Prince Killian stared at me, his cold eyes boring into my teary ones. "You are wrong, Princess Amelia," he corrected me. "I only played with you because you seduced me. It is all your fault," he said, his voice hard and unyielding.
"Just think about it," he mused as if everything was just a joke to him. "How could I, a devil, resist a beauty like you when you willingly lured me into your bed? What was I supposed to do? Stay away?"
His words cut deep, and I felt a fresh wave of tears spill down my cheeks. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Was it my fault that he had treated me this way? I had been nothing but honest and true about my feelings for him, and yet, he had the audacity to blame me for his actions.
"Besides, it is your fault for not knowing who you were getting married to," he continued his cruel words echoing in my ears.
