Chapter 15 - The Mage Guild

The next step to my plan is to recruit a king who can use magic, I couldn't use magic so having someone who can shoot the elements would be a huge advantage in fighting monsters.

Christine, Geunmeo and I saw a light in the tunnel, it seemed to grow bigger with each passing second until a fireball brushed past us at extreme speeds. We began to look for the source of this fireball and we soon found it, a scrawny teenager with a wooden staff had shot the ball, he began to ready another one but Geunmeo punched him before he could.

The kid went flying back and died after hitting the ground, I suppose he min-maxed his magic power stat and neglected his constitution. We went to the station we believed the kid came from and then we got intercepted.

A small group of 5 stopped us while we were approaching the station, they all put out their hands and shot fireballs. Christine shifted into a snake to avoid the fireball, Geunmeo punched it, and I sliced it in half.

We all then attacked the people at the same time and knocked them out, I looked to Christine, "Can you turn into anything other than a snake?" She looked at me and sighed, "My shape-shift skill is only level one, so I can only turn into one animal, and I chose a snake."

It makes sense now, no wonder she never turns into anything else. Our conversation is quickly interrupted by a man who shot a plethora of different spells, a fireball, a waterball, a wind blade, and an electric bolt. I quickly dodged out of the way and I knew that this was the guy I wanted on my team.

He looks at us and yells, "We are the Mage Guild, we strive to show the world our magical prowess and I've been chosen to lead these men in our ambition." I realized this guy probably is an RPG fanatic, he then charged at us and stopped right in front of us.

"Need my qualifications? Here they are!" He pulled up his stat screen and showed us his title.

"Now you know that i'm fit to be a leader, let's fight!" He turned around to run back to where he started but I stopped him. I punched him into the ground and his face hit the floor. He thankfully didn't die because he had the knowledge to distribute his stats.

I picked him up and said, "No fight required, you're mine now." He looked over at me with a swollen face and nodded. I dropped him and this time he passed out.
