AGGON THE DEVASTATING
Misenta once told me that all the shadow summoners in the sect were poisoned by the Shadow Summoner's magic. Their lives could be taken at any time by the elders.
This poison magic was probably a kind of curse that Grandmaster Morgren put on all his subordinates. Their lives could be taken at any time for his dark magic sacrifice.
Their lives were taken now.
"Damn, what the hell are you summoning this time?" I asked Morgren in my mind.
Our ships quickly retreated in the face of the dark clouds.
----
After the Dark Realm was appeased with the sacrifice, the ominous clouds overhead coalesced into a sinister form, taking on a humanoid shape adorned with multiple appendages, each brandishing formidable sabers and scimitars. Despite the constraint of so many limbs within a single body, the entity wielded its weapons with terrifying proficiency.
With a sweeping motion, the monstrous being unleashed its arsenal in all directions, sending shockwaves of destruction rippling through the earth and the air.
In a single devastating blow, it laid waste to the entire Conjurer Court, obliterating all in its path.
Even the formidable Behemoths and Hell Tanks, hovering above in the sky, were not spared from the ferocity of the monster's onslaught.
The Empire's armada swiftly retreated, recognizing the futility of further engagement against such overwhelming power.
Thus, the summoned abomination asserted its dominance, reigning supreme over the shattered remnants of its conquest.
"Behold Aggon the Devastating"
------
"Nothing will stop me from conquering the Conjurer Court and obtaining the Conjurer Inheritance today", Grandmaster Morgren said to me.
"Are you crazy? Did you sacrifice all your men just to summon this mad beast?" I asked Morgren.
"You shall not escape from Aggon's grasp", Morgren told me.
"This damn creep is not enough to defeat me", I replied to him.
Although Morgren was confident of winning with the summoning of Aggon the Devastating, I have one last move that I could use which could turn the tide of war against Morgren- My Sword of Malevolence.
But summoning my Sword of Malevolence came with complications and side effects. The apostles may return here to look for the Dark Angel if his sword appeared here now.
I recently learned from Spellmaster what the souls of the previous Dark Angels were. Although they pretended to be the nascent soul of the Dark Angel, in fact, they were merely squatters in my soul realm.
The nascent soul of the Dark Angel is me, not those homeless creeps.
But the souls of the previous Dark Angels grow stronger every time I use the Sword of Malevolence. These squatters in my soul realm know how to steal my Dark Angel magic for their own sinister use.
If they became strong enough before I could control the Dark Angel's magic, they would in turn, appropriate my mind and body and replace me as the new Dark Angel.
Then I noticed something different in the sky.
Although all our ships have retreated, there was a flying pavilion in the sky, standing there watching the monster Aggon with interest.
-------
"Teacher, are we not going to help these people?" Strega asked Mage Narga.
"The matters in the Three Dynasties doesn't concern us at all", Mage Narga replied to her.
"This monster from the dark realm isn't a local matter. It is a menace. We should destroy it in the name of Justice", Strega pleaded with her teacher.
"I will shoot once and that is all I will do to help this world", Mage Narga replied to her student's pleading.
Suddenly, Mage Narga faced the monster Aggon who was conjured from the depths of the Dark Realm.
"I have a Spell", Mage Narga told the monster in a thundering voice.
"Finally, the Mage of Prolis decided to make a move", I told myself in relief as I watched the mage appear in the sky.
------
The once dark sky transformed into a fiery red canvas as the heavens ignited with an otherworldly blaze.
Dark clouds were obliterated by the sheer power of the flames, yet these infernos were not the result of Mage Narga's conjured spell- they were merely the tangible manifestation of her unparalleled sorcery.
With a simple snap of her fingers, a spark ignited, heralding the beginning of an unstoppable cascade. From that initial spark emerged a torrent of flames, each spark multiplying exponentially with every passing moment.
What began as a humble flicker swiftly burgeoned into an inferno of unprecedented intensity, fueled by the sheer force of Mage Narga's magic.
"Arggghhhhhhh!"
The monstrous entity known as Aggon, hailing from the dark realm, howled in agony as Narga's spell consumed half of its corporeal form.
Such was the terrifying might wielded by the mages of Prolis.
With their task half accomplished, Mage Narga and her apprentice departed from the scene, leaving behind naught but whispers of their enigmatic ways.
The mage of Prolis, did not intervene to help us vanquish our adversity outright. Rather, she granted us the faintest glimmer of hope amidst our trials, enabling us to confront our challenges with a modicum of possibility.
------
"No,….", Grandmaster Morgren screamed as half of Aggon the Devastating was destroyed by the Mage of Prolis' single Spell.
"Huh, you sacrificed all your shadow conjurers for nothing", I shouted to Morgren to gloat.
"Even just half a monster, Aggon will decimate this entire place and kill all of you", Grandmaster Morgren shouted to me furiously.
"Damnit, does anyone have an idea how to defeat that damned half Aggon?" I asked, expecting nobody to answer me.
"I have this", Conjurer Iras said to me to my surprise as he brought out a long antenna of some kind to show me.
"What the hell is that?" I asked him.
"This is the core of the Heliostat device of the Conjurer Court or what remains of it", he told me.
"What is the use of this damn thing if it is broken?" I asked him.
"The part of the Heliostat that draws magic is broken but the core still works fine. If we can repair the Heliostat in time to destroy the monster Aggon", he told me.
"We don't have the bloody time", I replied to him.
"There is nothing that you can do now? Your situation is hopeless", Axe shouted toward us.
"We just need to repair the magic that powers the Heliostat. The magic arraye on it still works", Iras told me.
Then I thought of something that may work before asking him, "Give me the bloody Heliostat, I have magic to power its arraye."
