Chereads / The Red Rose and The Black Rose / Chapter 49 - Chapter 33

Chapter 49 - Chapter 33

She was happy… Really happy…

After all, after so long… Her mot-! Her Queen! Lady Dont-Say-My-Name, her creator, who had become a queen, yes, gave her a quest~

No, she was getting too excited, and it made 'her' squirm.

Calming her thoughts, she took a deep breath, feeling the oxygenated blood refresh her being.

She looked down at her feet, and saw her personal mount.

Won in the 'gacha' by the Supreme Lord NoobMaster99, the level 95 Dragon was unique in all of Titania.

Having adopted the name Siegfried after being given to her mistress, Lady Dont-Say-My-Name, to then be passed into her possession as her personal mount.

Sure, the level difference between her and the Dragon was quite large, but just like that, the Dragon would serve as the 'real' problem in case of an invasion, with her simply enhancing the Dragon's capabilities, and acting as a support unit.

Of course, not counting the swarms of other Draconic creatures, traps, and Mercenary NPCs.

Either way, she was very happy, even if the 'mask' covering her face looked expressionless.

She quietly felt the presence of her 'pets', and even the new pets.

An endless swarm of creatures flying behind her, in a perfect formation.

She kept the total number in her mind without ever losing count, as well as checking that her pets remained in such formation.

If one, even the new ones, broke the formation even a little, such pet would be eaten by the others.

She looked further down, towards the surface.

She hummed to herself, seeing the castle that was supposed to hold the 'queen' of this country.

There was more than one reason why she was deployed to help this country.

After all, they say Queen Draudillon Oriculus is part Dragon.

Remedios Custodio opened her eyes, and instantly, basically driven by her instincts, she stood up suddenly, searching for her sword at her waist while looking around.

However, the sword was not there, and she did not recognize what she saw…

It was the inside of a tent…

Remedios blinked, trying to remember what had happened…

She remembered the attack of the Demons… Their enormous number and strength… The destruction… Calca screaming for help…

"Calca!" She cried out in concern, getting up from what acted as a bed.

However, as soon as she tried to stand, her legs trembled painfully, and Remedios fell under her own weight, moaning as she looked at her legs.

In fact, her left foot had several bandages on it, while her other leg was barely better…

She growled, noticing that she did not have her armor either. Just some simple clothes, which implied that someone had stripped her, and put this kind of dress on her…

She felt the bandages under the dress, and could at least forgive a little that it was to check for wounds…

How did she end up unconscious? Parts of her mind were blurry… Like what happened before the attack, what are the 'Nine Colors', and other things that made her head hurt, but didn't seem important.

She groaned, trying to slowly get up, not wanting to hurt her feet.

If she made her injury worse, it would only delay the time she could return to duty.

She had to go back to Calca-!

… Why?

She blinked.

Why did she have to go back to Calca?

Something felt very wrong. She didn't remember who Calca was... She didn't remember why she knew her... She didn't remember what relationship they had... She only knew her name... And that, for some reason, it was normal for her to be by her side...

She frowned, sitting up, and looking at her trembling and calloused hands...

"Ah! Sister, you woke up!"

Remedios heard a familiar voice, and saw the source of it.

She blinked, and her throat trembled.

"...W-Who...? Sister?... A-Are you my sister?..." She couldn't recognize the face of the now frozen woman.

Hm… She had to think about a number of things, as her position was not something to be taken so lightly. Dont was her superior in everything, both in the guild, Titania, Deorum Regnum, perhaps even abroad in the New World. But she was still superior to everyone except Dont in the technicality of the Demon being the Guild Master, so she had to be somewhat cautious with the things she did.

The most important thing for now was the war with Re-Estize, if she took into account everything she knew about them, Gazef Stronoff was the strongest man in that Kingdom, but he did not mean any kind of danger to her or Titania. Still…

It was very plausible that, with Titania, the Adventurer, in that place, a Player or a Dragon Lord could appear.

Why? Well, in Re-Estize she was given an invincible image, of someone who has never lost, and they do not believe that she will lose. If any of the higher-ups of Re-Estize have contact with any Player, it is possible that they could help them defeat her, since even Gazef Stronoff knows that he is not capable of defeating her.

Meanwhile, some Dragon Lord could appear due to that same situation, or if not, simply by seeing her fight… Because she was aware that her reputation as Titania had gone too far, so much so that even her exploits resonate in the Draconic Kingdom, and even the Slane Theocracy.

Some of them could also be watching… Mainly the Theocracy, given the loss of many important individuals that they have in their 'Scriptures', could even want to recruit her…

And she knew well the danger that this entailed, since it was the Theocracy who used a World Class Item against Dont a long time ago after discarding all possibilities… But being able to get close to that same power was a good thing, she could even serve as a spy and collect information about the Scriptures.

Although the priority would definitely be that World Item… Dont had described it as an oriental style dress with Dragon engravings, so if she saw it, she would be able to recognize it.

Although that was already going too far… The war had not yet started its first battle, but she was not going to deny that all of this was possible.

"My God…" She sighed taking a glass of juice and drinking a little.

Beyond the possibilities, it could… She had read stories about ancient wars, a decisive method to not make a fight last days and take countless lives… A fight one, the best warrior of each side in a fight to the death. And the warrior who wins, would bring victory to his side without the need for more deaths…

It was certainly a good possibility, she had victory assured, and she should not show many skills as she would do against hundreds of thousands of enemies, it would reduce the loss of lives and also reduce the possibility of leaking her own information to anyone who is watching.

She was going to discuss this with Dont, especially under the possibility that the nobles still think themselves too much, and continue the war even after Stronoff's death... In the meantime...

She looked at the note on her table, opening it and reading its contents.

Achernar had done a great job making a new total mapping of Carne, he even made a very efficient aerial and topographic map, which would help the reform of all the houses and streets of Carne to make them of stone, as well as extending the wall.

It was one of the promises that was given to Carne, along with the 90% tax reduction, free movement throughout the territory of Deorum Regnum, the protection of their people in a special way as it is a border place, and the financing of Nfirea's alchemical projects.

Everyone had left such a negotiation very happy, and it seemed that she expected a pleasant future with them, much more for Titania thanks to the potions discovered.

Without a doubt, everyone was doing a good job.

She looked at the clock and noticed that it was already late afternoon, and she got up quickly, today she was going to have a picnic with the others~

Draudillon Oriculus, the Queen of the Draconic Kingdom, waited silently on her throne.

After all, today, the military support promised to her by this Deorum Regnum would finally arrive.

The recognition of the country in exchange for military aid was somewhat rushed, and a second envoy was sent to be willing to alter some details with Queen Draudillon if she was willing.

In the end, the contract was somewhat warped, to more or less lengthen the duration of the military support, and delay Titania's arrival.

After all, Deorum Regnum was suddenly subjected to a war with Re-Estize, which was unforeseen, and therefore, required the Paladin of White, Titania.

Draudillon was quite stressed by the possibility of military aid taking too long, or not being enough…

But in the end, she could at least have some hope by 'arranging' who would go on military aid.

'Duchess Surtyr', Captain of the Deorum Regnum Air Force Unit.

Personally, Draudillon was a bit unsure of these 'air forces', after all, it sounded like they were more of a bunch of Magic Casters using [Fly] and carrying archers on their backs while firing [Fireball].

It didn't sound bad, as such a bombardment would really help a lot, but she was still unsure of the lack of Titania, and the fact that the Beastmen themselves had air forces made up of Eaglemen mainly, and Batmen for night raids.

But at least they should, according to the promise, last until Titania is available again.

She sighed, making the Prime Minister look at her sideways, somewhat worried.

She couldn't even afford to ask for some alcohol or release her complaints to the Prime Minister, as they were with soldiers and some other officials present…

And finally… Someone entered.

"Your majesty! T-The forces of Deorum Regnum…! T-They have arrived!" The servant stammered, eyes wide and very agitated.

Draudillon frowned slightly, now somewhat intrigued by the reason for the servant's shock. Perhaps there were quite a few…

"I see… Tell their captain, Duchess Surtyr Philla Salamdr, that she is welcome, and to, if possible, meet us here so we can discuss her arrival and the matters that entail." Draudillon said with a somewhat majestic bearing, genuinely sorry for the somewhat neglected state of the castle.

But it was inevitable. The Draconic Kingdom was a poor country at this point… It was truly fortunate that Deorum Regnum did not demand payment… As the country barely had any gold to keep its economy running…

The lack of money search made the Theocracy look really bad, who ask for exorbitant prices for the usual military support… Which was now barely offered…

What's more… If it was possible, perhaps she could establish trade networks with Deorum Regnum if everything went well, that would even allow her to have possible access to Nyx, who several sources gave as someone of enormous importance, capable of carrying very large relics wherever she went. Some said that it was even more beneficial to have her than the adventurer Titania, at least in the long term, due to all the contacts the noble had.

But she did not have the option to be picky. She stood firm and majestic when she heard the door open.

"Duchess Surtyr Philla Salamdr enters Her Majesty's hall." A soldier said, stepping aside to allow the Queen to see her ally…

She was a tall woman, indeed. And the first thing that was noticeable about her, was her hair. Fire-red, tied into a ponytail, but with two strands falling down the sides, and a large one covering her right eye, with the ponytail being so long that it reached down to her knees. She even had two gold earrings in the shape of diamonds, and a gold brooch on the strand that covered her eye.

What was visible of her face… She was a complete beauty. Even Draudillon froze for a moment, seeing that ruby-red red with a strangely yellow pupil, and the bright cherry-like lips.

She wore a white shirt, with a dark red tie, a black trench coat with red lapels with gold details, black leather gloves, a black belt with a gold buckle, and gold chains holding some sort of bottle with something similar to… Magma.

She had a strange skirt, which on one side was long to mid-thigh, and on the other side, was indecently short even. It was only excusable because of the black scale pants and slight gold details, which reached to the pair of black heels with more gold details.

On her shoulders was a long grey cape with gold plates, tied only by a gold chain in front of the wide but rather modest chest, with a kind of black leather addition from which two long red cloths with vertical black stripes sprouted.

And surrounding her neck, almost like a scarf, a small Dragon made of gold, long, like a lizard, surrounding her neck… It looked… Almost like it was… Alive… No… Surely it was some kind of 'conscious' magic object or something…

{Surtyr Philla Salamdr PNG}

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Queen of the Draconic Kingdom, Draudillon Oriculus. I am Duchess Surtyr Philla Salamdr, representing Deorum Regnum. I come to support you in your war for survival against the Beastmen who are assaulting the south of the Draconic Kingdom. All in the good name of the Deorum Regnum, and her majesty, the Marble Queen, Nitocris Hatshepsut Divinus Deorum." The woman in red said in a calm, but imposing tone. She was undoubtedly of noble complexion, her accent and attitude said so, quite polite as well.

But… What caught her attention the most was that feeling of inferiority that she conveyed to her… She didn't know if that was how someone should feel in front of a truly powerful person, not like Cerebrate… At least comparatively. Perhaps Cerebrate would feel that way if it weren't for the unpleasant aura he emitted when he looked at her so much… But that was how Draudillon felt right now…

"I see. Welcome then, Duchess Surtyr Philla Salamadr, to the Draconic Kingdom. We assure you of the best treatment we can afford to give you… For I hope you understand that our country is in a great crisis due to the attack of the Beastmen. Take the time you need to prepare yourself and your men, but please understand that, with each passing second, more citizens of the Draconic Kingdom are devoured by the Demihumans…" Draudillon nodded towards Surtyr, really wanting to maintain this fragile superficial alliance between the Draconic Kingdom and the Deorum Regnum along with her fragile pride. Of course, she did not hesitate to discard such arrogance if necessary, as she could not save her kingdom with that attitude, but she should not give in so easily at the first contact either.

She really did not believe that they would become good allies just because they had recognized the country, especially due to their own interests, however justified they may be.

And the last thing she needed was to offend in any way a high-ranking official of the Deorum Regnum, who would help neutralize the Demihuman advance...

"Don't worry about giving luxuries to me and my soldiers, Queen Draudillon, your people need that money more than we do, as the Queen of Deorum Regnum has already said that she does not need any payment. Also, since Deorum Regnum is at war with Re-Estize, we came more than prepared, as we want to finish off their enemies as quickly as possible before returning. In short, you do not need to give us luxuries, food, money or water, or even time, as we are more than ready. I only require your permission to move my troops through your territory to the south." Surtyr said, bowing slightly to the Queen.

Draudillon blinked for a moment, but cleared her throat.

"H-Hm… I see… If you insist… In that case… As the Queen of the Draconic Kingdom, Draudillon Oriculus, in the name of my divine blood that descends from the great Brightness Dragon Lord, I grant you absolute permission for military mobilization as long as you do not abuse this permission, nor force my citizens to leave their homes unless strictly necessary… Feel free to ask for anything you wish if you need it at any time… And I give you my blessings and greatest wishes for luck on your journey…" Draudillon nodded, feeling somewhat obligated to simply grant absolute Right of Passage to foreign troops… But she couldn't show herself weak, so she imposed at least some logical restrictions that even a country they had a bad relationship with should be forced to accept unless they want to lose credibility with other countries and start a conflict with the Draconic Kingdom. It's not like the Draconic Kingdom could survive any kind of invasion at this point.

However, she was still surprised by this refusal to care, or even borrow supplies… It would make sense that they brought their own supplies, but no army would refuse to take as much as they could if it was offered to them, at least not normally… And to set off immediately… They had just arrived… The journey was supposed to have been 1 week by horse… And mobilizing a large army would take even longer…

"I appreciate your permission and blessings, Queen of the Draconic Kingdom Draudillion Oriculus. You will receive news from my messengers in the coming days." The Duchess exclaimed…

Draudillon nodded after a second of coming out of her musings and understanding what the redhead said.

"Of course. In fact, we should be more than grateful… On behalf of my entire kingdom, thank you…" The Queen gave a slight bow, causing the Prime Minister to let out a surprised sigh, while the room fell silent.

After all, a king, or queen in this case, represented the entire country. And if the ruler bowed his head, it meant that the entire kingdom was showing a hint of submission to someone.

"We will be waiting with open arms for your messengers and any good news that comes with them." Draudillon finally blurted out.

"In that case, I take my leave for today, Queen Draudillon Oriculus. May your Gods bless you, I hope that the relationship of the Draconic Kingdom and Deorum Regnum will be favorable from now on." Duchess Surtyr said, finally letting out a gentle smile, before turning around and walking towards the exit.

The soldiers at the door opened them, letting the woman out before closing them behind her, leaving the Queen alone in the place.

Draudillon collapsed on her throne, clutching her temples.

"Ugh… What a stress… … Did you bring me some of that 'vodka' from the north?" The '8-year-old girl' asked towards the Prime Minister.

Nitocris Hatshepsut Divinus Deorum, the Marble Queen… At least that was how she was known.

Superbia, the Archduchess of Titania and Commander of the G.O.D.S. Army hummed as she finished 'permanently' creating all the summons her Ladies allowed her for the day.

Sure, they were relatively weak summons, as the stronger ones didn't seem to be possible to maintain permanently no matter how many corpses there were.

However, relatively weak meant level 60-70, and with Superbia's buffs, they could reach the power of a level 80 in certain cases.

In short, an indestructible army against Re-Estize.

Normally, her 'summoning moment' took a few hours. But now, until further notice, she had to wait at least 10 hours to start, as the Maids and other members of Titania had to 'absorb', or do whatever it is that they do according to their races, the souls of the dead.

And thanks to the massive amount of dead after the bombing that the Supreme Ladies did in Baharuth, there were looooooooots of corpses. And therefore, loooooooooooooooooooots of experience.

The 'celebrations' were no longer stopping raining down on Titania.

After all, the Maids, level 1 NPCs in a series of 50, were leveling up all the time thanks to the constant consumption of souls.

Only the 'new acquisition', 'Balam' could not do it, for obvious reasons.

On the other hand, the Maids of the Oni race had complications to level up and were still level 1 at the moment, since they could not absorb souls, or 'corrupt' them as the Fallen Angels did.

However, between Bachelory, Quasimodon't, Carmellitian, and all the other geniuses on Titania, with the exception of Superbia, as she was too busy, they were looking for ways to turn the experience of such bodies into something that both Onis and races that couldn't gain experience in the same way as Devils, Fallen Angels, Angels, and Undead on Titania could do. She saw little of it really, as she had other things to do. One of the options was to look into, for example, putting the experience into a kind of bottle in liquid form.

Oh, and of course, the Supreme Ladies, while they could help lower beings like Bachelory and the like speed up the process with their superior intellects, shouldn't bother with the problems of beings like them.

After all, how could they make the Supreme Ladies of Titania waste any of their perfect, divine thoughts, saliva, and words on explaining to fools like them how to solve a problem like this?

It was obvious that the Supremes expected the NPCs to figure it out themselves. Why else didn't they give them a way to make all Titanian inhabitants gain experience regardless of race before?

Superbia nodded, looking at the Great War Mastodons, level 68 summons like Beasts similar to Elephants, only three times larger, and armored to the teeth, literally.

Superbia glanced at one of the Arthurian Platinum Knights, who acted as her aides, even if they were level 70 summons.

"Take these to the war pens." She dismissed without much interest in the knight itself.

The summon bowed, before the Great War Mastodons followed willingly.

That was how their summoner wanted it.

Superbia looked at the remaining 567 corpses that weren't used yet, and shrugged, looking at another knight of the 10 that were normally with her.

"Have Mr. Pulpón take the remaining bodies when he has time." She ordered, before using one of her spells, and turning ethereal and floating upwards, ignoring her summons, who quickly began to mobilize. One of them to carry out her order, and the others to follow her as best they could.

Superbia advanced through the Marble Palace as if it were her backyard, knowing every corner after having reviewed the layout over and over again by having walked around several times to familiarize herself, and well, having the same plans of the palace at hand.

The Insectoid hummed as she reached one of the balconies, where a group of 10 Heel Edge Maidens and an Elite Assassin Butler were waiting for her, summons of level 60 and 64 respectively.

They were efficient as discreet bodyguards. After all, that was their goal as such visually harmless summons. 10 beautiful maidens, and a gentle old butler.

And so, Superbia sat on a silver chair, with a cup of coffee in her hand, looking out over 'her' kingdom from 'her' balcony.

Camilla sighed as she watched Kelart Custodio, surely the strongest priestess in the Holy Kingdom, sob while covering her face.

After all, her sister, Remedios Custodio, the White Color, the strongest Paladin in the Kingdom, had awakened after arriving unconscious at the camp.

And unfortunately for Kelart, Remedios was amnesiac.

She didn't remember who the Holy Queen was, she didn't recognize Kelart, nor did she remember that she even had a sister.

It was fortunate that the woman hadn't forgotten her combat ability apparently.

Camilla sighed again, not really wanting to waste her time watching Kelart cry.

Instead, she began walking to the center of the camp.

A large crowd was forming.

She frowned as she saw her husband talking about something.

She tapped one of the paladins on the shoulder, and he looked at her, quickly recognizing her and saluting.

"What's all this about?"

"A-Ah. Sir Baraja proposed to make a small group travel west, so we can go and ask for help from Re-Estize or the Theocracy. Even if it was just to take in refugees." The Paladin explained as best he could, before looking back at Pabel.

He himself was looking into Camilla's eyes, and before the Paladin could say anything, the Ranger interrupted her.

"You will stay here, Camilla." He said seriously.

One would normally think that was said with indifference, coldness, and even malice from how cold and dead Pabel's gaze was.

However, Camilla knew her husband. He was just like her daughter in many ways.

She had grown accustomed to those eyes that seemed to emanate bloodlust and endless malice, as well as Pabel's normally monotonous tone. She knew he wasn't ordering her… He was begging her…

He was worried, and Camilla herself was worried too…

She sighed, and raised her hands, as if in surrender, earning a look and posture that didn't change in the slightest from Pabel.

However, that was only if it were just an outside observer. Camilla could see how Pabel's gaze softened, in the slightest and strangest way that one could call softening under that gaze, and the Ranger's posture relaxed a little.

Therefore, Camilla could only sit on a log, and watch in silence, to see who would leave and who wouldn't. To see which positions should be replaced and which shouldn't.

However…

"I'll go!" Someone shouted from outside the small crowd.

And Kelart Custodio was there, a mess from crying.

Pabel blinked, and frowned.

"... You don't look fit to go."

"... I don't care. I'll go. I know who to ask for help." Kelart said with some confidence, not looking too intimidated by Pabel's murderous gaze. Camilla must have praised that.

The Black Color narrowed his eyes.

"Say it then."

"Deorum Regnum." She said firmly and confidently, more like she was placing all her bets on the 'help' she was saying.

The people present blinked.

"Deorum… Regnum?" Pabel tilted his head…

And in fact, even Camilla did. No one knew about this 'Deorum Regnum'.

"It's a… New Kingdom… In the former territory of Baharuth… A few days ago, an… Angel came to Kalinsha. An Angel far more powerful than even the best Priests and Clerics can summon." Kelart explained… Something worrying. Something strange. Something no one understood…

Pabel frowned again.

"And how come I didn't know about this?" He questioned. "I'm from the Nine Colors. Even if it is a national secret, I should be informed of it."

"… Because it happened on the same day the Great Wall fell, I estimate." Kelart argued, causing Pabel to take a step back from the Priestess' ferocity. "The Angel sent came asking for recognition from the Holy Kingdom of Deorum Regnum, which possesses the Adamantite-class Paladin, who scared away the Komodo Demon, Titania. We asked for some time to think about it, and the Angel left… But we couldn't even discuss the decision due to the attack on Kalinsha just now… And then a second attack, which ended with the death of… Her Holy Majesty." Kelart said with difficulty, as if in pain.

Pabel frowned for long seconds… Maybe even whole minutes… But he finally sighed.

"… Fine. You can come… But someone will have to take care of Captain Remedios."

"I will…" Camilla raised her hand.

Her husband looked into her eyes, and there wasn't much more discussion as he looked away, intimidated by his own wife.

Camilla wanted to smile proudly at being able to make her husband look away. Even if it was now somewhat useless because of his still-recovering leg, she still had power over him~

However, Kelart was another story, who glared almost murderously at Camilla. If not really murderously…

"I-I'll go too!" Someone else raised a hand from outside the crowd.

And now the loving husband and wife pair had to find themselves in a difficult position.

After all, it was her daughter, Neia, who had raised her hand.

Black Abyss walked through the halls of Titania towards the throne room. She had a large basket in her hand, with a white cloth covering its contents.

She approached the double doors, and opened them.

"I hope you're ready~!" She said excitedly towards the trio present.

Dont, the Queen of Titania, looked at the Paladin with a bright smile, as she quickly tapped a few things on the digital panel displayed in front of her, and closed it.

"Of course~" Dont said happily, stepping down from the throne while Bachelory beside her, bowed silently alongside Achernar. Of course, one bowed simply but deeply, and the other bowed in a more oriental and honorable manner.

The Demon Queen skipped over to Black Abyss, while the duo of NPCs followed her calmly.

"So~ What do you have planned, sweetie~?" Dont asked towards Black Abyss, stopping in front of her, and with her hands on her hips.

"A family picnic, as you know~ Although not everyone would be able to be there, unfortunately… But for now, the four of us can spend a few moments together in the Seelie Forest~" Black Abyss said, looking at Bachelory and Achernar, who looked somewhat surprised, as they were just hearing about such a thing.

And taking into account that Black Abyss had called this meeting a 'family picnic'… The picnic wasn't the striking thing, but the word 'family'. Well… Certainly they were their children in a way if the Prime Minister thought deeper about the term 'creation', and if the relationship that was so rumored between the maids was true, if what he saw was true…

He glanced at Achernar out of the corner of his eye, who also looked at him in the same way, because in a certain sense, they would be stepbrothers…

The thought felt… Strange… Bachelory would have to think about it in private, and even have to meet with Brynhildr and Joffrey to talk about it. From Brynhildr's personality, the 'woman' was surely not even aware of it. And Joffrey surely had all the rumors in her ears in a way thanks to her position and duty, but she was one of Titania's brightest minds in the social realm, so she could surely have figured it out. Only, she was not given any duties that required her to leave her residence. Just things like social plans, laws, administration, and so on. The usual stuff, but added to Deorum Regnum.

"My Lady, there is no need to drag us lowly servants into such important activities." Bachelory said with a bow.

After all, above all the happiness of accompanying the Supreme Ladies, and being considered the 'son' of his Queen and Creator, and stepson of the other Supreme Lady left on Titania, there was an unwavering desire to wish his Ladies well.

And what could be worse than the possibility of the NPC duo ruining their Ladies' 'family picnic'? What if their presence ended up making them uncomfortable? What if they did something insulting? What if they accidentally got in the way?

Lots of doubts arose in Bachelory's head, which Achernar began to understand a little on his own.

Black Abyss looked at Bachelory with a somewhat worried face…

"You don't want to go…?" She asked towards the Prime Minister, then looking at Achernar as well. "It wouldn't be a family picnic if it's just Dont and I, it would just be… A picnic…" She said in an almost sad manner.

Bachelory felt a knife stab into his 'heart', and he almost writhed from the non-physical pain.

"N-No, my Lady, not at all. On the contrary. I'm sure both Achernar and I would be more than honored to accompany you. However, we do not wish to be a nuisance in any way… Ahem… But, if you really wish, of course, we will obey. Right, Achernar?" The Doppelgänger let out another bow, passing what was left of the ball to the Dragonoid.

"We will do everything the Supremes want with the greatest of happiness. But… We know that the Supremes are in… Well… A relationship…? Wouldn't we be a nuisance…?" The Dragonoid hesitated, because, if they were being invited in the beginning, it must have been because the Supremes wanted them, but… They also didn't want to take away time in which the Supremes could interact and form something beyond the rumors that the Maids spread.

Dont blinked, and blushed, a little, before coughing into his hand.

"Ejem. W-Well. There is truth in the first. However, I really doubt that you are of any trouble. You are free to come, and even invited. After all, your presence is more than appreciated and enjoyed, Achernar, Bachelory~" Dont smiled at the duo.

They looked at each other for a moment, then looked back at the Queen.

""As you desire…"" They said in unison, bowing to the Queen.

Dont chuckled at the NPCs' nonsense, while Black Abyss let out a less 'repressed' laugh, but covered her mouth to maintain a certain elegance.

"Let's go then~" Dont said to Black Abyss.

"Yes~" She smiled.

The two of them held hands, and looked at the pair of NPCs.

"Ahem. If I may ask, my Ladies. Where will this picnic be, exactly?" The Doppelgänger dared to ask.

"Obviously somewhere nice, haha~" Dont laughed.

Black Abyss smiled at the Prime Minister, and spoke.

"Let's go to the Draconic Court Garden~"

The beloved Golden Princess, Renner Theiere Chardelon Ryle Vaiself, sipped her tea as she looked out of the balcony of her room.

Once the whispering ended, she smiled gently…

"I see… Fine then. Tomorrow I will 'disappear' thanks to your help~ And please~ Don't hurt my pup too much~ The deal with your Queen was that he wouldn't be hurt~" Renner spoke to 'no one'.

Another whisper sounded softly in the princess's ear.

"Fufu~ Of course~ I have the sacrifice~ You'll just have to carry it too~" She chuckled, in such a cute way, that it wouldn't seem like she was talking about something so disturbing.

The Golden Princess smiled towards the sky, before hearing a knock on her door.

"Your Highness, Blue Rose is here for you."

"Ah~ Perfect~ Let them in~" Renner smiled at her maid, only for her to bow and say 'Of course'.

The usual formalities.

Thanks to the servants 'she' kindly lent her, Renner was able to incite this little visit from her friend Lakyus, the leader of Blue Rose, the Adamantite group.

After all, she was sure that Blue Rose's Magic Caster, Evileye, would be a problem regarding her 'kidnapping'.

Therefore, she would have them go far away~ Veeeery far away~

But she couldn't force them. At least that much she agreed with 'her'.

She had to make them want to stay away for as long as necessary.

She also properly calculated the various other 'kidnappings' in Re-Estize, and almost let her true smile slip out as she watched her 'friend', Lakyus, walk through the door, followed by her team.
