Synopsis
In a distorted reality, Frecitannia's Empire conquered Japan entirely, depriving its people of their values and heritage. The nation and its citizens were stripped of their pride and are viewed as disposable slaves trimmed down to second class citizens. Lucius Von Imperius, the offspring of the Japanese princess and the Empire's ruler, unexpectedly acquires a Nanomachine that gives him the power to manipulate time to some extent. Using his power, he becomes the notorious terrorist and criminal called Eon, determined to bring an end to the oppressive Frecitannian regime through his intelligence and strategic smarts. Engaged in warfare, deceit, politics and brutality, he struggles as a teenage boy balancing an ordinary life with friends, family, school and the need to conceal his true identity for the safety of the people he cares for. (This novel draws a lot of inspiration from the popular anime and manga series Code Geass. I decided to create it because I couldn't find another work of fiction that captured the essence of the anime, so I wanted to be the first to do so. While there may be similarities, I aim to bring my own unique perspective to the story, as a masterpiece like Code Geass cannot be replicated.) I am only a novice writer, so I don't anticipate producing anything above exceptional.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Frecitannia Empire

Year 2056 ME.

This year marked the beginning of the Mechanical Era, a time characterized by devastation and disorder. Led by the Supreme Lord of the Frecitannia Empire, the empire launched a full-scale war against Japan. No, it was more like a massacre.

The Frecitannia Empire was the pioneers in developing exosuits, which are armors designed for warfare and combat, serving as highly effective killing machines. These exosuits were resistant to most forms of firepower, rendering normal bullets ineffective, while also enhancing strength and speed and providing a variety of additional abilities.

With this, Japan stood no chance of defeating the empire. Countless innocent citizens were lost in the war for reasons that remain unclear.

"Why are you behaving this way? What do you gain from such actions?!" A woman of Japan angrily questioned a man hidden in the darkness. Adorned in diamonds that covered his royal attire from head to toe, with impeccably groomed dark hair and a young handsome face, he was none other than Lysander Von Imperius, the Supreme Lord of the Frecitannia Empire.

The woman was also significant. She had lengthy golden hair flowing down to her waist, bright blue eyes resembling a clear morning sky. She wore a yellow flowing gown that fluttered gracefully with her every movement. Her complexion was fair and her facial features gentle. She possessed undeniable beauty and was recognized widely as the Princess of Japan, Elisabeth Von Imperius, adopting her husband's surname.

The Royalties appeared to be having a heated discussion in a vacant room illuminated only by the fiery glow of a distant war. "I implore you, not only as the Supreme Lord but also as your wife, to end this war immediately!" she shouted, tears streaming down her face. However, Lysander remained indifferent, merely observing her with a lifeless gaze.

His gaze was chilling, empty eyes devoid of any emotion. It seemed to pierce right through the princess, causing a shiver to run down her spine. It was a gaze that made her feel as though she were being watched by something inhuman, something that had no capacity for mercy or compassion.

Then it touched the princess, causing her pupils to shrink and her to shake her head while taking slow steps back. She was completely sure, there was no uncertainty. "You... you are not the man to whom I pledged my loyalty all those years ago," she declared, pointing her finger at him.

"You're the devil!"

He reached out his arm and ripped off the princess's chest piece, exposing her breast. She cried out, but he showed no concern as he grabbed and squeezed them, belittling her.

"Remove your hands from me, you wicked creature!" she screamed. The princess desperately tried to free herself from his grasp, but the man's grip was too strong for a small woman like her. It was hopeless.

Witnessing the despair in her eyes a chessey grin formed on his face. Observing her hopelessness and hearing her cries of pain seemed to greatly excite him. "You foolish woman, those meaningless metaphors are worthless. I will use you to bear my child and then discard you like the Japanese filth you are!" he shouted angrily.

Tearing off the princess's dress, Lysander Von Imperius had forced himself on her. He had a sadistic grin on his face as he did so, becoming more thrilled with each powerless cry she made.

However, they were unaware that an eye was observing them through a gap in the door of the room. A child watched in terror, frozen in fear. This child was the second offspring of the princess and the Empire's Supreme Lord, named Lucius Von Imperius. "Mother?!" he pleaded.

Year 2066 ME

Japan 10 Years after the Invasion of the Frecitannia Empire...

The room was dimly lit except for a beam of light illuminating two players engaged in a game of chess. The room silent, with the only sound being the movement of chess pieces as the players engaged in a tense match.

A nobleman, no younger than forty, sat on the left side of the table with a comical mustache and a round belly resembling of a pig. He wore extravagant jewelry around his neck, some of his teeth had been replaced with gold. His attire was made of the finest fabric available, though his shirt struggled to contain his large stomach.

Sitting across the table was a teenage boy who appeared to be no older than 18. He wore a stylish all-black uniform from head to toe. His long black hair was neatly groomed, reaching below his eyes. His expression was serious, the nobleman dare not make eye contact. His brown eyes remained mostly still, only occasionally glancing at the pocket watch on his wrist.

The antique pocket watch glimmered, its intricate engravings telling a story of a bygone era. The hands ticked steadily, echoing the passage of time that had worn away at its once pristine surface. The delicate chain swung gently around the youmg boy's wrist, a relic of a forgotten past.

The two competitors have been playing for nearly half of an hour and as the game neared its end, it was clear who would emerge victorious. The noble was sweating profusely, while the young opponent remained calm and composed. This led the noble to react in a state of panic and make irrational decisions, ultimately playing into the younger opponet hands.

The boy goes by the name Lucius Albright, a student at Fenelon Academy and of mixed Frecitannian and Japanese heritage. Unlike many teenagers his age who pursue sex, drugs, and women, he prefers to gamble his money by challenging conceited nobles to a simple game of chess.

Lucius saw the chessboard as a battlefield, with each piece representing a soldier in a war strategy. Every move was crucial for securing a win. Even a single mistake could lead to defeat.

"Logic over Irrationality." This is his constant mindset when playing chess.

"The mind is a potent instrument that, if misused, can lead to our failure, but if used properly, it can be beneficial in any circumstance." With this in mind, he visualized the board as if it were an actual battlefield before his very eyes.

His pawns advanced like foot soldiers sacrificing themselves to protect the more powerful pieces. The knights galloped across the board, outmaneuvering the white pieces with their tactical prowess. The bishops struck from afar, using their diagonal movements to target the enemy pieces. The rooks stood tall as the heavy artillery, dominating the board with their long-range attacks. And the queen, the most formidable piece on the board, moved with grace and power, eliminating any white piece that dared to challenge her.

The black pieces closed in on the white king, the tension in the air was palpable. Each move was met with a counterattack. Each sacrifice with a strategic advantage. The black pieces calculated every possible outcome, anticipating the white pieces' desperate attempts to defend their king.

With every tick, the hands of the pocket watch moved forward marking each moment and each minute that passed. The boy continuously glanced at the clock watch with a subtle smile. Perhaps he was already sure of his victory.

His pocket watch had already ticked to the hour. A satisfied smile spread across his face. "That's checkmate," he declared confidently while making his last move. His voice was calm but also carried a hint of intensity like rough waves in the ocean.

The white king was checkmated, surrounded by a sea of black pieces that had outsmarted and outmaneuvered their opponents at every turn.

The nobleman was shocked by the fact he had been defeated by a young boy. His jaw dropped, so surprised that he couldn't speak properly, only managing to produce incoherent sounds like if he had suddenly forgotten how to articulate words.

The boy got up and picked up his bag from the ground. "You can keep your money, I don't want it," he told the nobleman before walking away. The nobleman was furious, slamming his fists on the table and scattering the chess pieces. His teeth were clenched, and his pride was even more wounded.

Lucius felt content with his work. This would mark the seventh noble he had defeated this week consecutively. "Just another noble that deserves to be stripped of their position," he thought with satisfaction.

"Lucius! You're back already?"

A man who appeared to be around 25 years old waved and called out to the boy as he exited the room. The man had a scruffy beard and unkempt hair but beared a striking resemblance to the Lucius. He stood in front of a plain black car that had no obvious branding, but the most distinctive feature was that it was hovering above the ground.

The man goes by Caden Albright and he is the older brother of the boy. Lucius's face brightened slightly upon seeing him. "This opponent was the simplest one yet. Just another arrogant aristocrat," he remarked as he approached, with his head held high and standing straight.

Caden pressed his hands against the car door, a scanner read his fingerprints before the car unlocked and the door automatically swung open. This type of technology was common in the present era.

"Alright then, let's head home before it gets too late. Aunt Sherly would be furious if she discovered I was letting you gamble," he indicated. Caden always maintained a cheerful expression, but his smile faltered slightly when he considered his aunt's potential reaction.

Lucius couldn't resist a small laugh. "What? Are you at your age afraid of aunt Sherly?" he taunted as he entered the passenger side of the car, opposite the driver's side. Caden shouted, "Hell yea! That woman is scary y'know!"

The car hovered above the ground, smoothly moving along the roads resembling an airplane. This was not the only peculiar occurrence, it appeared that the entire country of Japan had transformed into a futuristic technological playground.

Thanks to the Empire, Japan's technology has advanced to unimaginable levels. The cityscape is a dazzling display of futuristic architecture, with skyscrapers reaching towards the sky, adorned with holographic billboards and neon lights that illuminate the night sky. Flying cars zip through the air, seamlessly navigating the bustling streets below.

Every corner of the city is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, from automated robots serving food in restaurants to virtual reality entertainment centers where people can escape into fantastic worlds. The streets are lined with solar panels and wind turbines, harnessing renewable energy to power the city.

However, amid the technological marvels, signs of control by the Empire are evident everywhere. Frecitannian flags hung up proudly while Japanese flags were crossed out. Frecitannian soldiers in exosuits patroled the streets, enforcing strict laws and regulations. The Japanese citizens are treated as second-class citizens in their own country, forced to conform to French culture and language.

Despite the advancements in technology, the city feels oppressive and dystopian, with a sense of unease lingering in the air. The once vibrant and proud culture of Japan has been overshadowed by the influence of a foreign power, leaving its people feeling lost and marginalized.

Lucius observed all of this and more through the car window. He looked out with a critical eye toward the empire he despised, gripping his pocket watch tightly and narrowing his eyes in disgust.

Caden noticed this and couldn't resist mentioning, "You still have that ancient thing? Let me buy you a new watch for your birthday, I promise you-" but before he could say more, Lucius interrupted him and promptly stated, "No."

Caden glanced over with surprise at Lucius's quick response.

"That was disrespectful, I'm sorry. But this is the only thing mother left me and if I lose it, I'm losing the final memory she entrusted to me," he explained, holding onto the pocket watch tightly while reminiscing about the moment his mother gave it to him on his sixth birthday.

Caden glanced over with a furrowed brow and said to Lucius, "I need to talk to you about Mom." However, he got interrupted by a blinding light and the repeated honking of a loud truck horn.

A massive red semi with its headlights glaring like angry eyes, barrels down the darkened highway towards the car. The truck's horn blares deafeningly, a warning that goes unheeded as the two vehicles hurtle towards each other at breakneck speed.

The impending collision was inevitable, the metal-on-metal impact and shattering glass a terrifying sight in the black of night. The truck's brakes screech in a futile attempt to stop, but it's too late.

The truck careened recklessly onto the wrong side of the road, appearing to be fleeing from something. Caden attempted to turn away but it was pointlesd. Both vehicles spun off the road and violently crashed into a nearby construction site.
