[General POV]

As random heat blasts, draconic energy, and psychic bolts were thrown across the ruined room, four Pokémon were hard at work training. Skeledirge focused on honing his aim and battle experience. His attempts at training Energy Manipulation had proven fruitless without having mastered moves at the Master Rank. Corviknight trained in speed, dodging Dragon Pulse after Dragon Pulse from Poipole. Though the attacks didn't hurt the massive steel avian, they served as motivation to improve his agility while also helping Poipole sharpen his aim in a more realistic setting. Finally, Gallade was practicing stealth. He already had brute force—he'd demonstrated that spectacularly in the recent battle—but now he was focusing on the art of assassination, teleporting swiftly from target to target, dismantling them before vanishing again, ready to re-engage.
While his team trained hard, Kubfu and Eli were locked in a staring contest. Eventually, Kubfu broke eye contact with an annoyed huff. Eli sighed, preparing his words carefully. "Look, I know you were angry seeing our whole team get wiped by Flutter Mane, but it was just a friendly fight. I admire your tenacity, but things will be difficult if you can't differentiate between friend and foe."
Kubfu looked away, avoiding Eli's gaze. Eli sighed again, for what felt like the hundredth time that day, deciding to let it go for now. "You're doing great. You're so close to evolving that we can both almost taste it. But don't lose yourself on the path of strength, Kubfu. That's all I'll say. Now go and continue your training." Eli offered his parting words as he checked on his other team members. They were managing well on their own. After a while, satisfied with their progress, he pulled out his notebook and started jotting down ideas. Energy manipulation of moves wasn't possible, at least not yet. He had learned that much. Expert Rank moves allow multitasking, while Master Rank moves allow energy manipulation. Still, just because he was blocked by the wall called move mastery didn't mean he'd stop pursuing the idea. He had one thought that stood out…
"Hey, Gallade! Come here for a second." In an instant, Gallade teleported right in front of him. Yes, friend trainer? Gallade spoke telepathically. "Skeledirge's move modification didn't work, but that's because we tried manipulating a Master Rank move. What about creating an entirely new move?" Gallade tilted his head, intrigued, beckoning Eli to continue, "Why don't we put stealth training on hold and try something new? You already showed your mastery of psychic energy during that battle in the winter hellscape—the membrane you created around my eyes was incredibly useful. Do you think you could do something similar, but with different constructs on a larger scale?" Gallade went deep into thought before replying, 'I'm not sure. I did that on instinct. I do realize my psychic reserves are unusually large, but I've never had proper control training.' Gallade gave an honest answer as Eli nodded, Eli nodded, considering Gallade's words. "Let's start working on Psychic construct creation. We'll focus on stealth later. If this works, you'll never have to worry about firepower again." Gallade gave a determined nod and walked away to begin training. Eli smiled, his mind already formulating new strategies for Gallade.
Time went by as Eli was writing something on his notebook as he observed his team training every once in a while. He had completely exhausted his mind as he looked at pages upon pages filled with move ideas, the problem was that most of them needed moves on Master Rank and his team were not even close to getting one move to Master Rank, it was truly not easy to even get one move to master rank even for Pokémon with Diamond Potential. Eli put the pen back in his cube as he re read what he had wrote until he passed out from exhaustion.
Eli didn't know how much time had passed as he slept soundly for the first time since the SS Anne incident, no nightmares no dreams no nothing, just sleeping.
As Eli woke up he saw his team asleep too, they had been pushed above and beyond then ever before especially those who fought against Flutter Mane. All were resting except for Kubfu who seemed more into training than ever, he was so engrossed in it he didn't even see Eli approaching, "Don't push yourself too much, while strength is necessary your safety is more important to me than anything in the world." Eli reminded his close friend once more who still didn't stop his training.
Eli sighed as he put his hands on Kubfu's shoulders making him stop, "Calm down, no matter what this is our journey no matter the ups and downs, the highs and lows, the victories or defeats, its much more beneficial to learn from a loss than to be happy from a victory." Kubfu lowered his head as he nodded. "Go rest up even if the others start training rest for another extra hour or so, that's an order." Eli patted his partners head as he gently nudged him to where he others were sleeping.
Kubfu nodded as he fell asleep quickly, running on absolutely nothing but sheer determination while training. Seeing that he finally got through to Kubfu Eli smiled before taking out his notebook from the cube once more, as interesting as the history of this place was he had a lot to work on with this team, his battle with Marina was enough proof.
'Alright first off let's begin with Poipole.' Eli thought as he turned his notebook to the page with Poipole's plan on it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Poipole:
Features:
Amazing offensive typing in Dragon Poison with great move options.
Evolved form is extremely fast especially when it starts picking up knock outs.
A Dragon type and Fairy killer in one.
Training Plan:
Focus on Speed and Special Attack training more so on Speed (best way to check would be to see which stat gets boosted from K.Os thanks to its Ability)
Mandatory Dragon Pulse training, if Poipole evolves in 6 months at the least or 9 months at most then it will be in time for the league, thought improbable if possible Naganadel can be my reverse sweeper in the league.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eli really didn't have much to work on as he had just gotten the bipedal alien but raising its potential would be no problem as that was to be left in the hands of Ultra Recon. As he moved the pages he arrived upon the plans he had for Gallade.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gallade:
Features:
Great for fast paced battles and fights where you fight to kill.
Lethality is unmatched with a Teleport and Sharpness boosted blade move.
Good support as well with Screens at Expert rank along with Heal Pulse.
Training Plan:
Speed and Attack training with focus on assassination and extremely fast paced attacks.
Create an original move after his psychic energy control is honed to a greater degree to utilize his psychic energy pool.
Get the other slash moves to Expert rank along with Confuse Ray and Hypnosis before moving onto getting his Perfect Talent moves to Master Rank.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Though it didn't seem like much Gallade had a lot on his plate as all in all just getting the moves to expert rank would probably take months. After looking over the details he continued to his more durable fighters.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kubfu:
Features:
A more Jack off all trades master of none but that is bound to change upon evolution as Urshifu will focus more on taking hits and hitting back harder.
Focuses on creating openings or capitalizing on openings granted by partners during battles, thrives mostly in battles that last short as his moves are no less lethal than Gallade's however he can fight battles of attrition with counter being an ace in the hole in such long battles.
Training Plan:
As evolution gets closer and closer his body is getting stronger too while his attacks are lethal he has more of an edge in battles of attrition, defense training and attack training with speed training on the side.
Get Low Sweep, Acrobatics, Iron Head and Counter to Expert rank while focusing on the techniques and teachings of the scroll of waters.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kubfu's foundation was solid, he was in the middle between in his team in terms of strength but not for long as Eli believed that when he evolved he'd be as strong as Gallade but this estimation was made before he got the Blood sacs of that monstrous buzzwole and learning that the Scroll of Waters was multiple times better than even the purest Top Grade evolution stones. After evolution he may be the strongest on his team. Finished with his musings he moved onto his two remaining Defense oriented fighters.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Corviknight:
Features:
Great Tank and Support with all sorts of moves to aid teammates and harass enemies.
Great defense and great methods to make them stronger and utilize them via Body Press as seen from tanking hits from a Mid Elite Ursaluna and Half Blood Shaymin.
Training Plan:
As Corviknight's evolution traded speed for defense his speed must be brought up to par as to not just be a slow moving tank who can take hits along with defense training and aim training added with the mix too.
Bring the moves U-Turn, screens, weather control, Metal Sound, Substitute and Brave Bird to Expert Rank before moving onto raising Perfect Talent moves to Master rank as well.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Corviknight was the perfect who could annoy the hell out of his opponents with the support he brought to the table not to mention he was a pain to defeat without any super effective attacks as he ate anything the opponents threw at him. All he needed as an AOE attack as he had planned to give him after he managed to master these moves, most probably Hurricane. Then he moved onto his Ghostly Soprano.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Skeledirge:
Features:
The perfect blend of offense and defense with capability of stalling out opposing Pokémon too. Torch Song to passively hit harder, with enough fire power with the new moves he has, stalling capabilities with Slack Off, Protect and substitute and can easily annoy opponents with Will-O-Wisp, Yawn and Curse.
Training Plan:
Skeledirge is hard to get off the field with his hidden ability making opposing stat changes useless and to make him even more annoying to deal with he should get Will-O-Wisp, Substitute, Curse and Yawn to expert rank before working on his Perfect talent moves, Skeledirge isn't just about sheer overwhelming force though we can show such might if needed, he is a Pokémon that should be at least if not more annoying than Adrian's Trevenant.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Move modification was a bust until Skeledirge got his moves to Master rank and even then Eli didn't plan to make Skeledirge his artillery he wanted him to be an annoying itch that didn't leave the opposing team till they died from scratching it.
Closing his notebook, Eli began fiddling with the training room's controls. He'd miss all the tech here. Though he didn't stay in Pokémon Centers as often as other trainers, he knew for a fact that even their most advanced training rooms couldn't compare to this one. As he finished tweaking the settings, he saw his Pokémon waking up slowly—all except Kubfu, who was still in a deep sleep. Assigning them their tasks, he aimed to get at least some of the moves they were training to expert rank.
Now that he thought about it, whenever he saw other trainers eat with their Pokémon, they never seemed to eat even a quarter of what his Pokémon consumed. Seriously, he had roughly calculated a year's supply of top-tier food, tailor-made for them and their typing's, just before leaving for the S.S. Anne. But now, they had already made a massive dent in it. Not that Eli minded—money wasn't an issue for him at the moment, and after consuming enough of this food, his Pokémon could raise their potential. After all, as the saying goes, "With great power comes an even greater appetite."
As he mused over this, the training room door opened, and Daan entered, "Good news. They've managed to narrow your home world down to just a handful of wormholes. You'll be back home in no time," Daan said with a smile, Eli nodded awkwardly, remembering what he had done to his daughter's Pokémon and trying to avoid eye contact. Daan chuckled, sensing Eli's unease, "Don't worry about what happened with Marina. She doesn't hate you for it. Quite the opposite, actually. To be completely honest, I've never seen her hold more than one conversation with anyone outside the family—except for you." Eli just shrugged, wanting to avoid the uncomfortable topic. Daan sighed but let it go.
"You'll probably be heading home in three or four days. Tell you what—if you don't show it to anyone else, I'll let you keep the book with our history as a send-off gift." Daan spoke with a smile as he saw Eli's eyes light up with joy. He had been deeply intrigued by this world's history, and if he was going to be sponsored by them, he might as well learn more. He thanked Daan multiple times, and Daan simply smiled warmly before leaving for another mission.
As his Pokémon continued training, Eli decided to read up as much as he could about the history of Ultra Megalopolis. Though he would get to keep the book, he had been cut off at a particularly interesting part of their history and couldn't wait to uncover more.
