Chapter 127 - Legia, Monarch of Demons and Terror

As far as he knew, this place looked too well-kept to be a monster's den. The paint was nice and clean, and the structure was sound and grand.

No matter how he looked at the situation, Steve felt like this was a trap. However, he continued walking nonetheless; he didn't believe that anything in here could pose much of a threat to his current self.

"Guess I was wrong," Steve said when he felt a massive source of mana.

Before, he had been just walking around aimlessly, but things were different now. He immediately took off running towards the source of the mana.

Several minutes later, he found himself within what looked like a throne room. Just like the rest of the castle, it was supersized and incredibly huge.

Compared to the throne in the room, he looked no different from an ant—or, to be more accurate, he was like a cat compared to Shaq, the former basketball player.

However, he wasn't interested in the throne; instead, he kept staring at what was in front of it. It was a massive creature, a giant like the rest he had fought against so far, but this one was much bigger, and the mana he felt from it was special.

"It seems the Administrator is dead, isn't he?" the giant asked.

"And you are a Monarch, aren't you?" Steve replied.

Both questions didn't need an answer since both parties already knew what the answer was, but for some reason, it lessened the tension in the room.

"Then you must be Legia, Monarch of Demons and Terror," Steve began, as the giant simply nodded.

It couldn't do anything else; it was chained and seemingly sealed in its position. Just a few meters before the throne, the giant king was chained to the walls by massive chains.

Underneath him was a massive magic circle that Steve determined to be a sealing circle. However, despite how overkill the circle was along with the chains, Steve could still feel the mana dwelling beneath.

Above all, there was his domain over terror. It took great mental fortitude to look at Legia.

The giant wasn't ugly or grotesque; however, its domain ensured that all who gazed upon him would be tested.

Steve was sure that if not for his recent ascension, he would have definitely gone mad.

"You embody the 'terror' part of the title, but apart from your giants, I am not seeing any demons," Steve continued.

"And you do not seem like the Administrator, even if you bear his mantle," Legia said.

"I'll take that both as a compliment and an insult," Steve replied.

With the Architect's limited imagination and lack of scrutiny when creating, Steve didn't want to be referenced in any way in the same sentence.

However, from the memories he gained, he found himself a bit limited compared to the Architect.

The bastard had the ability to imbue life into anything he created. Steve had noticed it with that 'God' statue.

To be more accurate, the Architect was able to create souls, but Steve was completely unable to do so, no matter how much he tried.

He could create one if provided with the materials, but he couldn't create it from scratch as the Administrator could.
