Killian's mother looked at her confused husband and sighed slowly. "Jace, you really shouldn't have scared the little girl. Now, your son is angry with you. Let me tell you, he is quite protective of that girl," she said. "Maybe, he won't talk to you until you apologize to her."
Jace frowned and pinched his nose lightly. "It was just a reflex... You know, we have to be careful. We can't let anybody from the supernatural world know that we live here."
"Yeah, I know," Killian's mother sighed and leaned into her husband's arms. "But, she is just a little girl."
"I know. I will apologize to her," Jace said, admitting his fault. "But who is she? And what is she doing in our house?"
Taking her husband's arm, Killian's mother led him into the living room. As they settled onto the couch, she began explaining everything about Amara. Jace frowned thoughtfully upon hearing the situation. "So the little girl is lost?"
