After a couple of days, Albion did get his new timetable. His new swordsmanship class being C. More than happy he could finally leave behind his boring training routine of just standing still, connecting, and being one with his sword. He went and spoke with Sylvia about rearranging what class he would be teaching and now he was teaching Class E instead. The scheduled class fitting in with his timetable until the second year began. Though, he can't say the magic class was too happy seeing his face. In fact, there was an obvious aura of hate and resentment directed towards him. However, he didn't let that affect how he taught them.
However, the students were only getting worse towards the end of this year. A new rumour going around about him. "Newbie Crusher", "Student Killer", "The Slaughter". Though he liked the sound of the last one, all the titles people gave him made him sound like a bad person. All were made because of his little run-in with someone inside the tower. The whole story was misrepresented… partly. The part where he burned down a large chunk of the forest and slaughtered goblins was true. But him relentlessly attacking students was completely false.
Though Albion now enjoyed his nice variety of titles that people put their time and effort into thinking of. "The Perv", "The Rule Breaker", "Worst Commoner", "Newbie Crusher", "Student Killer" and "The Slaughter" his favourite title.
Even when he was now being introduced to his new swordsman class he could hear them whispering those titles. "Oh look, the worst commoner." "Don't look at him. He may perv on us." "During training, we should beat him up, crush him." But Albion didn't focus on his peers talking bad about him. He instead focused on the woman talking to him about his new class. The woman looked like a knight with short spiky red hair and a scar straight across her forehead.
???: And now that you have joined our class you will be practicing with us. Please demonstrate your Weapon Mana.
Albion had been given a training sword for the class like everyone else. Using his Weapon Mana which surrounded his sword in flickering blue mana.
???: Hmmm. F rank. And seeing how it forms… you gained enlightenment from a flame or a source of fire around or inside of you.
Albion: How did you know?
???: Well yours is flickering like a flame. It's violent. There are those that sway and droop like water. There are those that shoot out from the hilt like a strong wind and there are those that are solid like the earth. There are other Weapon Mana auras that aren't inspired by the four basic elements but instead by other things or even people. Those tend to have unique looks or properties. Some are even plain. A regular development as it's called. In this class, we train this and apply these Weapon Manas to techniques.
Albion listened and learned from his new female teacher.
Albion: {I've only ever learned the paladins' basic swordsmanship.} What techniques will we be learning?
???: Maybe he should also be called "The Slow Learner".
The students laughed. Albion was confused. For C class they were awfully cocky. It was easy to come up with a name for them. The Cocky Class. He already had names lined up for the other classes. The Bitchy Class and The Asshole Class. Albion gave a small laugh thinking of the names. Turning his attention back to the teacher.
???: While some techniques are better suited for different Weapon Mana types. At Aragon Boarding School we teach a basic swordsmanship technique versatile for all Weapon Manas. Then in the later years, we help you learn better techniques related to your Weapon Mana type. But that's only if you stick with the swordsmanship classes. However, as of now, you're behind in class. So I'll give you the manual for you to learn from and catch up for next year. I have great hopes for the first student to move up a class.
Albion: Thank you, Mrs Croft.
Mrs Croft, Bevil Croft's wife flashed a small smile as she handed Albion a manual titled "3 Basic Mana Sword Strikes". Mrs Croft smiled as Albion left. However, he received less than friendly comments from his new classmates as he left. Mrs Croft told them to be quiet and get with their regular partners.
Scene change
After a basic lecture on mathematics, Albion was now teaching his new class. Though what he was teaching them was significantly easier than what he had previously taught. Just a history lesson on the origins of magic. No specific theories or circle demonstrations. No advanced calculations and circles concerning other subjects. Just basic memorisation of easy material.
Albion: So to sum up the lesson today. Each rune from a magic circle is an altered variation of the first magic the dragonic runes. The language spoken by dragons. Each word imbued with power. For other races to use it they were studied and altered. Forming the runes we know now. Next lesson there will be an end-of-year test. This will be to see if you have committed these runes to memory. Without that, you can't become a proper mage even if you can utilise mana.
The students got up from their seats as they all began to leave. All flashing glares in Albion's direction as they left. Albion took a deep breath and sighed as the door closed.
Albion: {They were right. The bad-mouthing has only gotten worse as they move from the first year.}
Sylvia: You ok Albion?
Sylvia walked up to Albion as an opaque barrier formed around them. Sylvia looked into his eyes as Albion looked into hers.
Albion: Yeah… *Sigh* just students slightly getting on my nerves.
Sylvia: You could put them in detention. I could.
Albion: No it's fine. It would just make stuff worse. I'll probably get the title "Teachers Pet." I just have to live… 7 more years with ignorant, annoying nobles.
Albion gave a small chuckle as Sylvia looked at it.
Sylvia: I know. They can be so annoying. You get used to it though.
Albion: You experience it too?
Sylvia: No. Not now… but I did. Even after hundreds of years, they don't change. But there's something I wanted to ask you.
Albion: Oh same! {This should be a good time to ask her if she could take me home before the second year starts.}
Sylvia: Would you move in with me?
Albion: As in… live with you?
Sylvia: You don't have to! It's just you don't have anywhere for the second year, do you?
Sylvia said flustered as Albion looked at her confused about what she meant.
Albion: What does that mean?
Sylvia: Your dorm… it's only for the first year.
Albion: {IT IS?! WHEN DID THAT BECOME A THING?!} Oh… Yeah, I'll move in with you. If you can tolerate me. {Now it makes sense! Those guys weren't all in one house because they were a party! They just couldn't afford a place!}
Sylvia: {YAY! I'VE ALREADY GOT HIM LIVING WITH ME!} So what did you want to ask?
Sylvia said with a massive smile that easily showed how happy she was he was going to move in.
Albion: Before 2nd year starts, would it be ok if you could take me back home for a bit?
Sylvia: SURE! YOU COULD EVEN INTRODUCE ME TO YOUR PARENTS!
Albion: Didn't you already meet them?
Sylvia: Only your mother. And only for a second.
Albion: Then it's a plan. {I wonder what my parents would think about my situation regarding my love life.}
Sylvia: It's a plan!
Sylvia jumped at Albion inside the opaque barrier. Their lips locked as she kissed him deeply and passionately. Her hands travelled along his back and down to his ass. Grabbing and squishing at his behind, which was something she did very often. It was a very new experience for Albion in this body. In any body. But he couldn't say he didn't like how she loved him like this. She slowly gripped it, working her way closer and closer in. Albion perked up as she got closer in.
Sylvia: I'll enjoy meeting the parents that made you. And the students… if they do give you the title "Teachers Pet", I'll enjoy having you as one.
Sylvia showed a seductive smile as she and Albion indulged in each other a bit more before getting on with the rest of their days. Though Sylvia dragged Albion back out of his dorm room to spend the night with her.
