Alex raised his hands to the sky as he called out, "Ice Summoning, Cloud Gathering."
Suddenly, he gathered water from the clouds and turned it into ice, hurling it on the area around them, causing a large destruction of the surrounding buildings and the roads.
Hunter looked around him with a surprised look on his face. "That's not very smart." He said this as he threw a large wave of lightning at him.
Alex blocked the attack with his arms and then used the momentum of the blow to spin around him and throw him into another building. He jumped into the air using his firepower and landed on top of the building with a loud thud. He looked around him as he noticed the damage he had caused with his powers.
"Now it's my turn." Hunter said as his body began to sparkle with electricity.
"What's that going to do?"
Alex's heart left his body as Hunter punched his way through him in an instant.
"You fought well, but eventually you had to go. No hard feelings."
Alex fell from the top of the building as Hunter watched from above.

Hunter's hair moved around as he walked outside of the building where the fight between him and Alex happened.
His clothes were torn apart, and blood stained the ground underneath him. His skin was burned by the flames he had used during their fight.
He took a deep breath as he regenerated Lux's body immediately.
After doing this several times, he finally regained his physical appearance as he stood there, looking at the remains of the city around him.
There were no survivors anywhere he passed by.
The only sounds heard were screams echoing inside the walls of the buildings.
He looked at the sky and saw dark clouds approaching the land. The winds began to pick up speed, and soon everything was covered in darkness.
His hair turned black again as Lux came back.

A few hours later, the sun started shining through the skies, giving the illusion of a new day.
For Lux, however, this sunlight came through bars.
He immediately stood up as he realized where he was.
A prison. A cell.
He quickly ran around the room, trying to find any sign of a window or door. He tried to break down the wall, but it was made of solid concrete. There were no windows anywhere apart from the little one in which sunlight slipped in.
He sat down in frustration, unable to think clearly. He just wanted to escape from this place.
"This is your punishment for what you did," a voice said from behind the doors.
Lux turned around slowly. "Who are you?"
The doors opened as the man who appeared before him wore an outfit Lux had seen more than once.
An officer's uniform. Now he was sure he was in a police station.
The officer looked at the barrier between them and crossed his hands. "You'll soon be transferred somewhere else because I doubt this prison will hold you for a long time given your abilities."
"What abilities?"
"Don't act like you don't know. We have witnesses—a whole lot of them."
"I don't know what you're talking about." Lux said.
"Just admit it already." The officer said as he sighed, "We both know that if you didn't kill those people, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. You killed a lot of civilians last night."
Lux shook his head. "No, that was all Alex Michigan."
The officer smiled. "So you say? Well, whatever you want to believe. You'll still pay for what you've done, regardless. This world is dying and needs heroes; otherwise, there won't be anything left of it. And you're definitely not a hero."

Later that evening, Lux sat alone on a chair in his cell. It felt weird being in a cell, even though it was small compared to some places he'd been. But the feeling of confinement wasn't pleasant at all. He could feel something was wrong with him, and he couldn't understand why.
The cell was bare except for a bed and a small table with two chairs.
Lux sat there, thinking. Thinking about what he would do next.
And also...
About what he should do.
As he thought, he glanced at the bars of his cell and remembered what happened earlier.
He hadn't killed anyone.
"Oh yes, you did." A voice called out as Lux tried to look around him for the source of the voice.
"Who's that?"
Lux asked as a figure suddenly tapped his shoulders from behind him.
It was Hunter.
His eyes glowed blue as he stared straight into Lux's own.
"Who the hell are you?" Lux asked as he grabbed Hunter's shoulders and slammed him against the wall.
Hunter grunted as Lux pressed his forehead against Hunter's. "Who are you?!"
Hunter pushed Lux off him and then pulled away. "Why do you keep asking me these questions!? Why can't you see who I am?"
"You're nothing!" Lux shouted back as he backed himself against the wall.
"That's not true." Hunter said calmly.
"Then what is it?"
"You're not really who you think you are, Lux." Hunter said, staring directly into Lux's eyes.
"How do you know my name!?" Lux demanded angrily.
"Because I'm you." Hunter replied as Lux growled, "I knew you'd choose to play the role of a hero someday. I'm a split personality of yours, but we're not like this. Not like this at all. We're so much more powerful than this."
"Split Personality...How?"
"It all started 6 years ago."

Dr. Rut looked at his papers as he motioned for the television before facing Mr. Jackson and Dr. Grant.
"The experiment is ready to begin; all we need is a volunteer."
Dr. Jackson spoke up. "I have contacts. I can get one of them to volunteer for the experiment. But I want to bring one of my students along."
"What if it fails?" Dr. Grant spoke up.
Dr Rut adjusted his glasses as he flipped through the papers "It won't."
