Chapter 12 - Victory

With a deafening scream, Fero unleashed his spell, channeling all his energy into a devastating attack. "Explosive Punch times 100!!!" he bellowed, his fist connecting with the Ancestor's spine as he knelt before him.

The impact was cataclysmic. The ground collapsed in on itself, the entire forest vanished in the inferno of heat and shock. Shockwaves rippled out from the epicenter, causing earthquakes and clearing the clouds from the sky.

Fero screamed as the force of his attack reached its zenith, culminating in a colossal explosion. A nuclear-sized blast consumed everything in its path, obliterating the Ancestor and the entire forest, sending Fero hurtling miles away like a cannonball, lost in the chaotic aftermath.

With an astonishing velocity, Fero soared through the sky, covering vast distances in mere moments. The landscape blurred beneath him as he streaked through the air, propelled by an immense force. After hurtling backwards for what seemed like an eternity, he abruptly descended, plummeting toward the earth below.

Ten heart-pounding seconds later, he crashed with a deafening impact into an unsuspecting, african looking village nestled near the forest. The velocity of his descent was such that the very ground shook with the force of his landing.

The collision was cataclysmic. The wooden huts that had stood for generations were reduced to rubble in an instant, crushed beneath the weight of Fero's arrival. The peaceful inhabitants, going about their daily lives, were caught completely off guard by the sudden devastation.

Amidst the chaos and destruction, Fero lay sprawled amidst the wreckage, surrounded by the carnage he had unwittingly caused. Blood and debris littered the ground around him as he struggled to regain his bearings. With great effort, he reached for a nearby boulder, using it as support to pull himself back up.

Confused, Fero surveyed the scene of devastation around him. Blood was everywhere, Innocent villagers lay strewn across the ground, their bodies mangled and broken beneath the weight of collapsed homes, shattered rocks, and splintered trees. Children, women, men, everyone died at the same time without being aware of it.

Fero's hands trembled as he examined them, opening and closing them in disbelief. "D-Did I do this...?" he muttered, his voice barely audible over the din of chaos and the pounding of his own heart.

But then, inexplicably, a twisted sense of exhilaration seized him. A manic laughter bubbled up from within him, echoing off the ruined structures and lifeless bodies. "AMAZING!! HAHAAHAH!!" he bellowed, his laughter mingling with the sounds of destruction.

With a jolt, realization pierced through Fero's haze of confusion and exhilaration. The memory of his confrontation with the ancestor flooded back into his consciousness, stark and vivid.

Quickly composing himself, Fero launched himself up towards the ancestor, leaving the people he accidentally killed behind without a single thought or guilt.

As he soared through the sky, his gaze couldn't help but linger on the once majestic forest that now lay flattened and desolate beneath him. Where towering trees once stood proudly, there remained only a vast stretch of barren earth, obscured by a haze of dust and debris. The mountains, once grand and imposing, now bore deep scars where Fero's power had hit them.

"Goddamn, how did I do all that?" Fero muttered to himself, his voice tinged with disbelief as he surveyed the devastation he had wrought.

Finally arriving at the heart of the forest, Fero's gaze was drawn to a colossal, shadowy figure cast upon the earth below. With a sense of curiosity, he descended towards the eerie silhouette.

As he touched down upon the barren ground, Fero's eyes shined brightly as he realized the true nature of the shadow before him. It was the unmistakable outline of the ancestor, etched into the very fabric of the earth itself, reminiscent of the haunting shadows left behind by the nuclear tragedy in Japan.

As he admired the destruction he had wrought, a green notification abruptly materialized before his eyes.

As Fero scrutinized his status, a flicker of confusion crossed his features. "Didn't the system raise me to the B rank? Why is it lower now?" he mused aloud, his brow furrowing in consternation.

In response to his inquiry, the fairy materialized from the screen, her demeanor noticeably subdued, dark circles framing her tired eyes. "I temporarily raised your rank, Fero," she explained, her voice tinged with weariness. "But now it has reverted to its original state. However, due to your confrontation with Loran, you've acquired some of his XP, resulting in a rise in ranks."

"Ah aight, but what kind of fucked up skill did you use? You gave me a two-rank boost for a few minutes, while you lost two ranks permanently. That's unfair," he remarked, his tone tinged with disapproval as he regarded the fairy with a critical eye.

"It's alright if it's for you, then it's okay," the fairy responded, her voice carrying a hint of comfort as she offered a faint smile.

Fero extended his hands delicately, snuggling the system within his palms. Bringing it closer to his face, he peered into her luminous, ethereal eyes with a gentleness that contradicted his usual demeanor. With a genuine smile playing at his lips, he spoke softly, the sincerity in his voice unmistakable. "Thank you..."

The fairy's cheeks flushed slightly at his heartfelt gratitude, her gaze flickering away in a moment of bashfulness. "N-No problem," she stammered before vanishing into the digital ether, leaving Fero alone with his thoughts amidst the wreckage of the forest

Taking a moment to inhale deeply, Fero sought solace in the clarity of the sky, a vast expanse now made visible by the devastation he had wrought. Thoughts whirled in his mind, a tumult of possibilities and desires clamoring for attention. "Now where? There are so many things I want to do!" he mused aloud, his voice carrying a lot of excitement.

Then, a memory surfaced from the depths of his consciousness—the village he had once aided upon his arrival in this world. A pang of hunger gnawed at his stomach, prompting Fero to murmur, "I'm hungry," before propelling himself skyward with a powerful thrust, the force cracking the ground beneath him as he ascended.

Navigating through the air with practiced ease, Fero soared towards the cave where he had first encountered the ancestor, a landmark etched into his memory by the trials and tribulations he had faced. Pushing past the familiar surroundings, he finally arrived in the familiar runt down village.

As Fero hovered above the heart of the village, a radiant glow emanated from his fingertip, conjuring a small orb of light that soared into the sky before erupting in a dazzling display, illuminating the entire village with its brilliance. The spectacle drew the attention of every villager, prompting them to emerge from their humble abodes and gaze in awe at the celestial display unfolding before them.

Upon beholding Fero suspended in the air, bathed in the warm embrace of sunlight, a collective gasp escaped their lips, followed by a chorus of reverent whispers. "You are back! The Den from 6 months ago!" the village chief exclaimed, his voice echoing with adulation as he and the villagers prostrated themselves before Fero.

"Yes..." Fero responded with a tone of godlike assurance, his voice echoing with authority. Yet, in a swift transition, he adopted his usual demeanor, issuing an order with a touch of arrogance, "Yo, I'm hungry as fuck, bring me some food, would ya?" With that, he gracefully descended to the floor.

With a sense of purpose and unity, the villagers mobilized swiftly to fulfill Fero's request, their communal efforts infused with a spirit of hospitality and reverence. The chief's seat was ceremoniously transported to Fero's side, where he settled himself with an air of anticipation, awaiting the feast that was being prepared in his honor.

Amidst the bustling activity, a sturdy wooden table was brought forth by the able-bodied men of the village, positioned before Fero with care and precision. Despite the rustic surroundings of the muddy village, the scene was imbued with an aura of regality, as Fero sat poised at the head of the table, his presence commanding respect and admiration from those around him.

As time passed, the savory aroma of freshly cooked dishes wafted through the air, mingling with the earthy scents of the village. With eager anticipation, Fero watched as the wooden plate laden with delectable fare was presented before him.

As the villagers gathered around the table, their faces etched with reverence and anticipation, the chief stepped forward to present Fero with the dish prepared in his honor. "Bipi with grass, my lord," the chief announced, his voice tinged with pride. "A dish reserved for special occasions in our village."

Fero's expression twisted with dismay at the sight before him. "Grass? Are you fucking kidding me?" he exclaimed, his frustration palpable. "And this raw, shitty meat? What kind of fucking food is this?" he demanded, his tone laced with irritation.

The chief remained silent, his confusion evident as he tried to decipher Fero's request. Observing the chief's perplexed expression, Fero sighed in resignation. Without further ado, he seized a piece of meat with his bare hands and redirected his magical energy, transforming his palm into an impromptu oven.

With practiced finesse, he cooked the meat to perfection before throwing the grass in the muddy ground and indulging in his meal alone.

As Fero savored the last bite, he let out a satisfied burp, then settled into a relaxed position, legs crossed, his gaze fixated on the expanse of the sky above. Despite the people kneeling around him, he remained absorbed in his own thoughts.

"Lets dig in the main dish...," Fero mumbled,"After destroying the village back then, I gained some XP, soooo..." Fero's voice trailed off as he cast a sly glance towards the chief, his grin taking on a wicked edge. His eyes, now aglow with a fiery red hue, shimmered with anticipation and excitement, hinting at the dark intentions brewing within...
