Jonathan, face to face with Michelle, confessed, "So, the reason why I went scraping the floor earlier and lost the round was all because of admiring you!"
"Honey!" Michelle smiled.
"In translation of what he said: 'I fell for you.'" the gym dude interpreted. The kids joined in with the clapping of their hands.
"No! That's not what I meant." Jonathan protested.
"So, it's a divorce you want?" Michelle teased.
"Kidding! Take it as a joke, honey. I definitely went scraping the floor for you." Jonathan clarified. Doria chuckled and mocked, "Dad!"
Jake commented, "It's so funny, especially when Dad has that miserable expression on his face."
"Okay, next-" Eric started to announce the next challenge but was interrupted by Marcus.
"No-no-no-no. Let's not go for another machine," Marcus suggested.
"Agreed. First time agreeing on something, uh big guy!" Jonathan said relieved.
"We'll go for the side plank," Marcus announced.
"What!" Michelle exclaimed surprisedly.
"I'm tired," Jonathan admitted, looking depressed again. Surprisingly, Michelle didn't look happy either.
"Something wrong?" Marcus asked Michelle, worried.
"My arms are so sore," Michelle complained. She showed Marcus the sore spot on her arm. Marcus gently touched it, asking how painful those spots were. The image presented of the two wasn't taken lightly by Jonathan, who rapidly shoved Marcus's hands away.
"Okay. Um, so the one lasting the same position wins," Eric explained the rules of the next challenge.
"With that, we'll determine our last champ right away!" Michelle exclaimed excitedly.
"Right!" Marcus agreed.
"Alright then, let's get over with this," Eric said, ready to start the next challenge.
"But what if I win? Won't we tie?" Jonathan asked.
"I highly doubt you'll win, but if you do, we'll go for another round," Michelle answered confidently. She excitedly dropped down to a side-planking position.
Jonathan pleaded for a break, "Like can we have like a five, ten, twenty-five-minutes break? We've been here since nine. My back is starting to hurt."
"Honey!" Michelle signaled him to get down and start the challenge.
"Maybe discussing on a strategy or-" Jonathan tried to stall but was cut off by Michelle.
"Honey, relax." she advised him calmly.
"How!? I'm being genuinely honest right now. Why look for psychopaths to torture me when I can simply just call you guys by your given names!" Jonathan complained frustratedly.
"Why say that?" Eric asked, disturbed by Jonathan's comment. The side plank position lasted only one minute until Jonathan called it quits and dropped flat onto the ground floor.
"Yass! Honey, hope you're ready!" Michelle cheered victoriously while Jonathan groaned in defeat on the floor.
Jake and Doria took this opportunity as a break for them. "The fun was short-lived," Jake commented disappointedly. Doria turned to her mom and asked, "Mum, we're going to buy some snacks. Do you guys want anything?"
Marcus helped Michelle get up and asked her if she wanted anything from the store. "Flavored water," he requested for himself while Michelle also agreed for the same.
Jonathan, lying flat on the floor, requested for "Packages of sweets."
"It can be anything," Eric said.
Doria, looking at Eric, responded, "Okay. -Oh, but they're baking muffins today."
"Really!" Eric exclaimed.
Doria turned to Jake and asked, "It's Saturday today, isn't it?"
The gym dude answered instead, "Yeah."
Jake checked his watch and said, "It's one o two PM. They are probably done baking."
"Newly fresh-baked muffins!" Eric exclaimed with excitement.
Doria added, "They have lots of variety on display too."
"Do they have muffins with raisins in them?" Eric asked.
Doria confirmed, "Yeah."
"Get me that one, please! Nine, please!" Eric requested.
"Okay," Doria agreed.
Eric and the kids went for snacks, while Marcus attended to Michelle's injured arms. Jonathan was on the floor, and he glanced at Marcus, warning him to maintain a friendship zone only.
