~~~Azrael Jaesyrian, date?~~~
~~~The End~~~

"So another has come looking for what was not lost to him!" The towering dragon spoke to me, managing to startle me, "You can speak."

The dragon looked at me with a friendless face and asked, "Are you stupid or are you made? Of course, I can talk."

This was the final boss—a talking dragon with a huge sum of haughtiness? It was something completely different from what I first thought when I got here.

"So, you're here with what motive—to kill me, to free the Enderman, or to kill me?" The dragon asked me with some interest in his voice as he focused his huge eyes on me.

"I want answers, that's all," I told him the half-truth, not mentioning the Enderman to him. However, the dragon saw through my lie: "You're a lousy liar; keep it up, and you'll be looking to get yourself killed."

I just stood still, watching the dragon's strange behavior. This was not how I expected my encounter with him to go, though, come to think of it, many things in Minecraft have surprised me, from the helpful and earnest aptitude of the witches to the brusque and cool approach of the smiths like Maicol.

And now, I have a chatty, good-natured dragon. "So what do you think I came here for, according to you?" I asked him a question again, as I pulled out a block of wood, laid a piece of carpet on top of it, and sat down.

The dragon gave me a strange look once he observed how I spurred the block of wood and the carpet. To then look at me with strange eyes, "Who are you?" Instead of answering me, he asked me something new.

"My name is Azrael Jaesyrian, Khal of the Undying Horde, King of Xandar and its surrounding lands, Yokebreaker, Father of the Newcomers, Stallion who rides the world, King of the Sea of Grass, and Conqueror of the Yellow Cities." With all my titles afloat, I looked up at the dragon with my chin up, to see him look at me with a bored face.

"I said who you are, not what you pretend to be," the dragon said to me after a few seconds had passed, and what he said caught me off guard. I didn't understand what point he was getting at, or even why he was asking that when I didn't get to understand what he wanted to know.

Sure, at first I thought he was referring to what I had achieved in this world, but what if he meant something else? And that's when I thought of my old life, the one I had kept deep inside me, something that no one had ever known and that, for me, would stay that way for a long time.

"I am Andres, Andres Sanchez, a former language teacher at the Indo-American university, a lover of musical instruments, and someone who at some point was failed by the judicial system of his country."

"Is that what you want to know?" I asked, as the great dragon stood up with the help of the limbs of its wings, supported itself with its strong tail, and stood with its four legs in the air.

"See, it wasn't that hard; a human with childhood problems comes to my abode, wanting to free the Enderman, but without being able and knowing how to free himself from his past, ironic that," commented the dragon lightly, giving a glance at the thousands of Enderman that were walking around the huge pillars that surrounded us, without advancing beyond these.

"They weren't born this way, this was their realm, I arrived thousands of years after them, buried in this dimension to live condemned to only be a growth factor of those Notch chose to be worthy, forced to face them, even knowing it was suicide considering they used the same shiny tools you use, only to end up dead in the end, no matter how hard I fought, while Notch rejoiced giving words of support to his champion." He spat Notch and Champion's words with deadly hatred and resentment.

"I had to endure that for eons, dying and reviving every time after, unable to escape because of this damn indestructible cage, at the same time they," he said referring to the Enderman, "were also forced to live eternally with no will of their own, just for not letting me escape, so if you come to kill me, do it quickly, and please make sure this is the last time I die, and that it is true my death, so at least they too can rest."

The big dragon lowered his body and brought his thick neck closer to me, as he closed his eyes and waited for me to make my move.

For my part, I froze not knowing what to do, from what he had told me, I could murder him right now, and he would not move, since he wanted to rest, but I did not want that, in the first place, I had no intention of murdering him, partly because I had come to him in search of answers, and I did not plan on leaving here without answering them.

"I think you're the one acting stupid now," I said to him, letting out a deep sigh, "there must be a way to get you out of here, to get them all out" I commented as I looked at the huge pillars surrounding us, which were the cause of the dragon's imprisonment.

"No matter how good those contraptions you use, you won't be able to destroy those things, many have tried, and there are their remains" The dragon, after rejoining, spoke his knowledge about the ancient people who had visited him. Pointing to the ground near the pillars, a place where millions of artifacts floated, from apples, broken armor, or pieces of bread, meaning many had died.

"I'll still do it," I said with conviction, to which the dragon just stared at me for a few seconds, then nodded its huge head and retreated towards the pile of blocks where it rested.

So taking flight, I approached one of the pillars, which was made of obsidian. At its top, a group of linked blocks was spinning on itself, releasing a blinding bank glow.

Determined to test the waters, I grabbed my enchanted sword and, with a swift and strong horizontal swipe, struck the strange glowing artifact.

"Woomm!" The junction of blocks began to vibrate, producing a strange buzzing sound, at the same time as the other blocks in the other towers also did the same, 'this is not good' I thought, and just as I imagined, the crystals above the other pillars released a beam of light at great speed, the first one to touch me being the one that released the crystal I had attacked.

The force was such that it did not let me move, while I felt the enchantments of the armor being shattered. If I kept this up, I might as well die.

"BOMM!" It was at that I heard a huge explosion, at the same time as the force of the light aces stopped, and I fell hard to the ground. Looking up with difficulty, I saw how the dragon was attacking one of the pillars, releasing a large ring of purple light that was fighting for ground against the crystal's beam of light.

Still, that wasn't the only crystal there, and collectively the others were attacking the dragon in all directions, causing it to scream in pain and rage.

'Good, keep it up' I thought, replacing my damaged armor with a new one and taking off into the sky, until I reached an opportune height for what I was about to do, and grabbing an enchanted shield, I swooped towards one of the pillars, which upon sensing me approaching, stopped attacking the dragon and attacked me.

But this time I was prepared, and with the help of the shield, I was able to parry most of the blow, "AHHHH!" I screamed once the beam of light began to surround me, as I felt my skin burn.

"Destroy you dammit!" I shouted in exasperation, grabbing a trident and throwing it with all my might towards the crystal, which didn't react in time and allowed the trident to stab into it.

At first, nothing happened, other than the crystal stopped attacking me, but as if a mirror had shattered, the whole crystal exploded, pushing me away from it.

"Okay, nine to go" I commented, as I went and did the same move with the other crystals, who broke one by one as I destroyed them with the dragon's help.

"Boom" the loud bang was heard as the pillars collapsed, as if an earthquake had passed through these places, at the same time I went down to earth exhausted.

"Thank you, now I can rest in peace" the dragon, tired and wounded in his paws and with his right-wing burned, said in a low voice, as he lay down.

For my part, I ingested health potions to heal the burn wounds I had suffered, at the same time I took off the armor I had and put on a new one since the one I was wearing had also received damage.

"Would you like one?" I asked the dragon, showing him the health and regeneration potions, "no, let me die" was what he answered me, in his tired voice.

"Do you want to die? You can come with me to my land, enjoy the sun for the first time, and be free" I commented, to which the dragon looked up at the starry sky, "The sun? I have never known it, I came here very small, when this land was covered by absolute darkness, with no trace of day or night".

"So what do you say" I said, approaching him and offering him the regeneration potion, to which he lowered his head. Giving me room to pour the potion into his mouth.

"You have freed us, and we are eternally grateful, wherever you go, we will go with you, we will be your shield, your sword, and your escape" thousands of voices I heard in unison behind me, turning and watching as the thousands of Enderman bowed.

Smiling sadly, I remembered Amanda, I may not have been able to save her, but at least I was able to save these beings from their eternal prison. Although I frowned, the portal I had passed through was too small for the dragon to pass through and, I remember, I never asked him his name.

"What is your name, by the way?"

"My name is Endoxes, nice to meet you, Azrael."

"Likewise, End, you know, I don't know how I'm going to get you out of here, the portal I made isn't big enough for you." I commented uncomfortably, to which the Enderman enlightened me that, "No problem at all, create another portal structure commensurate with Endoxes' size, and we'll make it work."

Well, that settled things, so without wasting any time, I headed for the portal I had entered through, ready to let my new friends see the sun of the day.
