"What? But-" Amaia stammered, unable to come up with a response.
"Do you have any problem sharing a room with me? I thought you would jump at the chance." Adriann raised her eyes at her.
"What! No. I mean, you said you-" Amaia immediately shook her head but stopped in the middle of the sentence when he narrowed his eyes at her.
"Do you want to sleep in separate rooms and let the whole family find out about our marriage being fake?" His words were filled with mockery.
"Our marriage isn't fake." When he called their marriage fake, Amaia retorted, feeling a gush of anger inside her.
"Says who?" Adriann looked at her challengingly.
"Me and everyone." She challenged her back, making Adriann stare at her coldly. His demeanour slowly turned back to indifference.
"Are you still drunk?" His abrupt question made Amaia frown in confusion.
