Under the crimson canopy of Hell's reserved park, Tucker had prepared a modest picnic on the lush grass.
At the beginning of the day Valentina was supposed to come with him, unfortunately, she caught a bad case of Laziness and had to stay in.
"I don't know if you're too busy right now, but I have a picnic and I would love for you to join me so we could continue this conversation, but if it's inconvenient I also understand."
"It's not inconvenient at all dear, I planned to spend most of the day here anyway, so being in good company will only make it better." She accepted, mentioning she had come to the park on a whim, but was glad she did.
As they settled down on the blanket, Tucker unpacked the basket, revealing an assortment of foods, including a pineapple pizza, which he explained was packed by a friend.
Lilith's eyes lit up at the sight. "Pineapple pizza? I didn't expect to find another fan of such a controversial choice."
Tucker chuckled. "It seems we both have a taste for the unusual. I can't take credit though, it was Valentina's doing."
"Well, you're friend has some good taste." Lilith complimented as the two dug into the meal, since he was in the presence of a noble Tucker minded his manners, not to eat too fast.
But Lilith just smiled."No need to be so accommodating dear, you can relax." Hearing this Tucker was surprised she could read his thoughts so easily.
But if Valentina was there she would have scoffed, Tucker was really bad at hiding his emotions a lot of the time, that is unless he had his mask on.
In any case, the two sat under the Maple leaves and continued their conversation, Tucker even played some more songs for her as she hummed to them.
.....
Just like that many hours flew by as they delved into more conversation.
Tucker shared some tales of his journey through Hell, each story more exciting than the last.
Lilith listened intently, her laughter echoing through the park. "You've had quite the adventure," she said, her voice tinged with amusement. "Where do you think you're going to go next? It's obvious your the free-spirited type, always going where the wind takes you..."
"Yes, your right, I will be leaving Gloutvile soon...to where specifically, I was thinking Pentagram City" Tucker replied, his tone light.
Hearing this Lilith had no outward reaction, but inside she felt a pang of guilt, remembering her daughter.
"I want to experience something new, sometimes bizarre, sometimes terrifying, but something always interesting...I've been...couped up for a long time, and I think, that wasn't quite the right solution to my ultimate goal...no dream."
Lilith looked at him with intrigue." And what dream would that be, dear." She asked as Tucker reminded her of someone.
A certain man, they were complete opposites personality-wise...but looking at him, he reminded her of her husband.
"He!" Tucker let out a small chuckle before placing a finger on his snout-" I think I'll keep that a secret...for now."
"...I see, I never took you for a tease...but I guess that just adds to your mystery."
Afterwards, the two continued to talk before, even Lilith got more comfortable with sharing, though not everything or in detail...it was enough to know she too was searching for answers.
Lilith shared her own experiences, though she remained vague about her identity.
She spoke of her life, her struggles with her family, and the complexities."It's not easy," she admitted. "Especially when expectations weigh heavily on you. Being a mother and a wife in Hell comes with its own set of challenges."
Tucker nodded, understandingly. "Every role we play comes with its burdens. But it's how we carry them that defines us. Your family is lucky to have you."
"Fufu~If I didn't know any better I would think you were trying to flirt with me dear..." Lilith teased appreciating the compliment.
...
As the day turned to evening, even though they wanted to continue their chat, it was really getting late. Lilith asked if Tucker had a phone and he nodded, taking it out for her.
Upon receiving his new Hell phone, she entered her number. "I've enjoyed our time today. It's been a relief to talk to someone..."
"I feel the same," Tucker said, genuinely. "It's refreshing to have a conversation that's just... simple and real."
Before parting, Lilith stood up, stretching her arms towards the darkening sky. "Today has been a wonderful escape from my usual routine. Thank you, dear. I hope we can do this again."
Tucker stood as well, "Definitely. It's not every day you find a friend in Hell who appreciates pineapple on pizza."
They shared a final laugh, the sound mingling with the evening breeze.
As Lilith disappeared in a swirl of leaves, Tucker was left with a sense of contentment.
In the midst of Hell's unpredictability, he had found an unexpected friendship, it just cemented to himself that it really was the right decision to venture out.
Looking at his phone screen, more specifically, the phone app..he now had three contacts.
Valentina, her name was saved with the brackets "Bestie and a kiss". Tom, Valentina's manager and now Lilith with an emoji of a pineapple...wait...Lilith?? Not Lilit...this must have been her real name.
.....
After his day with Lilith, Tucker headed back to Gloutvile City, it was already dark outside and Valentina must have been wondering why he wasn't back yet.
So he texted her that he would be back soon, and soon after she sent a GIF back of a giant Mexican licking his fingers with some words underneath saying, 'I'll see you soon'
Tucker didn't understand this GIF thing but Valentina promised to show him one of these days.
.....
After finishing his text he plopped his phone back into his pocket, and headed straight to Gloutvile City.
His supernatural speed allowed him to cover a hundred miles in less than twenty minutes – he could have gotten there faster but he just wanted to appreciate the scenery.
.....
Entering the bustling city, he seamlessly blended into the throng of demons and sinners that crowded its streets.
As he navigated the sidewalks, a commotion caught his attention. An imp demon stumbled, tripping towards the busy, oncoming traffic.
Reacting instinctively, Tucker extended his tail, snatching the imp from the jaws of disaster. The imp, shocked and bewildered, looked up at his saviour. "Wha- Thank you!" he stammered but Tucker had quickly vanished into the crowd.
Continuing his walk, Tucker ventured into a network of alleyways when suddenly—"Crash!!!
A body was hurled across his path, landing with a thud. He looked up to see a couple of mean-looking bouncers laughing and sauntering back into a club.
Tucker approached the fallen figure, extending a hand. "You alright there?"
The demon, a scrappy-looking incubus demon with a half-covered Woden mask, groaned as he sat up. "Yeah, thanks, buddy. Damn bouncers don't know how to treat paying customers."
Tucker raised an eyebrow. "Paying, or cheating?"
Armyn flashed a mischievous grin. "A bit of both, if I'm being honest. Name's Armyn, by the way."[Pic]
Tucker helped him to his feet. "I'm Tucker. Maybe you should steer clear of that place."
Armyn scoffed. "And miss out on the best bloody gambling spot in Gloutvile? No way. Actually, you seem like a lucky guy. Why don't you come with me? I could use a bit of that luck."
"No thank you, it's already late and...." but he interrupted Tucker mid-sentence.
"Booooooring, fuck man you gotta live a little, times passing you by, what's wrong with having a bit of fun."
The demon chastised, already guessing Tucker to be the strict but gullible type of demon.
"..."
Despite his better judgment, Tucker found himself intrigued by the demon's proposal. "Alright, Armyn. Lead the way."
"Fuck yeah, bro I got the best fucking spot, trust me on this.." As he said that he led Tucker to a club that had 666 at the front.
They easily got through when Armyn slipped two hundred soul bills in the bouncer's pocket.
The club was loud, filled with the loud techno music, Std's and casual chatter.
Armyn led Tucker to a gambling table, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Watch and learn, my friend."
"Frankie!!! Long time no see, how have ya been, I heard you were back in town." Armyn said clearly knowing who these demons were.
"Is that a talking fucking ashole I see... oh no!! it's just Armyn, what's a cocktail sucker like you doing here."
"Haha, very funny Frankie, and what do you mean what am I doing here, I'm here to win of course, come on man deal me in." Frankie looked at Armyn and snapped his fingers, one of the demons stood up letting Armyn take his place.
....
Tucker not being interested in the game made his way to the bar where he ordered two shots, he much preferred his own blend but tasting something different wasn't bad from time to time.
As he waited for his drinks two sexy female demons, approached him.
"Hey there big guy, what's a dark sexy thing like you doing in a shitty club like this." The cat-like demon asked, her throat letting out a hypnotic pur.
"I've never seen you here before, are you perhaps new to the city." The other demon, was a normal-looking demon, except of course the red skin and horns.[Pic]
"..."
Seeing the two sexy and obviously horny demons strike up a conversation with him, he honestly didn't know what to say.
He then remembered, Valentina scrolling through her computer a month ago when she saw an advertisement for a "Bitch Be Gone" Spray, guaranteed to make a hoe flee in 20 seconds or less.
And he remembered that she had actually bought it...and that he had it on him.
Sh-should he use it now?
