"I heard from my father that you and His Highness Douglas encountered an attack from the enemy when patrolling the border," Peggy explained. "I couldn't attend the ball a few days ago because I was out of town, but I heard from others that you looked well. Seeing you today puts my mind at ease."
Out of consideration for national honor, the incident of the attack was not widely publicized. Therefore, only a small number of high-ranking officials and nobles were aware of it.
Margaret touched her still warm cheeks and smiled slightly as she thanked Peggy. Peggy's gaze shifted, noticing the book in the hand of the orc guard. "Did you go to the library?"
"Yes. I picked up a few interesting books," Margaret glanced at the sky. "Sorry, I have to go home now. We'll chat next time."
Disappointment was evident on Peggy's face. She hesitated for a moment before clearing her throat and asking, "Tomorrow... is our afternoon tea time. Will Miss Margaret come?"
