Saturday came in very early and yes, I did agree to go with him my mother would have wanted me to do it. We got to the airport and yup my dad came in a private jet. He sure is loaded or did he borrow it from somebody a friend maybe. Right in front of the entrance stood two men in black suit, one walked up to me and took my suitcases from me. I walked right behind my father as we got in, I sat on the seat next to him I put one my seat belt this is kind of the first time I was entering a plane but I tried so hard not to show it but when we took off I got exposed when I literally felt my throat fall into my stomach I closed my eyes really tight. O my God I'm about to throw up. I finally opened my eyes when I heard a very deep chuckle beside me. I opened my eyes and looked at my father he looked like he was about to laugh really loud
"Are you okay?"
"yeah I am fine"
"You look like you are about to be sick"
He collected a bottle of water from one of the attendants and handed it over to me.
"They answer to you too"
Huh
"Everybody who works under me will answer to you too"
"What do you do?"
"I own an electronic business"
"And how much do you make?"
"A lot"
Hmmm
"And what I own is also yours so don't allow anybody intimidate you"
I am going to meet his wife and his kids and he expects me not to feel intimidated he has to joking. I closed my eyes to take a nap since I have not had a good sleep in a while. I felt a really warm clothing placed on my body. I have never been a deep sleep so I could basically hear my father talking about business and stuff. In the mist of that I heard my name.
"She is asleep"
"...….."
"Don't worry Beth I will look after her"
"......"
"You can visit anytime you want"
"......"
"hmm I will do that"
Few hours later we landed, my bags were taken to the cars waiting for us at the entrance of the airport. We were on the road for a good 30 minutes before we came to a halt right in front of a huge gate. The last time I saw this type of gate was back at home and it was for a catholic church. The gate opened then we started to drive in.
On the left and the right of the drive way stood really tall palm trees, in the midst of the trees I could see little ducks walking towards a pond and yes, I have really good eye sight. The drive way is in a Y shape the tail leads towards the compound gate, the other parts leads to only God knows where then the is a water fountain with a statue which is a mother holding her baby like she is rocking it to sleep. Right in front stood a huge house, it was painted in white and it kind of reminds me of the white house. The two huge pillars at the front did not have the traditional straight line the lines were spiral instead. I came down from the car looking very amazed like my father was actually loaded but I guess him being married was the reason she never wanted him around and I kind of understand that.
The huge front doors were opened for us and an elderly lady stood in front of us with a smile
"Welcome home Mr. Jones
"Thank you, Agatha"
"Welcome miss Walker"
I only mumbled a thank you.
"Mrs. Jones is in the living room sire"
"And the children?"
"They are with her sire"
He gave her a nod while he told me to follow him. The thought of meeting his family made my heart beat way too fast. As we walked closer to the door, I could hear people talking and one of them seemed very angry
"Seriously Dad is bringing her here and nobody felt like telling me? Are you okay with this Ivan?"
I did not know if Ivan replied her or not because the voiced which replied her was a woman it was soft and gentle very different from the previous person who spoke
"She is your fathers' child MaryAnne and she is also you sister and we are going to welcome her...…."
My father opened the door while she was still talking, I really wanted to hear what she had to say. I stood right behind my father trying to hide from their gaze. I heard a deep chuckle it seems the men in this family have that in common.
"No need to hid we won't bite" I peeked for behind my father's arm to see whom I presume is Ivan looking at me with a very curious look on his face
"She does look like Dad alright, you are welcome" looking at a very beautiful woman who I guess is my father's wife. I finally got the courage to face them so I took a seat on one of the bar stools in front of the kitchen counter.
"No, she is not! Dad I cannot believe you cheated on mom"
"That was a long time ago Mira get over it and mom is cool with her being here I don't see why you are complaining"
Ivan looks like he is in his late twenties while Mira looks like she was in her mid-Twenties. She just scuffed and walked out, Ivan said he was going to visit his Fiancée while my father had to go back to the office, right now it is just me and his wife in the kitchen.
"My name is Katerina, feel free this is your house too"
"Are you not upset to see me here?"
"The adults made the mistake not you, so I cannot blame you for that"
"But…."
"I was upset when I heard about your existence but I did not blame anyone, your father and I were forced to marry each other so it was natural for him to do what he did and knowing your father he is going to feel guilty not that he cheated but that he was never in your life so when I heard he was bringing you here I felt it was a good Idea
"So that means?"
"So that means you should not walk on egg shells in this house and don't mind Mira she I going to come around"
I gave her a small smile
"Are you hungry?"
"No thank you I ate on the plane while coming"
"Alright then Agatha will show you to your room"
I followed Agatha up the long stairs to the second floor of the building
"You and Miss Mira will be sharing this floor"
"That is her room" she pointed to a door that was at the far end of the hall
"And this is your room" Then she opened the double door we were standing in front of. We walked in to the room and it was magnificent.
Right in the middle of the room stood a very huge bed covered in in white bedsheet, on both sides of the bed are two drawers which have lamps on them. Opposite the bed which is quite a distance for a room stood a study table which has a computer on it, it also has to drawers attached to the sides of the tables which contained school supplies. Beside the table stood a full body length mirror which is oval in shape, the design of the frame was painted in gold to complement the rooms white aesthetics. The room has a to sofas a TV set and a bay window which has a lot of throw pillows and plushies. The room has its own bathroom and a walk-in closet which was almost the same size as a room back home. I said almost. The room was practically empty since one has lived in it. White was not technically my color but it is way better than purple.
"He has been working on this room since he knew about your existence" I turned in shock to see Katerina she was looking at me with a little smile on her face. There is this sense of guilt I feel when I see her like I came from no where and invaded her home.
"Wipe that look from your face Alice" She said with a very light voice. Like who will want to cheat on her.
"When did he know?"
"You were three years old, and he told me immediately that is why I wasn't so angry because he respected me enough to tell me. I wanted to divorce him but he started to change which kept me, he cared for your mother but he wasn't in love with her but he loves you and after what happened I thought to myself that you need a lot of love and attention now
"You do not have a lot of things here so tomorrow we are going to get you new things if you do not like the color of the room we can change it for you and don't for get you are starting school very soon so you and your father will talk about that"
"Okay"
"Are you sure you are not hungry?"
Before I could deny it, my tummy made a very loud noise. She started to laugh out loud she gestures to me to follow her. We got to the kitchen a bowl of spaghetti was placed before me I took a bite and wow my inner woman was mesmerized it was flavorful.
"She seems to like it a lot" I heard Ivan's voice. Do these people not have feet? How come I did not hear him come in? Beside him stood a very pretty girl and she was a red head.
"Alice meet Bella my Fiancée and Bella meet Alice my little sister"
"Hi Alice nice to meet you"
"And you too"
She walked to Katerina and gave her a huge hug
"Hi Mama"
"How are you doing"
"I am alright"
"Bella are you busy tomorrow?"
"No, Why?"
"I am taking Alice shopping tomorrow I want to come with us"
"Really? Okay"
"HEY! But you have plans with me tomorrow" Ivan said with a pout
"Babe we see ourselves everyday so you not see me tomorrow will not kill you"
"It could" he said under his breath
"No, it would not and by the way I need to get to know your sister more and bond"
"Fine"
Few ours later my father came home and so did Mira she did not say anything to me and I did not say anything to her either. Bella stayed over for dinner and she is one energetic person. She kept on talking about her dog and how much it hates everybody especially her mother, they also talked about her wedding with Ivan which was going to take place at the end of the year everyone seemed excited about it even Mira.While everybody was laughing and talking my mind wandered to my Mother, Aunt Beth and Uncle Mark the people who watched me grow up who protected me, now I am in another territory not knowing what awaits me here. I am supposed to start school in a week a place o have not been to in a very long time I don't know what will happen if I tell them that I want to keep on being home schooled I mean it's the best thing fore now I can never get past what happened ever and I am pretty sure it will trigger a lot of things which I do not want. Dinner ended and I didn't eat much either I went to my room took a bath and went to bed.
