It is the morning after my first night in this mysterious world and mannnnn am i so hungry i could eat a snake!
With my stomach yelling at me to get moving and fill it, i ventured out my temporary safe space to go get myself some food.
Shhhhh!
I can sense a frog!

Well for now let's just say i'm talking to myself.
Surrounding awareness really comes in handy!

After using Speed-walk, i swiftly reached my target within seconds.
Step 1 of operation: kill frog, was to hide my presence and proceed to use Earth Manipulation to turn the ground underneath it to mud, this was surprisingly easy to do and was effective.
Step 2: after immobilising the frog i charged at it with Speed-walk and sliced off both of its front legs… or arms i don't know frog anatomy.
Step 3: striking at its head and killing it.
After going through step 2 i thought of drowning it instead in order to level up my Water Creation skill.
It was slow.
Very slow.
After around 5 minutes of pouring a constant stream of water on its head, along with causing pain to it to open up its mouth it finally drowned and died.
I feel bad…
Really bad, i could cry…

Obtaining the Rare Skill: Poker Face made my face rigid up, but i still had a remaining ache in my heart…

As i spoke my mind, streaks of silvery blonde hair waves in and out of the leaves, catching my eye.

Activating my new skill Camouflage, i crept up to the reflective strands and saw something i completely forgot about.
Humans.
A human girl, alone and defenceless wandering the forest like a lost puppy.
Her figure was slim, not frail… but delicate, her skin smooth with no blemishes.
Royalty?
No why would someone of royalty be in the forest by themselves?
Should i try and talk to her?
Oh yeah, i don't have any way to converse with her besides Thought Communication.
Well it's worth a shot.
Empty silence… until… more silence, but not as quiet?
Maybe it worked?

She stopped dead in her tracks and looked around skittishly.

Just before she turned, i cancelled my Camouflage skill for her to see me.
The girl jumped and gave an exasperated gasp.

She did nothing but stare.

Her stance was timid, her voice even more so.
(I am sorry for not replying sooner, i am mute and have never been able to talk. I am really surprised that i could have a conversation through my mind.)

We both sat down on a log on the ground, speaking to eachother through Thought Communication.
As we continued delving into conversation, i asked her about herself and her situation.
It appears that her name is Okada Lance, a girl from a nearby kingdom who was in a carriage near by which had been attacked by a Forest Troll, and being ordered by her butler, had fled the area which led to her getting lost.

She spoke with a down mood but cheered up after letting me talk to her on a first name basis.

I don't know what strove me to say that, considering my name was originally Astam Crabum, but i just felt like that name didn't really fit the person who i was anymore.
(Not many people would believe they are talking to a crab, but yes i am a real crab.)

(I had seen some humans in the past and decided to copy their manner to converse more easily.)
A complete utter lie, but why would i tell someone talking to a crab that i used to be human but died?

We both chuckled for a bit but then it went quiet as she was thinking up a name to give me.

Did she seriously just take crab and make it sound a bit special?
