Chapter 120 - The Lord of Blood.

(It appears that two months have gone by without an update. I never planned to drop this or stop writting, but the last two months have been beyond depressing. Tough luck for me I guess.)

Romonus glanced down at the Tree Sentinel seemingly patrolling this area to stop new Tarnished before they entered the Land's Between. They had to have been placed by Morgott who as the abridged version said, was a simp for the tree.

His group gathered at his sides to look down at the large Knight. Lady Red squinted her eyes as she looked at the seemingly human-shaped being. It was rare to find people as large as her, Romonus or Ophos.

"What a unique creature, a human as tall as us isn't too common."

Valerie glanced at the man's Life Code and Soul Code with curiosity. This is why Romonus wanted her here as she could determine what made people tick with a glance.

"He isn't all human anymore it appears, his blood is mutated because of the energy of that giant Tree in the distance. Kind of odd in a sense if you ask me."

Now that he thought about it, Romonus glanced in the distance at the Erd Tree. He or any of his group could destroy the Erd Tree if they wanted, but it wouldn't let them plunder the thing if they did that.

However, he had another idea as he thought of all the Golden Seeds that he could combine. Then, he would water it with his Demon God Blood to create his Qliphoth tree-like in Devil May Cry.

With help from Valerie and her ability to modify the Life Codes of living things, he could grow the fruit to further empower himself by sacrificing another Alternative Reality from Dragon Deus. He had done it enough that doing it again wouldn't be an issue.

'Maybe I should do it.'

Trihexa though grinned as she looked at the Sentinal. She glanced over at Romonus.

"Do I kill him?"

Romonus nodded as there was no point in being diplomatic with the Sentinels. They were enemies in the first place and aggressive.

"Of course. I doubt he would listen to us, but keep the horse alive."

Trihexa nodded as she jumped down. When she did so, the Sentinal turned around and charged toward her on his massive war horse. He swung his halberd with great force only for Trihexa to catch the weapon with one hand.

She tore it out of the Sentinel's hand before she used it to decapitate him. When he died, she saw the Golden Runes flow out of his corpse. Trihexa didn't absorb them, but she did gather them as they rushed toward her.

Rule number one was to never absorb anything not fully tested. Who knew what these Runes could do if absorbed without care? As for the large horse she grabbed its reigns and placed a hand on its head.

"Calm."

That was all it took for the horse to calm itself after the death of its rider. She turned around to everyone on the ledge who was still looking down.

"He is dead and he dropped some Gold things."

Romonus and his group all jumped down before joining Trihexa. She walked toward him and held out her hand which had the Golden Runes.

"These fell from the corpse after his death. What are they?"

He reached out and took them into his hand. He imbued them with his Infernal Divinity causing the Golden Runes to turn dark purple. They even fused into a tiny shard the size of a nail.

"Runes. Parts of the Elden Ring a godly item in essence. I think I will find a lot of use in this world."

He sent the runes into his Spatial Ring as he didn't want to risk absorbing things on impulse. He walked toward the corpse and picked up the head. He removed the helmet from the head and saw a human-looking face.

"Interesting."

He sent the corpse into his Spatial Ring before glancing at the giant horse.

"Valerie, you want him?"

Valerie looked at the horse which moved its head to her. It walked toward her and lowered its armored head toward her. As a Demon Vampire, animals of many kinds flocked toward her.

"Sure, I always wanted a horse."

Trihexa handed her the reigns which she took with a smile. With Valerie now the owner of an Erd Tree Sentinel's horse, here is where things would change. Romonus pulled out the Pureblood Knight Badge as this would lead him to Mohgwyn Palace and Mogh himself.

It did also make more sense to ignore Mogh for now and focus on the other Demigods. Then again, he didn't have to act like this was a game. He could do anything and in any order.

"Right then. First thing first is to move the portal."

Romonus focused on the portal as he had been the one to place it down. He made the shimmering portal move toward the location where Varre had been standing. Once it was in place he knew they could ignore it as whatever passed it would be torn apart by the Dimensional Gap.

Now he could begin to explore this world in the meantime for what it was worth. This world's level was alright for the moment, but he wanted to find somewhere else soon. Somewhere a little more dangerous.

"I have determined what we will do. We will stay together as it will be better for us at the moment. I know this world inside out as I know this game. I will explain everything there is to know about it so you can all understand my actions."

Anyone curious?"

Serafall nodded.

"We are, tell us the story. What is this game world?"

"This is called Elden Ring from one of the Alternative Dimensions I invaded. It is like Dark Souls as it was made by the same developers. In this game, there are Outer Gods who have a claim to beings here.

The main one is the Greater Will and their avatar Queen Marika The Eternal. A supposed Goddess who has a lot of children. Many of her children or descendants received shards of the Elden Ring a magical manifestation of the Greater Will.

My plan, we are going to go to each Demigod, recruit the ones we can, and kill the ones we can't. This badge will lead us directly to one of her cursed twins, Mogh the Lord Of Blood."

Valerie thought about that.

"Lord Of Blood? Is he a Vampire?"

He shook his head.

"No such thing in this world. Not really."

Silvana pointed at herself.

"How about Dullahans?"

"Nope. Most races that existed in our world, Dragon Deus don't exist here. Different, but interesting all the same. Now, let us get the first great rune."

From the look of it, everyone who came with him was ready. They were all smiles so he activated the enchantment on the Badge to teleport to Moghwyn Palace. In a flash of crimson, they all were dropped off at the starting point. When they all appeared, they were instantly standing in blood. Valerie as a vampire looked down, but she covered her nose in disgust.

"Gross. This blood just seems nasty."

Romonus flexed his will and the entirety of the blood around them froze solid. A large area around him got turned into a small tundra making it far more bearable.

"There we are, let us be quick since we can explore in depth once we have this area in control."

From Romonus' Shadow, 10,000 Shadow Demon Knights, 100 Shadow Demon Princes, and 10 Greater Shadow Demons just as he started.

"Go, kill every enemy you find. Bring me the spoils, do not absorb the runes, collect them safely and bring them to me."

All his Demons seemed to grin as they marched off to do this. As for Romonus, he teleported everyone directly to the Mogh Boss Arena. Without saying anything, they all stepped inside the personal 'chambers' of Mogh. That and whatever that egg was as it surely wasn't Miquella.

Valerie glanced at it and she instantly knew something was off.

"I found your Demigod."

Romonus nodded as he looked at the large egg that would take him to the Land Of Shadow and Mesmer.

"Mogh, the Lord Of Blood. A cursed Omen."

They all walked inside and when they did, the withered arm fell from which blood began pooling on the ground. Everyone watched as from the blood emerged Mogh himself.

He was huge for one, taller than Romonus, but he looked disfigured. He didn't turn to them and instead held the withered hand.

"Dearest Miquella, you will have to abide alone for a while."

Romonus shook his head as he walked forward toward Mogh. When the Omen turned around, Romonus was already infront of him.

"Mogh, it is time to talk."

Mogh seemed amused as he spread his arms out.

"Talk? What is there to talk about, Honored Guest."

"Your 'love' for your brother, Miquella. It is not genuine and I will show you."

When Romonus reached Mogh, the Omen was hit with a harsh gravitational pressure. It forced him to his knees caysing Mogh struggled to rise as Romonus held his head.

He surged his Infernal Divinity within Mogh's soul where he found a golden imprint of Miquella. Not just that in Mogh's soul he saw the Great Rune. He cleared away Miquella's enchantment, and he also took the Great Rune from Mogh. At first, Mogh seemed like a puppet with his strings cut, as he fell limp.

Romonus released him and glanced at the glowing rune in his hands. It was crimson and dripping blood as Mogh's and the Boundless Mother's influince on it was great. He stepped away from Mogh who was reeling from suddenly being in control again.

With the influince of Miquella gone, and his Great Rune taken, he felt weird. Weakened, and cut off from the Formless Mother especially when Romonus took his trident and dropped it into his spatial ring.

He picked himself up and he grabbed his face as a serious headache was effecting him.

"What was I-"

Romonus answered him.

"Doing? Miquella tricked you Mogh. He used you and your blood to grant him entrance to the land of Shadow through that withered arm. That is not Miquella, just a creation of his. He aims to become a God and he needs you and Radahn dead."

Mogh sat himself down for once feeling himself for years.

"Why?"

"He plans to use your corpse as a vessel for the soul of Radahn. He wants Radahn as his consort, but Radahn refused him. You were just a pawn in this game. Of Miquella and the Formless Mother.

Romonus still holding the Shard of the Elden Ring raised it above his head. His Infernal Divinity surged through the shard causing it to begin evaporating the blood on it. His Domains purged the influince of the Greater Will on it and made it perfect for him.

What was left behind was a purple glowing rune surging with Romonus' divinity. He then absorbed it into his soul where it synchronized with it granting him its power. Instantly, the Shadow Demons of Romonus, his familiars, and his gear felt new strength flow through them.

The Shadow Demons slaughtered the Albanorics, and the other monsters and claimed their Skulls. Of course their runes and souls as well along with the treasure they could find. When Mogh saw what Romonus did he was annoyed.

"What now?"

Romonus turned to Mogh with a smile.

"Now depends on you. You no longer serve anyone, but that isn't true. You can serve me, a true God. Not an Outer God you can't understand, but a Demon you can speak to. Or will you stay in service to an Outer God or me?"

Mohg looked at Romonus and his group before he snorted.

"Do I have a choice?"

"No, but I can make your life easier. How doed curing you of the worst parts of being an Omen, like enhancing your Divine Blood or weakening some things. I can do that you know?"

Mohg looked into Romonus' eyes where the two Eight Pointed Stars slowly spun. Something about what Romonus said made it seem acurate.

"It appears I have no choice so I will serve. For now."

Romonus smirked.

"Good enough for me, now then. Let's fix you up, Valerie."
