Chapter 7 - Challenge

The ancestor, though taken aback, acquiesced with a nod of assent. "As you wish, though I request prior consent for such alterations," it replied stoically before vanishing alongside the system, leaving Fero alone in the cavern's vast expanse.

"What the fuck, man! Come out and teach me shit!" Fero screamed at the top of his lungs.

He was then given instruction telepathically to stretch and prepare his body and mind for massive trauma.

...

...

And thus his training arc started.

In the initial stages, the focus was on physical conditioning. Day after day, Fero alone in the cave, immersed himself in rigorous workouts, guided by the wisdom of his ancestors. From lifting weights to mastering calisthenics, he dedicated himself to a myriad of exercises aimed at honing his physical prowess. With each passing day, he felt the subtle shifts within his body, as his strength surged from an F+ to a formidable D+ rank.

Even thought his rank doesn't seem much, compared to a normal human with no magic he was like a living tank. No amount of them could stop his push.

Yet, it wasn't merely his physical might that surged; his agility soared to new heights, with his maximum jumping capability and running speed far surpassing conventional limits. In earthly terms, he outpaced even the renowned Usain Bolt by twofold, demonstrating an extraordinary blend of power and swiftness.

With just a mere month of intense strength training, he shattered the boundaries that confine ordinary humans on Earth. While he might appear invincible to the average person, he remained far from reaching his full potential, still considered extremely weak by the standards of this new world.

As the first month drew to a close, Fero felt a surge of confidence coursing through his veins. It was then that he issued a bold challenge to his mentor, the revered ancestor whose guidance had shaped his journey thus far.

"Fight me, bitch!" Fero's voice echoed through the cavernous space, his eyes burning with determination.

in his tiny form, the ancestor sat upon the floor alongside the system fairy, casting a contemplative gaze upon himself before shifting his attention to Fero, raising a quizzical brow. "As you may see, I am incapable of fighting you in my current form."

Fero's demand cut through the air like a blade, directed fervently at the system, his voice tinged with frustration. "System! Restore his state right now!" he bellowed, his impatience palpable.

"As you command!" responded the system with an impish grin, eagerly giving in to Fero's request. It seemed that the system harbored a giddy anticipation, looking forward to the opportunity to witness Fero's overbearing arrogance receive its punishment.

Suddenly, the ancestor began to grow, his form expanding as he crossed his arms, a seismic rumble accompanying his overwhelming weight. The ground quaked beneath him, a testament to his formidable presence.

Gazing down at the diminutive figure of Fero, now resembling little more than an insect in comparison, the ancestor smirked with a hint of superiority. "Hmph, I shall lower myself to your level, my pupil," he remarked, before shrinking down to match Fero's size.

Clad in his full suit of armor, the ancestor stood at a distance, motionless for a moment before erupting into a sudden roar. "Come forth, my student!" he thundered, his voice echoing with challenge.

Enraged and fueled by his temper, Fero's face twisted with fury as he let out a primal scream, charging recklessly towards his teacher.

With a swift leap, Fero launched himself towards the ancestor, aiming a ferocious roundhouse kick towards his teacher's face. But the ancestor, as Fero's right legs moved closer to his face, he just moved his head slightly backward and thus evading the kick.

In a lightning-fast countermove, Loran Elbet Zamer seized Fero's outstretched leg, and in that instant, Fero realized the dire predicament he was in, a sinking realization dawning upon him.

The ancestor, akin to a relentless beast, slammed Fero onto the unforgiving ground, shattering the sturdy rocks beneath him. But that wasn't the end. Fero, resembling a squirrel, found himself pulled back up by the ancestor, only to be forcefully slammed onto the floor repeatedly. With each successive slam, the floor crumbling.

With each punishing impact, Fero's body bore the brunt of the assault, his body contorted and broken, blood cascading from his battered frame. Blood spewed from his battered frame as bones shattered and flesh tore. One of his eyeballs fell off, his ribcage exposed amidst the chaos. Limbs twisted in unnatural angles, every strike from the ancestor's wrath seeming to increase in ferocity.

At last, when Fero lay motionless in the ancestor's hand, his once proud physique reduced to a broken shell, Loran stopped his slamming. With a disdainful gaze, as though Fero were nothing more than a mere rat, the ancestor tossed him aside without a second thought.

Fero lay sprawled on the shattered floor, lifeless, with blood gushing from his mouth and broken nose. His breathing was loud yet sluggish, each breath a struggle as he slowly succumbed to the cold embrace of death upon the unforgiving ground.

"I heard stories from the little fairy of what you did to her..." he declared with a tone of stern disapproval, "How dare you harm a creature who is here to aid you? This is the consequence of your actions, a punishment for harming one of your own mentors." He said clearly as Fero laid on the floor, unable to hear a thing but his blood flowing from his body.

Fero, grappling with consciousness, unleashed a desperate plea. "ARGHAAAAAA!! SYSTEMM! HEALLL MEE!!" he cried out, his voice echoing with anguish.

However, the system, observing from a distance, hesitated momentarily, a twisted grin betraying her inner turmoil. "What if I say no?" she taunted, relishing in Fero's vulnerable state.

Fero couldn't believe his ears. "WHAT!!?" He screamed, the entire cave echoing his despair.

But the massive amount of trauma inflicted on him overwhelmed his senses, and he succumbed to unconsciousness.

Yet, his sleep was short-lived, as the system swiftly intervened, casting a potent spell that enveloped Fero in a radiant green glow, binding together his shattered body with magical regeneration.

After a few moments, Fero's eyes snapped open, and he sprang to his feet with startling agility.

Even without processing what happened, he lunged toward the ancestor, delivering a powerful right hook with all his might.

But again his attempt failed as Loran effortlessly stopped his punch with just his index finger, causing a massive shockwave to ripple out behind him. Dust filled the air, obscuring the space, and before Fero could even comprehend that his punch had been stopped, he was struck with a powerful backhanded slap.

The force of the slap sent three massive, round shockwaves rippling across the cave, and Fero's entire jaw was torn away, along with his body being flung backward. He collided with the hard, rocky wall and crumpled to the ground, his lifeless form twitching and unable to understand what was happening.

With his jaw torn away, Fero's screams took on a strange and uncanny tone, akin to the haunting wails of a dying wolf bereft of hope. The sound echoed through the cavern, a stark reminder of his anguish and despair, reverberating with a chilling resonance that seemed to pierce the very soul.

The ancestor, standing amidst the settling dust, regarded the fallen warrior with a mixture of awe and disdain. "How can one be so pitiful yet so ferociously determined? Truly ecstatic!" he mused aloud, his voice carrying a note of respect.

As Fero uttered those agonizing cries, the system swiftly flew to his side, its worried demeanor evident as it began to heal him once more, reattaching his jaw.

"F-Fero, stop now!" The System warned anxiously. "I can't heal you forever! You'll die if this continues!"

Consumed by rage and madness, Fero rose to his feet, grabbing the System with pure anger and throwing her aside, "Don't fucking interfere." he spoke with a tone tainted by demonic fury.

And as he pushed the System aside, Fero leaped toward the ancestor, but in a different position. Instead of his head leading the charge, his legs faced the ancestor's face. A look of curiosity crossed the ancestor's features as Fero's legs hovered mere inches from his face.

With a wide triumphant grin twisted with madness, Fero shouted at the top of his lungs "AIR LEGS!!"...
