Chapter 14 - Princess

He started wandering aimlessly through the landscape, pondering his next move. "Hmm, where to next?" Then, he recalled the words of the ancestors and decisively selected his destination. "Let's head to the small kingdom the ancestors mentioned. What was it called again... Ah yes, the Sambo Kingdom. Maybe I can even attend the Sambo Academy!" Excitement tingled through him as he began flying westward toward his chosen destination.

As Fero soared through the vast expanse of the skies, his keen eyes scanned the sprawling landscapes below. The rugged terrain stretched out beneath him, adorned with towering mountains that seemed to pierce the heavens. Alongside him, majestic dragons and a myriad of exotic creatures danced through the air, adding to the surreal spectacle.

Despite the breathtaking sights, Fero's gaze lingered on the seemingly endless stretches of emptiness broken only by sporadic clusters of small villages. His heart yearned for something more, something grander than the mundane scenes passing beneath him.

Perhaps one of those diminutive settlements concealed the elusive Sambo kingdom of which the ancestors spoke. Yet, he couldn't bring himself to halt his journey for what appeared to be no more than a dilapidated hamlet. With resolve, he pressed on, his legs releasing even more magic against the wind as he searched for a more promising destination.

Then, in the distance, a glint caught his attention. A carriage, flanked by a retinue of several hundred heavily armored knights, traversed the landscape below. Fero's curiosity piqued as he watched from above, his mind racing with speculation.

"What treasures or secrets deserve so much protection?" he mused, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "Maybe it's something beyond imagination, something worth the risk." With newfound excitement coursing through his veins, Fero made his decision.

Halting his flight, he floated in mid-air, fixated on the convoy below. "Well then," he muttered to himself, his grin widening, "there's only one way to find out."

With the speed and power of a meteor, he descended, touching down silently hundreds of meters from the convoy.

Landing inside a forest, Fero wasted no time. Like a jet, he dashed towards the rocky path the convoy took.

As he closed in on the path, a surge of adrenaline coursed through his veins. With a swift bound, he leaped high into the air, his shadow covering the entire convoy before landing in front of them. His sudden appearance halting the march in its tracks.

The knights, vigilant and alert, drew their weapons in unison, their eyes locked on the diabolical figure now standing proudly before them.

The air crackled with tension as the knight, his armor gleaming in the bright sunlight, thrust his sword forward, his voice booming through the courtyard, "Who are you!"

Fero stood his ground, the knight's aggression palpable as he tightened his grip on the hilt of his weapon. With a nonchalant demeanor, Fero raised an eyebrow, meeting the knight's gaze squarely. "I'm Fero," he replied, his tone casual yet tinged with curiosity. "What's got you all so worked up?"

The knight's eyes narrowed, suspicion etched across his face. "Leave immediately, or we shall resort to force!" he commanded, his voice resonating with authority. The tension in the air momentarily lifted as those gathered scrutinized Fero, finding nothing remarkable about him, just an ordinary figure.

As the commotion subsided, a sudden movement caught everyone's attention. A slim hand reached out from within the carriage, gripping the edge firmly before a figure gracefully descended from its confines.

"Princess! Return inside at once!" An elderly woman's voice emanated from within the carriage, laden with urgency.

Fero's gaze shifted from the knight to the newly arrived figure, and his eyes met those of the princess. She appeared to be around his age, her delicate features illuminated by the glow of the sun. With skin as fair as snow and eyes as bright as sapphires, she seemed almost ethereal, a vision of otherworldly beauty.

"A princess, huh?" Fero mused, initially feeling a twinge of disappointment that it wasn't a grand treasure or something similar.

However, his disappointment quickly shifted as he put together a plan to utilize her, a mischievous grin forming on his lips. "And from which kingdom does this princess hail?" he asked, his tone tinged with playful curiosity.

The princess, however, seemed less than pleased by Fero's presence. With a petulant pout adorning her lips, she stepped forward, her eyes narrowing in annoyance. "You're in my way, commoner!" she exclaimed, her voice a mixture of entitlement and frustration. "I wish to return home immediately!" she demanded, her tone spoiled yet tinged with a hint of anger.

"Let's go home together then." Fero said, hoping he wouldn't need to force her.

A collective gasp echoed through the assembly of knights as Fero's words hung in the air. The princess, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, averted her gaze. "H-How dare a c-commoner p-p-p-propose to m-me?" she stammered, her voice trembling with a mix of surprise and shyness.

An enraged knight surged forward, his indignation palpable in every step. "How dare you insult the princess?!" he bellowed, his voice filled with righteous fury as he swung his sword.

Fero instinctively took a step back as the blade whistled past him, narrowly missing his face. With a resigned sigh, he muttered, "Bro, you ain't getting any pussy doing all that." With a swift flick of his middle finger, he blew the knight's head to smithereens.

The entire head of the bitchless knight's blew up, all the brain and blood flying all over the princesses body.

The princess, overwhelmed by shock and horror, crumpled to the ground, her entire body trembling uncontrollably. Blood and flecks of flesh coated her, mingling with her own trembling form. She lay there, stunned and unable to comprehend the grisly scene unfolding before her, the traumatic sight etched into her mind forever.

The air was charged with tension as each knight tightened their grip on their sword, a collective determination coursing through their veins. With a synchronized movement, all hundred of them surged forward, their armored forms cutting through the air as they charged towards Fero, their battle cries echoing across the battlefield.

"Dieee!!" Their voices thundered, a declaration of their intent to vanquish Fero.

But just as their swords were about to make contact with Fero's calm face, a sudden interruption shattered the imminent clash. The princess, her voice shrill with urgency, abruptly interjected, her cry piercing through the chaos.

"STOPPP!!!" Her command reverberated through the tumult, momentarily freezing the frenzied scene.

In that suspended moment, Fero's calm facial expression betrayed a hint of annoyance at the interruption.

And in response to the princess's cry, the knights obeyed her command almost instinctively. With precision bordering on surreal, all hundred swords came to an abrupt halt, mere inches away from Fero's neck, their lethal intent suspended in mid-air, poised but restrained by the princess's plea.

Confusion hung thick in the air as one of the knights dared to voice the question on everyone's mind, his tone laced with bewilderment.

"W-Why?" he stammered, struggling to comprehend the sudden reversal of their aggressive stance. "He killed one of us!"

"H-He shall become one of my h-husband candidates!" the princess exclaimed, standing up abruptly and quickly running back inside the carriage, awkwardly clutching her dress.

The knights lowered their sword and walked back into formation around the carriage leaving the dead knight on the floor without burial.

"You are lucky, you did not die today, commoner." one of the knights sneered, his disdain evident as he spat at the ground beneath Fero's feet.

Fero, however, seemed unperturbed by the knight's aggression. With a smirk playing on his lips, he retorted, "Hahahaha, no... Your princess is smart, she almost lost her entire kingdom today." His words, laced with a hint of mockery, left the knight momentarily speechless.

Fero chuckled confidently, striding past the knights with an air of nonchalance. With a swift movement, he jumped inside the carriage, his laughter echoing behind him.

Within the confines of the carriage, nestled in a scene of elegance, sat the radiant princess alongside her aged maid. The interior exuded an aura of refinement, with delicate fabrics adorning the space and a subtle fragrance lingering in the air.

Upon Fero's uninvited intrusion, the maid's demeanor shifted abruptly. Her eyes flashed with indignation, and she wasted no time in voicing her outrage. "How dare you enter the princess's carriage?!" she spat, her tone sharp with reproach. In her distress, she called out to the knights for assistance, but to her dismay, there was no response.

"L-Leave him," the princess murmured, her voice barely above a whisper, as she sat by the window, her gaze fixed on the horizon.

Fero, ever observant, couldn't help but notice the trembling of her delicate hands. "You scared?" he asked with mocking tone.

The princess shook her head slowly, her eyes still fixed on the distant landscape. Then, with a deliberate slowness, she turned her head to meet Fero's gaze.

Fero found himself completely overwhelmed by the sight before him. The princess's face, bore a wild grin amidst the spatters of her fallen knights' blood. "I am excited," she declared, her words punctuated by the warmth of her breath in the cold air.

Both Fero and the old maid accompanying them were taken aback, their gazes lingering on the princess in astonishment. It was a side of her the old maid had never witnessed, a revelation that sent a chill down her spine.

"Crazy shit," Fero muttered, his hand moving to push back his unruly mane of hair. "What's your name?"

"Amelia," she replied, her voice carrying an intensity that seemed to pierce through the solemn air of the carriage. As she locked eyes with Fero, her gaze seemed to delve deep into his very soul.

Unable to bear the sight of the princess's smelly and blood-streaked form any longer, Fero swiftly lifted her into a princess position and leaped from the carriage, "Kyaa~"

"Well, Amelia, let's go take a shower; you look like shit," he remarked, his face blank.

The escort was immediately in an uproar at Fero's audacity. "How dare you address the princess so informally?" one of the guards exclaimed, while another demanded, "Release her at once!"

Ignoring the protests, Fero leaped with considerable force, the ground below visibly cracking.

Reaching the skies with the pirncess in hand, Fero scanned the landscape for a suitable spot. Eventually, his eyes landed on a majestic waterfall cascading into a crystalline pool below.

Caught in the moment, the princess couldn't help but admire Fero's strength, a gentle smile gracing her lips as she looked upon his face, "You are no commoner..." The princess mumbled quietly...
