Xavier seemed to have just returned from a meeting, dressed impeccably in a sharp and elegant uniform. The golden patterns added an extra touch of nobility to his figure, making him exceptionally handsome when dressed in formal attire.
Pushing open the door, he discovered a Persian cat that had willingly walked into the trap, lazily sitting on the bed flipping through pages like a delicate doll. As he entered, she hopped down from the bed, and her gaze casually flickered towards his collar.
Xavier, being exceptionally clever, immediately understood her intention, and a deeper meaning filled his smiling eyes.
So, it was a Persian cat on a hunt for prey.
He sat down, cradling her in his lap, and nonchalantly unbuttoned his uniform. "Does Your Majesty have something on your mind?"
Asking knowingly.
Cunning fox.
Cassie silently criticized.
"Tired," she murmured softly, playfully tugging at his sleeve.
Thinking that her desire for blood was not profound, she found herself unable to resist the surge of hunger when she got close to his skin. At that moment, she could barely restrain the desire to reveal her fangs and lightly sniff at his neck.
More like a cat.
Xavier tossed his uniform jacket aside and started unbuttoning his shirt absentmindedly. The little girl in his arms, however, couldn't hold back any longer. In a few swift moves, she opened his collar, and with his silent consent, her pointed fangs pierced his skin.
Being bitten by her wasn't painful; it was more like being scratched by a kitten's claws. It felt more like playful teasing.
Half-squinting, Xavier reached out to rub the fuzzy top of the girl's head. Her hair was of excellent quality—smooth, soft, never tangled. It felt like fine silk, and he enjoyed the sensation.
Cassie drank a few sips and felt satisfied. Leaning against him, she nuzzled contentedly. Xavier touched her head and said softly, "Darling, look up."
His kiss descended.
Unlike the previous gentle intimacy, this kiss was extremely aggressive, as if he wanted to devour her completely. His hands trailed along her clothes to her smooth back, soothing her with deliberate slowness, causing shivers to run down her spine.
Uncomfortable with the kiss, Cassie furrowed her brows slightly. Instinctively, she tried to pull away, but was pressed down, firmly held in his embrace.
A sharp pain on her lips.
He had bitten her lips.
Her skin was already sensitive, and as blood seeped from the lip, he gently licked it away. For a moment, she couldn't distinguish whether it was pain or pleasure.
When consciousness returned, she found herself lying on the bed, clothes slipping off her shoulders.
The man was patient, coaxing, "Relax a bit, my dear."
But even after a long time, there was no response.
The little girl had fallen asleep.
Could she fall asleep like this?
Really indifferent.
Xavier touched her face, feeling a sense of being used and discarded.
This girl was really naughty.
He lay down beside her, took her back into his arms, and savored the memories of the moment.
So sweet.
Tiny and sweet, as if infused with honey, even her blood was a sweet fruity fragrance.
He was really growing to like this little treasure more and more.
Later on, it seemed like the floodgates had opened, and Cassie stayed in Xavier's room, unwilling to leave. The maids, aware of the relationship between the queen and the prince, watched with understanding eyes, observing silently. Even Odysseus, Xavier's right-hand man, found it unbearable. Since the queen resided in Xavier's room, he couldn't appear by the prince's side whenever he wanted, and he felt like a transparent vampire, invisible to all.
If he did appear, he had to pretend he didn't exist, as they were all feeling sour.
Who would've thought that the prince, known for his ruthless methods, would act like this with his queen?
Xavier was waiting.
Waiting until the time was right to start the cooking.
One afternoon, holding the fragrant and soft girl in his arms, he squinted lazily. "I have some matters to attend to and need to leave for two days. Odis will stay with you."
Having reached this point, all the nobles were anticipating his reaction—thus, he had to leave.
Even if there were no matters to attend to, he couldn't be here.
Unfortunately, he couldn't take his little rose with him.
Cassie, accustomed to having someone accompany her, felt bored when Xavier left his room. Once boredom set in, people tended to stir up trouble.
So, when Nelson handed her an invitation, she thought for a moment and agreed.
Not because the two had any acquaintance. It was just that the days were too dull, and if she didn't find something interesting, she would spend all her time sleeping.
"So, you are Queen Elena," Nelson smiled elegantly and gracefully, "You're truly adorable, quite different from what I had imagined."
Cassie was slightly surprised.
No wonder the invitation could be sent to the vampire castle—Nelson himself was one of the eight vampire families.
Another vampire mingling in the human world. Not only that, he had a beautiful identity in human society, known for his romantic escapades.
He was curious, "Are you coming alone?"
Cassie asked in return, "Otherwise?"
Indeed, she had come alone since Xavier had matters to attend to.
His smile grew even more pronounced.
"This is my favorite estate," he introduced, "Your Majesty, feel free to explore. I wish you a delightful time."
With that, he left.
Cassie noticed that roses were quite popular in the human world lately. Even Nelson's estate was filled with various species of roses.
But she couldn't deny that he was good at making girls happy. The little surprises in the estate's design would make any girl praise its delicacy. Even the blood elixirs were presented in beautiful ceramic vessels, completely different from the cold, high-stemmed glasses.
He left enough space for her, and Cassie enjoyed her leisurely stroll in the estate.
Until she saw a familiar figure.
A gracefully poised woman.
— Princess Karada.
It seemed like he noticed her, turned around, and flashed a provocative smile at Cassie. Frowning, Cassie quickened her pace to catch up.
After a few steps, Karada vanished from her sight.
She realized something was wrong—there was a strong dizziness attacking her brain, gradually disconnecting her consciousness.
