When I noticed Jules' flustered ears,I knew right away what he was thinking. He must have recalled what transpired last night and that's why he is embarrassed.
I walked to the supplies cabinet and grabbed two fluffy towels,wrapped one around my waist and took the other to my Jewel. "Here,all covered up. How are you feeling by the way? Any fever or serious pain?"
"I'm alright Adrien. Just a little sore,I may not be able to ride my bikes for the rest of the year. Why are you so huge?" I knew right away from the exaggeration that he was fine. So I just laughed it off and lifted him out of the warm sheets. Revealing his pale skin that was littered with hickeys and prominent bite marks in several places.
"I know you liked the feeling of my little junior filling you up. Now let's get you soaked in some more salts to relieve the pain because we have placed to be." He hit my shoulder,but not strong enough to cause damage.
I wrapped a towel around his own waist,placed his hand over my shoulder for support and walked him to the bathroom. It was spacious,well ventilated and ambient.
I sat him down on top of the toilet lid as I started his warm bath. I also grabbed two new toothbrushes and a tube of toothpaste from the drawers inside the bathroom. We brushed our teeth while waiting for the water to fill up the jacuzzi bathtub. By the time we were done,the tub was also full.
I helped my baby into the jacuzzi first,intending to bathe him like last night but he had other plans. "Join me,let's bathe together."
Jules didn't have to say a word more,I hastily stepped into the warm bath before he canceled his invitation. I sat behind him and pulled him into my chest,using my hands to clean him. I shampooed his hair and washed his body with scented bodywash,and when I was done he did the same for me. I won't tell him but it's the first time ever since I became an adult that someone washed my body for me. There was something special and intimate about it.
After completing our bath,we drained the jacuzzi and stepped into the shower to rinse our bodies. Julian looked so sexy standing infront of me,if it wasn't for his sore backside I would've pinned him against this wall and penetrated him instantly. Since I couldn't,I settled for a feather light kiss on his sweet lips.
"What was that for?" Julian skeptically asked.
"I keep falling for you everyday." Another kiss…"I'm craving for another taste of your sweetness,but you're in no shape for what I might do to you." I tucked his hair behind his ears and planted another kiss on his forehead. "That's why my love,I'm kissing you whenever I can."
"That's so cheesy bro!!!"
"I call it being romantic,Amore." I wrapped my hands around his waist;he placed his on my shoulders and we started swaying steadily.
Later on…
Azrael's Residence
"Yo! What's with the troubled look?" I asked the man who showed up in my living room without being invited for the first time ever.
The housekeeper interrupted my special time with my man simply because this overgrown toddler assumed this was the right time to be a good brother.
And why won't he stop pacing?!
"Do you realize that you're making me dizzy with your pacing?" This made him stop.
He walked towards me,held my shoulders in a tight grip and looked me in the eyes. "This can't be happening,right? Please tell me it isn't." He shook me almost to the extent of rearranging my skeleton.
I had to take a deep breath and smack his hands away or else I'll be left with sore shoulders. "Calm down brother. What is happening? How about we start from there?"
Sigh
"Julian..." another sigh; "Julian says that Xéna appeared in his dream last night."
Silence enveloped the vast room we were in.
"Xéna? The goddess of the sea?" I broke the silence after what Adrien had just said registered in my mind.
He nodded.
My knees started feeling like jelly and soon after,I was on the floor,seated on my butt. I could not believe my ears. "This can't be!"
I tried denying it but just couldn't rub it off. Adrien was never one to have a sullen expression nor one to panic over matters,he is the most composed of us all. But right now,with this piece of information he is carrying,I think I can understand his behavior.
Nobody; I mean nobody in our entire existence has ever heard of a person whom Xéna has ever shown herself to. Our ancestors only heard tales about the goddess of the sea who bestows abundance upon her people but that was it, nobody has ever met her. We just had to learn about her through legends from our parents and had to share the same knowledge to our children. That's how it has always been,why now?
And why would she show herself to a human of all supernatural species? Why Julian?
"What exactly happened? Can you please tell me what she told him?"
Adrien sat down in the single seater next to me and released another sigh. "Julian says that Xéna had come to prepare him for what's to come. That the time has arrived and he's her chosen one." Adrien briefed me about everything else that Julian told him happened in his dream. "Julian had told me earlier on when we had just started dating that he receives visions and premonitions;usually as dreams. He told me that he knew what would happen to me had he rejected me. He told me about it all but I never thought that it was serious to this extent. I never thought at all that my jewel would be Xéna's chosen one. There are many people among merfolk,why didn't she choose one of them? Why didn't she choose me to fight this war? I was prepared since infacy to prepare for the prophecied war only for her to anoint someone who's clueless about battle,about us. Why?"
Adrien was on the verge of breaking down,he was beyond overwhelmed. I hate seeing my brother in this condition,when he's lost control of his emotions especially over something none of us have answers to.
"I don't know,brother. I have no idea not even a clue on why she chose a woman to fight this war." I told him. And it's the truth. I usually have theories on why things happen the way they do but even I have no theory in mind about this.
"What are we gonna do Azrael?" Adrien knelt down infront of me and held my trembling hands in his own,his bloodshot eyes tearing up. This image shook me to the core. I pulled him into a hug and held him as he sobbed. "I don't want to lose my jewel!!! We just started dating. What if he dies!!!..." Adrien kept on sobbing for a good ten minutes while I held him tight.
I had nothing to do or say. I had no idea what was going on nor did I have a plan on how to overcome this.
"Why did she do this to me;to us?" Adrien asked in a low,broken voice.
He was hyperventilating from all the wailing earlier. Had he not been speaking close to my ears I wouldn't have heard a thing.
"How about we try to trust her and the person she chose?" I suggested.
Adrien pulled back and looked at me like I had grown another head. "What do you mean,Azrael?"
"I'm saying,how about we leave the war to her and do what we can." He tried to cut me off but I wasn't done. "Listen to me Adrien,crying won't be of any help to us. But we can start with the fundamentals. Let's tell Julian about us before he learns of it through his visions. Let's prepare him and make sure he's fully aware of what he will be facing at least it's better than grieving yet we can't change a thing about it. Julian will best prefer to hear it from you or else you're most likely to have your first lover's fight over this."
Adrien's features started relaxing gradually as he gave it a thought. "You're right bro,I better tell him tonight before he sleeps. I feel like I have no time to slack off. It's now or never." Adrien replied while getting up hastily.
Before I knew it,he was out of the house. I think he was rushing to find Julian and reveal our secret.
I pray the goddess help him convince Julian.
