Angelica's grip tightened on the sling of her bag as Sebastian ushered her into a restaurant. This gentle and caring side of him was so alien she felt suffocated.
How she ended up here with him, only God knows, because hell, she never wanted to share the same space with him. Never wanted to hear any of those apologies. She was sick to her stomach by all that.
But that look in his eyes, the sincerity in his voice... It was something she had never seen before. Those emotions had definitely done something to her, because why was she just following him like nothing happened?
Pulling a chair, Sebastian offered Angelica a seat at a corner of the restaurant and rounded the table to sit right across from her. Their eyes locked for a brief moment before Angelica looked away, her disinterest evident on her countenance.
A waiter came at Sebastian's signal and handed them the menu.
