Chapter 25 - Chapter 25. Individual Methods

The name didn't ring a bell at all and that could be a good thing, if you are not part of the more famous ones, you might be clean of sin or at least towards us.

As such I decided to give them a hand.

 - Kill at your leisure, on two conditions, I want no wounded and don't kill any of the caravan, at most let them die for their stupidity, in their fight against the beasts. We are not angels of goodness, we will not risk ourselves for anyone who is not one of our own - They all nodded and jumped into the fight, it was a good opportunity to get used to hunting beasts.

I started walking towards the caravan, to be more precise, towards the old man.

The caravan consisted of a variety of species, but most of them were yellow-haired monkeys, not much special, but very intelligent and with certain skills, they are born traders and valuers. The old man was also of this breed.

Then the guards consisted of various races, lizard men, kobolds and 5 very special soldiers, minotaurs.

A race specialised in war and blacksmithing, besides it is not easy to fulfil all the conditions that lead to such an evolution.

Apart from that, apart from the rudimentary chariots, only the minotaurs had some metal armour and their race weapons, a long and extremely heavy axe.

The other guards in the caravan, at most wore leather armor and rustic weapons, with some metal parts if they were lucky.

The merchants had clothes, somewhat better made than the average, that showed that their alliance was in a good moment.

The caravan in circular formation, was on the defensive against the two beast class, while mine began to harvest the souls of all the raptors and some three horned oxen.

On my way to the wagon circle, I only killed three fearless raptors, in my case I used another method different from the one used by Velona.

Using the chains on my tail I was able to pierce them from the mouth to the brain, whether they had it open or closed, it was indifferent, the tails, unlike the chains invoked, are like a part of our body, as if they had muscles and ligaments with which to propel or direct themselves.

In the instant that my tail moved, there was a raptor that had died without knowing how, fast and accurate.

Saun also had a similar method, he would stand behind the raptors and his tail/chain would pierce the throat or temple, leaving a corpse almost intact.

Then there was Velona or Pele, they enjoyed crushing their victims, then there was Gal or Charon, they move their chains so fast that they are able to cut the thin necks of the abductors.

There was also some trouble from a sadistic and knowledge hungry madman, Balthazar was toying with them, oblivious to all danger, he was driving his chains into various targets, testing method after method to see which one killed or tortured them the best. Leaving the poor creatures screaming in pain and terror.

Although the worst was Lilith without a doubt, I only took one look at her and didn't want to look any further, no matter how veteran you are, you would still get sick to your stomach with just one look. It was so atrocious, many of the caravaners had white complexions and you could hear vomit after vomit inside the non-combatants.

Just for reference, she wasn't even wearing the chains.

After a couple of minutes of walking quietly with no enemy coming after me, I arrived at the circle, then got on one of the wagons and sat quietly, they would take care of the beast class or at least until mine were done with the others or decided to stop playing.

I turned to the old man and he looked at me, he kept his bearing well in this situation, but with my safe zone I could notice the slight tremor his hands had, hidden behind his back, giving him a disguise of dignified bearing.

 - Well, gentlemen merchants, where are you going? - My relaxed attitude seemed to hurt them, the reason?

In the center I could see several bodies lying on the ground, I did not count them, but they were at least a dozen, all with the similarity of carrying a blanket on top, something very expensive in my opinion, but respectable, this already gave me a clue that their leaders could not be players or would be very nice players. Apart from that similarity, all the corpses had their differences, some seemed to be missing limbs or directly huge blood stains on the blanket, which showed how huge was the wound received, another point was the lumps and sizes, some seemed not to have many summers above and others may not wear white.

Such was life, frugal and coveted, at the same time eternal and despised.

It was normal that even some of the relatives of the victims looked at me with a strong lividity, a desire to destroy me for my parsimony, in this situation.

At that moment, the old man raised a hand in the air, to stop anyone from saying anything, he seemed to realize that many of those behind him did not agree with my calmness.

 - Young sir, we are on our way to the city of the mermaid empress, as you can see we are merchants, our Leprechaun alliance is formed by native tribes and several immortals, with the desire to grow and protect ourselves we have formed a medium village, about 300 kilometers southeast - It seemed that he also had some reluctance to my attitude, but right behind me was Lilith having fun, forcing him to see that scene every time he looked at me, I must say that this old man has a good stomach.

With some hesitation, he asked about us, to which I answered without any problem.

 - We are a nomadic group, as you can see we specialize in combat, because we have traveled a lot, we feel like settling down, even for a while and we were thinking of going to see the little emperatrix and offer our services as mercenaries - When I finished talking I could see a gleam in the eyes of the old monkey, also a touch of terror.

 - By how you have called the mermaid emperatrix means that you are a dreamer or an immortal, could you tell me which of the two cases it is? - Now it was I who had a twinkle in my eye, I didn't expect to be caught by a name, although there was nothing wrong in saying it either.

 Clever monkey

My response was obviously pleasing to the ears of the monkey and those present, it was trendy the belligerent and condescending attitude of the players to the natives, while the immortals were kinder towards them, giving a great social stigma and even a seed of racism in the native groups.
