Valerie walked toward Mogh who was currently still sitting down. Not only was he no longer being brainwashed by Miquella, but he also lost his connection to the Formless Mother and his Great Rune all at once.
He was kind of out of it, but when Valerie approached him he looked down at her.
"Who are you?"
She smiled nicely up at him ignoring his appearance.
"I am Valerie, one of Romonus' wives. I am a Demon Vampire, and more importantly, I have the special power to change beings from the core of their being. Like this."
She placed her hand on Mogh's right rough clawed hands and instantly felt everything about Mogh. Valerie began to rework his Blood Code which was completely warped and wrong by his connection to the Crucible.
After quickly seeing how his Demigod status reacted with his Omen Blood and Soul she fixed it. She drew out the strength of his Divine Parent increasing the purity of his Divine Blood and fixed his warped body.
Mogh felt all over his body that his Omen horns simply fell off which would hurt if they were cut off, but this was a deep bliss. The horn that stabbed into his eye and the rest of his head fell off as well replaced by flowing golden locks.
His dark scaly skin began to smooth over as his Omen features retracted replaced by more human features. His large black wings shrunk to match his new size and his body shrunk down from his 18-foot height to 12 feet.
This all happened in a flash of gold so when Valerie pulled back from the Demigod. Romonus watched as the formerly monstrous Mogh was purified of his curses state. When the flashing gold light was gone, Mohg The Lord Of Blood was gone.
Mogh The Golden was born cured of his affliction. When the golden glow was reduced, Mogh opened his golden eyes and with both hands touched his face. He ran his hands through his hair, and even more shocking was his hands.
They were smooth and human not clawed and grotesque. He now looked like a mix of his Mother and Father Godfrey and Marika. He looked up at Valerie who from the look of it was looking at his soul.
"You should feel much better now, I even left your wings and made it possible for them to retract. Your body seemed odd, a mix of healthy and diseased so I fixed it at the source. You're welcome."
Romonus chuckled as he waved his hand and shrunk Mogh's robe to suit his new size.
"How do you feel Mogh?"
Mogh stood up and he fell to his knees.
"I don't care who you are, I owe you all a debt. Nothing has been able to cure the Omen Curse and you did it instantly. Just from what I feel, I am stronger than I ever was. Regardless, of a Great Rune, you will forever have my thanks."
Romonus nodded.
"If you want to thank me, you are going to come with me. I am going to claim all of the Great Runes to create my own Divine Ring. However, my next target is your brother Morgott and you will help in talking him down. Now, we are leaving."
In a surge of Darkness, all of his Demons which had slaughtered everything in their path returned to his shadow with his treasure. Everything to be found in Mogh's Domain especially the Golden Seed which would be useful to Romonus when he grew his own Erd Tree or Qliphoth Tree.
Once his Demons were back, without waiting for Mogh to process things, Romonus teleported them all to Stormveil Castle the castle which Godrick The Grafted Ruled from and where Morgott was protecting him.
When Romonus and his entire group appeared where the Fog Gate to Morgott would be Mogh was looking around.
"This is Stomveil right?"
Romonus nodded.
"Correct, it is where the one of Godwyn's descendants rules from. He has one of the Great Runes, but he is nothing more than a weakling retch. He is being guarded by Morgott to prevent some Tarnished from killing him."
Mogh thought about it as he hadn't seen his twin in centuries since their time in the Shuning Grounds.
"Got it, so you want me to talk him down or something? Even when we were in the sewers we didn't get along. He was always a Simp for the Tree while I wasn't."
Now that he brought it up, Serafall was curious about something.
"What sewers?"
Mogh turned to her before explaining.
"Remember the big ugly thing I used to be? That was an Omen, a cursed ill-conceived thing born to humans with horns, wings, and tails. Those born of commoners get their horns cut off which results in death more often than not.
If you were born from nobility or royalty, you were hidden away in the sewers under Leyndell the Capital or our kingdom also called the shunning grounds. There was no cure until the blonde girl did it."
Valerie corrected him.
"It's Valerie."
Mogh nodded.
"Got it."
Romonus knew all this, but the girls didn't so it was good for a native to tell them.
"That is good and all, but get moving big guy. Twin is waiting."
Mogh didn't complain and he walked forward alone. As he did so, in a flash of Gold Morgott appeared to teleport before gazing down. At first, he was about to talk down to the 'Tarnished' who got too ambitious but he went quiet.
Mogh looked up at him before crossing his arms.
"Morgott, it has been a long time has it not my twin."
Morgott could barely believe what he was seeing. It was like the soft features of Marika and the strong noble ones of Godfrey were melded together.
"Mogh?"
Mogh nodded.
"It's me and I have found the cure to the Omen disease. Well, it was given to me, come down and let's talk peacefully. As twins, as brothers we owe it to each other do we not?"
Morgott from the look of things was completely stunned looking at his twin. However, he didn't let it last long as he closed his eyes before opening them.
"Regardless, my duty remains the same. Mogh, you are a traitor to the Erd Tree and Leyndell. Even if you are my brother, you will answer for your betrayal."
Hearing that made Mogh sigh.
"Let bygones, be bygones brother. We don't need to fight anymore, the Shattering is over, and the war is lost. It doesn't matter anymore."
Morgott bent his back and lowered his legs before he leaped into the air and slammed down in front of Mogh. He raised his cane before he locked his eyes on Mogh.
"As the King Of Leyndell, my duty is to end all traitors. You and the rest of the Demigods in your greed brought ruin to Leyndell and The Land's Between."
Mogh turned around with a shrug.
"See? It didn't work."
Morgott turned his head as he saw Romonus and his group walk out behind him.
"Morgott, these are the people who healed me of my affliction, they can heal yours as well. Let's make peace."
Romonus glanced at Morgott one of his favorite characters in Elden Ring. However, just as he expected Morgott refused.
"I refuse, you all will face punishment."
Morgott opened his hand and a large golden hammer appeared in it along with his cane. Seeing that just made Romonus sigh as he walked forward before appearing in front of Morgott.
He extended his fingers into a blade before he stabbed his hand straight through Morgott's heart and back. The Omen spat blood onto Romonus' face before he looked down at the hand stabbing him through the chest.
"Sorry about this Morgott."
Romonus then pulled his hand back before grabbing onto his heart. He then tore it out of his body before he pushed Morgott back causing the Omen Demigod to fall on his back gasping as blood pooled around him.
Mogh walked over to his twin before kneeling at his side.
"It didn't have to be this way Morgott. Sorry, you had to die like this."
Romonus glanced at the former Omen with a curious glance.
"I didn't kill him, I am a God Of Death so I am preventing him from dying. Valerie, do your magic. Don't make him stronger, just remove his Omen Curse."
"Coming right up."
While she did that, Romonus kneeled and he placed a hand on Morgott's horned head. His hand became spiritual which he pushed into Morgott's soul. He grabbed onto his Great Rune before removing it from Morgott.
This was his second Great Rune, the rune of Morgott which in-game raised maximum health. In lore, it should have granted the user extreme vitality, but it was time for him to get it to work.
He began to surge his Infernal Divinity into the Rune which caused its former golden color to fade replaced by a deep abyssal purple. He then absorbed it into his soul where it slotted in with the Greart Rune of Mogh.
When the two Great Runes merged, he felt all his familiars, weapons, Demons, his Peerage, and Demonic Saints all began to grow stronger, but his own body seemed to surge with vigor. His immortality seemed to synchronize with the new Great Rune in a way he could barely describe.
Just that it felt good as already he felt this trip was worth it.
"I am liking this Great Runes."
Valerie in the meantime, had already prevented the death of Morgott and she had even cured him of his Omen Curse. Much like his twin, he too took after his parents just without Mogh's wings.
Instead, he just seemed shorter and less muscular than Mogh as Morgott was thinner than his brother. Plus, his heart which had been torn out by Romonus was regenerated.
Romonus was even still holding his old Omen heart so he dropped it on the ground. In the meantime, Mogh looked at the passed-out Morgott.
"Honestly he was dumb."
Trihexa glanced at him.
"It doesn't fall far from the tree normally. Either your Mother was a retard, or your father had a rock for brains."
Mogh thought about it as if it could be either of them.
"Depending on the day, both are true."
That seemed to be concerning, but regardless, Romonus was on a roll.
"Stay here with the twins, I will be back."
In a surge of darkness, he teleported directly to Godrick who was currently gazing up at the dead drake running his hand down its face.
"Oh my kindred of power, lend me th-"
Romonus was not interested in playing so he walked forward and he simply cut the Grafted in half with a wave of his hand. As the descendent of the Golden Lineage fell dead, Romonus claimed his soul or remembrance and his Great Rune.
The Rune of Godrick was the Corner Stone the one the rest link to so he repeated his previous actions and cleaned it of the energy of the Golden Order with his Infernal Divinity.
Once the Golden Glow died and was replaced by his colors, of Abyssal Purple he absorbed it like the other two. Instantly, the three Great Runes rushed at each other and linked together granting him their strength.
The Rune Of Godrick increased all attributes substantially and it did. Using the energy of Romonus' soul, it enhanced the other two Great Runes and even his own body. By enhancing the Great Runes with his Infernal Divinity, the powers of the Great Runes were suited to himself.
His Domains enhanced them causing him to expect that when he completed the Elden Ring the result would be something unique. Since this was his first alternative reality, he wanted to enjoy it before finding a more dangerous one.
Regardless, three Great Runes in a few hours was good progress. It was only going to get faster from here.
