal being.
"Two down, four more to go," Steve said before waving his hand, and Legia's head came flying off.
Soon after, he felt a massive amount of soul energy flooding into his body. It was completely different from anything he had experienced before.
However, he focused on the task at hand and quickly used his power to capture the important parts of the giant's soul.
The soul was a mysterious entity, and for those of a higher realm, it contained more than just their essence. It contained their divinity.
For a monarch like Legia, as long as fear existed, he would eventually come back. It was an inevitable situation.
So, like he had done with Baran, he transferred the parts of the soul containing the divinity while reinforcing them with the extra soul energy that he didn't absorb.
He manipulated and rewrote the soul to provide it with a set of new rules that were different from those it was usually governed by.
