While Slow Heal was doing its work, me and the spider got into speaking about ourselves.
(Little one, what is your name?)
(Its Carkolov, what about you?)
(Monsters don't usually have names little one, so i am quite surprised that you have one considering you are just a crab.)
(I got it from a good human friend of mine.)
(Hey, would you like me to give you a name?)
(I would be delighted.)
(Alright then, what to call you…)
The spider looked into my eyes with anticipation and hope.
(How about Niria?)
The spider screeched in excitement.
(From now on i shall be called Niria.)
I continued healing Niria, with her talking to me about my past and more things about this world.
(I am surprised that you had come this close to me Carkolov, you are quite brave i must say!)
(What do you mean?)
(Why wouldn't i come near you?)
(Oho-)
(Do you not see my aura?)
(Aura?!)
Niria explained that everything in this world consisted of magical energy, called mana, and that most living beings can release their mana in the form of magic, skills and aura.
She had also told me that the better you can visualise and understand mana, the better your efficiency is while using it.
(Try and visualise the mana around you.)
(Alright then…)
But how should i do that.
If anything, shouldn't it be similar to heat?
In heat vision, the hotter something is the stronger the colour, so in mana terms, the more dense the mana the stronger the colour.
[Rare Skill: Mana Sense lvl.1 has been obtained.]
*Bleugh*
What is this?
My mind is being overloaded.
Am i going to faint again?
[Rare Skill: Mana Sense lvl.1 has levelled up to Rare Skill: Mana Sense lvl.2.]
[Rare Skill: Mana Sense lvl.2 has levelled up to Rare Skill: Mana Sense lvl.3.]
[Rare Skill: Mana Sense lvl.3 has levelled up to Rare Skill: Mana Sense lvl.4.]
…
This went on until Mana Sense reached level 10.
Looking up after getting off of the ground, i had realised that Niria had an extremely dense aura releasing off her.
I wonder what mine looks like.
(You can also hide most of the presence of your aura, but that gets harder as your mana increases.)
(What does my aura look like?)
Niria said my aura was a tranquil light blue colour which pulsed in waves as smooth as the sea itself.
(I really havent seen any aura like it in my life, it may not be rich but it is really calm!)
Imagining myself in the past, now with the addition of my aura, made me feel like my fly was down.
[Epic Skill: Slow Heal lvl.10 has evolved into Epic Skill: Heal lvl.1.]
(Did your Skill just evolve?)
(Wait how did you know?!)
(The feeling of the healing mana just became more nourishing, i can literally feel my body getting repaired.)
(So how long will it take now?)
(At this rate... maybe 2-3 hours.)
(Alright!)
Hours had gone by before we knew it, but talking with Niria had made it feel like minutes!
(This amount of healing his enough, you may stop now.)
(Yes!)
(Finally!)
(It sounds like you want to leave me as fast as possible...)
She was a spider, so she didnt have facial expressions.
So why did she sound so sad?
(Uh no i didnt mean it like that-)
(No no, dont apologise, i get it.)
NOW SHE IS POUTING!
(Would you like to meet sometime soon?)
(Speaking with you was really great!)
(I would like that as well, but considering how far away my home is...)
(I know!)
(How about you come live with me instead!)
Niria said she enjoyed that idea, but told me to follow her to her home before making my decision.
(So how many people do you live with?)
(Around 600.)
Damn.
I dont know if i can accomodate that many people.
As we arrived to Nirias 'home' i realised that it was just a giant cave filled with...
Spiders.
(I am the owner of this house, with all these spiders being my children.)
(They have the best mother ever!)
(You flatter me.)
(I cannot show my appreciation enough for your kind acts, so as thanks i first, thought to bring you here to stay for a few days while we get preparations made to move closer to you.)
(Well thats very kind of you.)
(And second, give you full ownership of all of us.)
['Niria: The Spider Queen' has accepted you as their master.]
(Thank you very much-)
[All ownership rights of 'Niria: The Spider Queen' have been placed apon their master.]
(WAIT WHAT!)
(We hope you treat us nicely... Master Carkolov.)
(Ummmm i dont know if i can do this...)
I got nervous due to the sudden pressure placed onto my shoulder, this new expectation is one very hard to live up to.
[Rare Skill: Leadership lvl.1 has been obtained.]
(Did you just activate a skill master?)
(Ah, no i didnt but i did aquire a new Skill named Leadership.)
(Also, just Carkolov is fine, we are still friends after all!)
(It is just an assumption, but i believe your new Skill increases the strength of your subordinates.)
(Thats neat!)
But she didnt reply to my request to just call me Carkolov...
(Neat?)
Spending a few days with Niria and her children was quite enjoyable, they taught me some skills like Thread Production and Far Sight, while also sparring with me to level up my skills, which included;
Rare skill: Impure Fortitude lvl.3 has levelled up to Rare Skill: Impure Fortitude lvl.5.]
[Ordinary Skill: Camouflage lvl.2 has levelled up to Ordinary Skill: Camouflage lvl.7.]
[Ordinary Skill: Fire Creation lvl.5 has levelledd up to Ordinary Skill: Fire Creation lvl.8.]
Just to name a few.
Along with that, Niria had taught me Wind Creation as i was voicing my struggles obtaining it while she had it at level 10.
It was really intense, it felt like a boot camp!
After having a train-fest with the spiders for 5 days, on my order, we set out to my area on the 6th.
Leading the crowd of 600+ spiders, i killed many threats, levelling up my skills bit more.
Due to the spiders sheer numbers, we took a little bit longer than expected, but after a day of travelling, we finally made it back home.
I can see great opportunities in this place in the near future...
