Chapter 19 - Chapter 19. Hunting giraffes

Cyrus is lying in the grass with two cheetahs, and they have been tracking the injured giraffe for almost two days.

Fillet and Eero have lost interest in this giraffe. With their strength, they are enough to seize prey from other predators. Moreover, unlike lions and cheetah, they eat carrion and can always find something to fill their stomachs. Cyrus and the two small cheetah can't do that. They can only eat fresh prey. Even if they are lucky enough that no other predators come to seize it, they have to discard the remaining prey. This picky behavior of cheetah is also one of the reasons why Cyrus and the two small cheetah often go hungry.

The giraffe was not seriously injured, but the wound was difficult to heal. More than ten red billed starlings were clinging to the giraffe, constantly pecking at the blood oozing from the wound. The little bird that used to help the giraffe remove parasites has now become a true vampire.

The giraffe walked into the locust forest, and Cyrus and two little cheetahs stopped temporarily. It was not easy to catch this giraffe.

Calvin watched Cyrus transform his form, busy in the grass, tilting his head and asking, "Dad, are you really going to catch that giraffe?"

"Yeah." Cyrus wrapped the thorns he had found around the tough grass stem. Perhaps he needed a hard withered branch to grow more

"But dad said, 'Don't easily provoke big prey.'"

Cyrus put the grass stem aside and walked up to Calvin. He casually grabbed Calvin into his arms, rubbed the cheetah's ears, and said, "This is dad's fault. I only wanted to protect you before, not to lose your lives due to ignorance and recklessness, but I didn't tell you to learn how to be flexible. Buffalos can kill lions, but don't lions still catch them to eat?"

"Oh." Calvin licked his paws, a bit confused, but Little Cheetah firmly believed that as long as Dad said it, it was right!

Cyrus picked up Charlie again and looked at the amber eyes of the cheetah. "And you, do you understand what dad said?"

"Well," Charlie moved his ears and said, "Dad, are you really going to catch a giraffe?"

"Yeah." It seems that he was talking to Calvin just now, and this little thing didn't listen at all?

"That's great!" Charlie's eyes lit up and his front paws rested on Cyrus' back of hand. "Dad, grab it! That guy has a lot of meat on him!"

Cyrus: "..."

Okay, he's completely certain now that he does indeed raise cheetahs. He felt deeply guilty for thinking about domestic cats before.

The trap was set and the hunting plan was rehearsed several times in his mind. While two cheetahs were playing with a rope, Cyrus discovered a very serious problem. He could drive the giraffe to the place where the trap was set, but what about the follow-up work?

Or should we let the two little cheetahs drive giraffes? Will giraffes take a glance at them?

"Headache..."

Cyrus sat on the grass, holding Calvin and Charlie in his arms. The two little cheetahs had been starving for a while, completely incomparable to their fluffy appearance during the rainy season. Pinching Charlie's small paws, Cyrus began to weigh which approach was less risky. If possible, he would definitely not want the two cheetahs to be in danger.

"Yo, beauty, long time no see."

Upon hearing this sound, Cyrus turned his head and his smile was even brighter than the sunshine, which startled Parzin and Jarlow who happened to come by to say hello.

Aren't you fooled by the sun?

Cyrus looked at Parzin and Jarlow, his eyes shining brightly. He really came up with whatever he wanted. This is a strong labor force that obviously delivers to his door! Look at this figure, this strength, he has seen these two brothers topple an adult horned antelope with his own eyes!

Cyrus's gaze was too hot, and Jarlow couldn't help but take a step back and leaned in Parzin's ear, saying, "Brother, isn't this evolutionary breed interesting to me? We only love cheetah girls..."

Parzin gave Jarlow a cold glance, and Jarlow immediately stopped talking. Just a joke, as for what? Furthermore, since the cheetah girls are all chasing after each other, is this evolutionary species so special?

Parzin walked up to Cyrus, and the two little cheetahs remembered Parzin's scent. They obediently huddled in Cyrus's arms and silently looked at the male cheetah.

"Can you help me?" Cyrus said to Parzin with a smile, "It's not in vain. I'll treat you to meat afterwards! Eat as much as you want."

Hmm?

Parzin and Jarlow looked at each other, once again suspecting that this evolved male cheetah had really been sunbathed.

It has been proven that Cyrus's brain is not faulty.

Five cheetahs are lurking in the long grass, and the trap has been set. All you need to do is drive the giraffe to the designated location and make him stumble.

Cyrus originally wanted to personally drive the giraffe, but was vetoed by both Parzin and Jarlow.

Jarlow looked at Cyrus's small body and sneered, shaking his tail. "This is what men should do!"

Parzin stepped forward and licked Cyrus's ear, as if to say, "Don't cause trouble."

Cyrus watched as the brothers approached the giraffe silently under the cover of the grass. It took him a long time to recover and move his ears. Why did Parzin lick him? Are they so familiar? Furthermore, what do these two brothers think of him as "this is what a man should do"? Although he keeps two little cheetahs, he is a man, pure!

The silent complaint abruptly came to an end under the eager gaze of two cheetahs. A pure man or something, licking his ears or something, was immediately thrown out of nowhere. The world is vast, and raising a son is the greatest!

Cyrus was lurking next to the trap with two little cheetahs. In order to catch the giraffe, Cyrus put in a lot of effort. Not only did he dig the trap, but he also wrapped a grass rope with grass stems and thorns. Once the giraffe escaped the trap, he could use this rope to knock down the big guy!

"Dad, here we are, here we are!"

Calvin exclaimed excitedly, Cyrus slapped him back and tightened the grass rope in his hand.

The injured giraffe was chased and driven away by two cheetahs. Once it deviated from its escape direction, Parzin and Jarlow rushed over to intercept it, forcing the giraffe to flee in the direction they had planned. The giraffe was enraged and stopped running. He turned around and defended himself with his front legs. As long as he was kicked hard, even a lion could be kicked to death.

Facing such a giraffe, Parzin and Jarlow seemed helpless. Cyrus watched anxiously and simply told the two small cheetah to bite the grass rope and hold a dead branch tightly, jumping out from the grass. While the giraffe was concentrating on defending against Parzin and Jarlow, they jumped up and thrust the dead branch deeply into the giraffe's - yeah - butt...

Well, this move is indeed a bit...but it is very effective.

Giraffes also have a temper and dignity. He wants to slaughter the cheetah that dares to poke his butt!

Cyrus turned and ran towards the trap. The giraffe chased after him relentlessly. Seeing that it stepped into the trench-like trap, it stumbled and almost fell. Cyrus simply took the grass rope from the small cheetah's mouth, conveniently tied one of the giraffe's legs, and the thorns on the grass rope pierced the giraffe's skin. The anesthetic effect caused the giraffe's strength to gradually lose. Cyrus turned his head and shouted to Parzin and Jarlow, "Hurry up and help!"

The two brothers suddenly changed their form, and Parzin rushed forward with Cyrus to pull down the giraffe. Jarlow rushed to the head of the giraffe and bit it on its neck.

Cyrus impatiently wasted time and picked up a stone and threw it on the head of the giraffe.

The giraffe's skull cracked, and it didn't even struggle before swallowing. Jarlow foolishly bit the giraffe's neck, blinking. Did a cheetah do this?

Parzin wiped away the blood splattered on his face, transformed back into a cheetah, and lay on the ground to recover his strength.

Cyrus bit on the back of the giraffe, tore open its skin, and called for two cheetahs to come and eat.

Calvin and Charlie haven't had such a great time eating meat. This giraffe is like a small mountain to the two cheetahs. As Charlie said, it's really "a lot of meat"!

Unfortunately, they can only have one meal.

Cyrus and Parzin brothers also opened up their stomachs. Although Parzin and Jarlow brothers don't live as tightly as Cyrus and two cheetahs, it's also difficult to catch too big prey during the dry season. This giraffe can be considered a sumptuous feast for all five cheetahs.

Of course, the smell of blood always attracts unwelcome visitors. Vultures have already begun to hover in the sky, and predators on the grasslands are also swaying. However, cheetahs don't care. This prey is big enough, as long as it's not a sudden appearance of a pack of lions and hyenas, they have enough time to fill their stomachs.
