Cora was confused when Amal entered their tent with a nice garment. He also looked like he was dressed for war.
"Dress up, my guards will come for you later." He simply said but before he could get out, Cora held his arm. He turned to look at her. "Please, I beg you, don't kill my father, please. He's all I have." Cora literally begged him.
Amal said,"Cora, after knowing this truth of yours, I will make sure that you will be alone after today."
Cora teared up,"please, Sultan. My father is innocent. He has not done anything to you. Why do you want to be greedy? You have every empire under you so why can't you leave this one alone? Please, stop this war. Babies, fathers, sons, daughters, sisters, families will be destroyed and it will be all your fault. I beg you, Sultan. I promise that if my father dies, I will also kill myself." Cora ranted in tears.
Why did the thought of her dying bother him?
"Cora, get dressed." Amal simply said and walked out.
Cora felt defeated. It was as if she had wasted her advice on a sculpture piece.
The armies and their leaders from the two empires, met at the battle ground. Cora was brought forward.
Amal looked at her then at Augustus.
"Augustus, you never told me that you had such a beautiful daughter. Cora is so sweet and gorgeous. I would love to make her my mistress." Cora flinched and looked at Amal.
Cora looked at Henry but he only scowled at her. "Cora, tell them the conditions before we begin." Amal urged. Cora gulped and shouted,"If Sultan wins, the Princess will have to be his mistress for the rest of her life but if Emperor Augustus wins, Sultan will have to release the princess from captivity and also give a part of his Empire to Emperor Augustus."
Emperor Augustus was filled with so much rage. He made the mistake of attacking first. A guard took Cora back to camp but Humera their path and asked the guard to leave.
"I am the head of the mujahideen's woman. You wouldn't dare to defy me." The guard bowed and walked away. "Come, Cora." The two women hid and watched the warriors from where they were.
Cora was scared for her father's life. For some reason, she trusted Amal that he wouldn't kill her father. From where she was hiding, she could see everything.
Amal avoided fighting with Augustus. All of a sudden, Henry blocked Augustus with his sword. Cora frowned. What was he doing? She understood what was happening when Henry cut her father's arm. Tears filled her eyes. Amal saw what Henry did.
He was about to go save Augustus when another soldier blocked him. He fought the soldier and rushed to Augustus' rescue but it was already too late. Henry had slit the man's throat.
Amal punched Henry and kneeled before Augustus. "Emperor, stay alive. I will save you myself. Hang on." He said breathlessly. Augustus shook his head and coughed out blood. "If you still have something beating in your chest, please my very last request is that you protect my little girl."
"I will, Cora is mine. I will protect her. Speak no more and go to sleep. Let me take over for you." Amal said and stood up angrily. Cora tearfully left Humera behind as she stormed onto the field with vengeance in her heart.
She picked up a sword while storming towards Henry. Dead bodies were scattered everywhere. Clouds of dust filled the air, clouding their sight. The stench of blood and sweat caused them to scrunch up their faces.
Henry was still fighting Amal when Cora joined Amal. "You, snake! I can't believe myself for loving you!" Cora cried as she made a deep cut on Henry's chest.
Amal recovered from his shock and focused on protecting Cora by killing the soldiers around her.
Henry pushed Cora and elbowed her in the stomach. Amal was raging mad. He held Henry's arm and twisted it. Henry's face contorted in pain while let go of the sword. Cora took that as opportunity to life her sword and behead Henry.
Time seemed to have stopped as Cora and Amal watched Henry's head and body fall.
Cora broke down in tears. "Papa!" She wailed while she held her father's dead body in her arms.
Amal's soldiers had left the grounds in jubilation but some still lingered about waiting for their Sultan. Cora wiped her tears, stood up and slapped Amal hard. "It's all your fault!" When the soldiers attempted to approach the princess, Amal stopped them.
"Why did you stop them? Let them kill me too!" She cried. Sniffling, she took her sword and tried to slit her throat but Amal took it from her, threw it aside and dragged her from the grounds. She was being too stubborn.
All of a sudden, Cora found her vision upside down. She was seeing the back of Amal's long legs. She raised herself a bit, only to find the soldiers snickering at each other.
Amal had thrown her over his shoulder. "Hey, put me down or else I will bite you." She threatened. Amal chuckled and replied,"you wouldn't dare." Cora huffed in defeat and allowed herself to be taken away by the evil Sultan. Humera quietly followed them.
Cora thought to herself, "so were her people Amal's slaves now?" Tears filled her eyes at that thought.
The once peaceful empire had been ruined by none other than Mudhin Amal, the ruthless evil Sultan.
